Panera Bread - customer service and uncooked food

I was elated to have a Panera within short driving distance of our home. I have gone to our store in Killeen, Texas, several times to include the drive thru. We were driving through Killeen last night and ate a late dinner at Panera (after 8pm). I had to ask the lady behind the counter if she could help us, no one is in the line, just us and she stood there and said nothing. I asked for some bakery items since they are the first thing. I asked her what a cobblestone was and she pointed to the Cinnamon Raisin bread and said that was what it was. We moved on down to the register, she rung up our baked goods and I had to tell her we wanted to order other items, she was telling us how much we owed. This girl never spoke except when we had questions and tell us the amount of baked goods. I ordered my item, steak and white cheddar half with creamy tomato soup, only item I get there beside pumpkin muffie. Husband to girl behind counter what does the Asiago steak sandwich have on it. girl: steak and cheddar, husband: uumm you sure? girl: yes, husband: what comes on a turkey bacon bravo? girl: uumm, husband looked online, and said he would take one of them and turkey chilli. daughter ordered a grill cheese. husband ordered water, myself large sweet tea and daughter organic chocolate milk. food came out in 10 to 15 minutes: PROBLEM TIME! “David” brought out two of our items first: steak white cheddar and tomato soup (no spoon) and turkey bacon bravo w/turkey chili I take a bite of my steak and cheddar and set the sandwich down on the plate and noticed bright red spots mixed with horseradish and oil. I think I cut my hand somehow and look at my hands and no cut. Husband lifts top of sandwich roll and there it was the source of the blood. Part of the sandwich was bright red to pink, (like a rare steak). My husband talked with David and was told that is the way it is suppose to look. I interjected that it was not like that the several times before when I had ordered the sandwich. David stood there waiting for my husband to take the plate back and which time my husband said well can we get it cooked longer to where it is at least pink? David gave it to the folks behind the food counter. David then brought out my daughter’s grill cheese, it was at this time I asked for a spoon for my soup. My daughter went and looked around the lobby for a spoon even a plastic one and no spoon. My husband gave me his spoon, so I could at least eat my soup. He started eating his sandwich and then said wait a minute, isn’t my turkey bacon bravo suppose to have bacon on it? he picked through all layers of his half sandwich to make sure he didn’t miss a small piece of bacon. To no avail, no bacon! David has passed our table twice to go to the table behind us… still no spoon…. David brings me sandwich back and still no spoon, we ask him yet again for a spoon. David brings spoon. I tell David “don’t go anywhere, the chili might be cold” this is when David said “THERE IS A MICROWAVE OVER THERE UNDERNEATH THE COUNTER AND YOU CAN HEAT IT BACK UP!” (SAID THIS WHILE POINTING) I would like to let you know how much was bought at your establishment: 1 half steak and white cheddar with creamy tomato soup 1 turkey bacon bravo with turkey chili 1 grill cheese 1 chocolate chip muffie 1 pumpkin muffie 1 package of chocolate chippers (12 petite cookies) 1 cup of water 1 organic chocolate milk 1 large sweet tea roughly $44.00 of our hard earned money for a family of three. We were treated horribly and paid to be treated as such. It might be worth your wild to hire folks that enjoy to earn money and be around customers and take pride in their job. David and the two gentleman I could see at the food counter had more fun talking about social media and comics. I told my husband I was not going to eat that horrible sandwich. The cheese was not even melted only greasy…. manager on duty credited our debit card for my meal and I am still wondering if that enthusiastic register girl cared to give us our 99 cent charge for at least three of our bakery items sense that is what the sign on the register states. I did mention it to her. This place is suppose to be upscale and we don’t mind paying for the food if the food is worth it. With all due respect this was the visit from heck and almost thought for a moment we were getting “punked” David was that hateful and non caring attitude. Total Shame, I prided myself in the customer service occupation . God Bless, this location is going to need it after 8pm anyway.
