Jan. 12, 2022 I had my teeth cleaned and x-rays, because I just found out that I have cancer and wanted to get things taken care of before cancer treatments. I was told that 6 months had not past since last cleaning. I thought since it was a new year that this would be acceptable and I never had it in writing otherwise. In the past Dental Quest would allow me to get my teeth cleaned earlier because I always wanted to clean teeth right before Labor Day and sometimes the dates would be thrown off because of weekends and such, I didn't think this time would be any different. But as soon as I mentioned that I have cancer... entire attitudes changed and all the niceties went away. After no help in resolving this situation; I ask about getting my teeth cleaned in March and was told that Denta Quest knew that my teeth were already cleaned and that they would not pay for my cleaning on my original appointment date. I have had to call and appeal and jump thru hoops, next they say that I will be canceled for non payment and I have all my checks to prove that payments were made and on top of all of that they started sending me letters saying "final notices" when I never receive the first notice. I have been with Denta Quest for over 4 years and never had any problems until I mentioned CANCER. Please someone respond... Kim

Every time and I mean every time my dentist submits a claim for dental work I have done to me to denta quest the claim comes back "denied." it once took me six months to get reimbursed for a simple cleaning and x rays. They have refused payment for the most absurd reasons! They never have paid a claim on the first time it was submitted! They intentionally look for reasons not to satisfy a claim once they receive it! I once had to resubmit a claim four times before they reimbursed me. I recently submitted a claim for my wife who had two fillings refilled after the originals came out and denta quest refused payment, why? Because they want to discuss with my dentist why this procedure is necessary! I have complained to my insurance company clover health in new jersey about dealing with them and they still renewed them for dental services! The most ridiculous claim dispute was when my dentist submitted a claim in the amount of $110.00 for a cleaning and x rays of my teeth. Denta quest sent him a check for $1.10! When I called denta quest about this they said dentists sometimes do submit claims for small amounts! Do you believe this?!? I could tell so many more incidents of denied benefits but I am sure it will avail me nothing!
