I was given a Shakespeare wild Shakespeare wild series fishing Pole combo as a gift from my kids. The Pole is 5.6" It is an ultra light wild series. The very 1st day I went to use the Pole it got snagged and I gave it a little tug to try and unsnag it and the Pole snapped in half. A fish would have pulled on it harder than I did. The poperiod the poll is defective or it would not have done that. I am 62 years old and have been fishing my whole life and have never snapped a pull. I took my Pole back to the sportsman's warehouse where my kids bought it for me. You can see that the poll is brand new, it still has the plastic on the handle it looks brand new except it is snapped in half yeah snapped in half. The store was rude to me they treated me like I was lying and would not exchange my Pole for me. The poll was a gift. I have been trying for 6 months to resolve this period all I want is the same poll to replace it that's all I'm asking for. I am so disappointed. My whole entire family has spent money for years and right. I can't believe they will not exchange my fishing Pole. I will never shop there again I am so insulted
Desired outcome: A replacement Shakespeare 5.6" wild series ultra light replacement pole, or at least the top half of the pole
Does anyone really respond and try to resolve these or do they just blow you off like sportsman's warehouse does? I have NEVER heard of a store not honoring a defective gift. Except for Spotsmans
