I was standing in line at the money center/customer service area waiting for my turn. The cashier, Carolyn, asked what I needed and when I told her "Hi, I'm here to make a money order." She had a whole attitude and rudely said to me "WELL.. that's not where you get it." Just because I was in the wrong line. She could've just told me to come around the other side. So from the beginning of meeting her she had the worst attitude through the whole process. She tried to find reasons why she couldn't do it for me. She finally found a reason. My boyfriend usually lets me use his debit card while he's at work to pay the rent. But for the first time I wasn't able to use his card to make a money order, which is fine, I ended up going somewhere else and being able to do it. But anyway, after that whole encounter I don't even want to come to Winco for anything anymore. I've been making money orders and shopping at Winco for like 10 years now. Im so disappointed in the company for hiring somebody like Carolyn, that picks and chooses who she wants to provide good customer service to. I'm a person of color, and I've been working in customer service for awhile and I don't treat people the way I was treated at WinCo.
