Choice Hotels International

My girlfriend and I stayed at the so-called "Quality" Inn in Marysville last night. We were going to see a band and experience the Tulalip Casino. We loved that the casino provides a shuttle. But we were so disappointed with the shape the hotel was in. We were told they were doing renovations, but we saw no indications of such. First when you walk into the lobby the carpet is so dirty, the furniture is old and dirty. Then we went to our room. The carpets again were so filthy. The room has been dusted well (we were surprised) but the mirror was so dirty (filmy) and the toilet, around where the seat attachs to the base was an amber color because of the urine build-up, so disgusting. And I had to sleep on my arm because all four pillows on my bed smelled like variations of old man mustiness, disgusting smell. The sheets were like sleeping on a gunny sack they were so rough. I told my thrifty girlfriend, never, never again. I thought the front desk would want to know when we left but we didn't get an apology. She said she would speak withe the housekeeping staff, and she said they were renovating. Again, we saw no indications of any construction whatsoever. I wouldn't say the cheap price we paid $110.89 was even worth it. I didn't sleep much. Probably could've slept better in my car. Next time we are splurging, well, as much as one can in Marysville. I just read that only 1% of hundreds of Choice Hotel complaints are resolved. For what it's worth.
