Burger King Headquarters Management:

I am contacting you regarding the deplorable and disrespectful condition of the U.S. flag-national ensign flying above your restaurant located at 3035 Centreville Rd, Mclearen Square, Oak Hill, VA 20171. It is filthy, horribly tattered, and is in a disgraceful condition - the worst one I have ever seen anywhere. As a DoD military retiree with four mobilizations to the Middle East since 1992, I am highly offended every time I drive by this restaurant (daily) and see the extremely poor condition of this flag. It is disrespectful and a direct insult to every person who ever served in the U.S. military. Surely Burger King can do better than this, especially since we are the ones who provide for and facilitate your safe operating environment in the first place. Please order the manager of this restaurant to purchase a new flag and replace this one immediately. It must be properly disposed of and not just thrown in the trash can. The manager can deposit into in the repurposed white mailbox in front of the Herndon, VA American Legion Lodge in old downtown Herndon for proper burial with a ceremony later. I raised this matter directly with the store manager before, but no action was ever taken. My next step will be to submit an op-ed in the Washington Post if this important matter isn't resolved immediately. The last place that Burger King wants to offend military veterans is in the National Capital Region, believe me. Thank you.
