Starbucks - Safety / health issue

Hello. I am a regular customer of Starbucks. I purchase a specialty coffee 5-7 days per week. I have been a loyal customer for 10+ years. I have had minor issues over the years but am not one to call in a complaint unless absolutely unacceptable. The majority of my experiences have been positive thus I continue to bring my business to Starbucks.
This evening I went to take out 2 Christmas coffee drinks. I went to my local store, located at Aurora Village in Seattle, WA.
I often purchase my coffee at this location and must say 98% of the time, the customer service is above average and the staff is extremely friendly, efficient and service is a pleasure. However, this evening, I saw that while the Barista was preparing my drink, she accidently dropped the cup after adding mocha product and caught it in her hand. As she did, she had her hand fully inside the cup and then proceeded to continue using the same cup to complete the beverage. I stopped her in the process and asked that she prepare a new one, which she did but was not pleased about it nor did she offer an apology or any communication.
I have worked in customer service myself and understand these things happen at times but this is totally unacceptable to touch the inside of the cup with a full hand grasp and then serve a customer regardless. Not only is this never acceptable service but in the age of Covid-19, it really is outrageous, unhygienic and very dangerous. Again, I am not one to complain and I understand the urgency at times when employees are working under pressure but I feel this is information that needs to be communicated so that employees understand the critical nature and/or possible consequence of this behavior.
In the least, I would have liked some acknowledgment of the situation and not receive attitude, as if I was annoying for requested she use a new cup.
Accountability would have been nice.
Again, the unhygienic nature is scary to say the least.

Thank you for your attention to this matter and I would appreciate a response in writing or phone.

Sincerely,

Sheila Lipman-Soares
