I am really unhappy that I have to go to this extent because I have rented with Hertz/Dollar Rental in the past, HOWEVER, today was unbelievable. There were 2 women at the counter and I would hope that I went to the one that was not having such a great day and this is not her usual demeanor. I know the procedure with prior purchases when using a debit card. The elderly woman with the longer red/brown hair was extremely rude and dismissive. I had just stood in line and listened to the gentleman in front of me go through the steps of having to utilize his debit card with the concierge with the shorter hair and he proceeded to get his rental - no problem. I proceeded to the counter and handed over my driver's license and military (Navy Federal) debit card only to be dismissed and not even afforded the information the man prior to me received. I told her that money was taken from my card already and before I could explain that I already knew the policy on debit cards she had handed me my items back, dismissed what I was saying and told me to call "them" to get my money back. I called the 1800 number to receive my refund, but I will continue to warn everyone about the poor service I received.
