My nine year old daughter attends KinderCare on 511 West Campbell Road Richardson Texas 75080, where she was physically and verbally attacked by a teacher that's employed there by the name of Ashley. My child was jacked up by her shirt, her arm and her backpack on November 4, 2019. Kayla had supposedly been seen playing with another child when this teacher walked up behind her and grabbed her so hard it turned her around to her facing the teacher that was behind her. She proceeded to yell at my child. Then when asked by another teacher what happened, Kayla was trying to example that they were just playing when Ashley the "teacher" told Kayla she was a lier in front of the other kids. Kayla had separated herself from the other kids and in a corner crying because she doesn't understand why she was treated that way when she was just playing. Its very disheartening and scary to know that my child being in pain and emotionally distraught from the abuse of adults, the same ones that are supposed to be caring for her that no one informed me. NOT a phone call, my email, not even a text that my child is crying & maybe needs to be picked up.
I trusted these adults that are employed with KinderCare. KinderCare has been such a trusted name among parents that I honestly thought me child was safe within KinderCare's care. Are these really the procedures that are taken here at KinderCare? Even if a child does something that is wrong are these the action you should take as an adult? Do you verbally attack a child? What does physically and verbally attacking a child teaches the child? What examples does it give our kids? If you can't control your actions as an adults maybe working around kids should not be your profession.
I will be contacting the local authorities to find out what are the steps needed to proceed in filing charges against someone who commits physical assault on a minor. If the center could fully cooperate with the authorities on investigating this matter that would be fully appreciated it. I know that Ashley's last name will be needed, if you could provide that information that would be great. By me speaking out and standing up for my daughter and what's right, I hope that no one tries to take any revengeful actions/measures against a innocent child. A innocent child that deserves to be protected from vicious adults. I picked KinderCare for the simple fact is that their number one goal is to keep the most important thing in the world to us safe! So it saddens me that this was not the first goal on November 4th 2019 when it came to my daughter!
