I ordered a bicycle rack through Competitive Cyclist (a Backcountry company) specifically because they were offering 2nd day air shipping because I was travelling to pick up a bike on 10/11.

Having not yet received my order, I tracked it with UPS to find it is to arrive 10/11. I contacted Competitive Cyclist to find out why they didn't ship it on time, and was told that it was shipped on the 5th and that the shipment was delayed by UPS and was beyond their control. I then contacted UPS who informed that while the shipping label was generated on the 5th, the shipment was not actually transferred to UPS until the 7th.

I contacted the company again and informed them of their misinformation. They told me the warehouse acted independently of the sales department and had no explanation as to why they were offering two day shipping that they could not deliver.
Desired outcome: Refund of purchase price, as waiting for the rack caused me to lose an entire day of vacation
