USN Ultimate Shopping Network review: No delivery of Jewelry! 79

This review was chosen algorithmically as the most valued customer feedback.

Ordered mid July 2006 two items of Jewelry. It never appeared so in October I called the shopping channel and cancelled the orders and asked for a refund on my Credit Card. I was assured I would get that in a few days. Cut a long story short... I have called, emailed, called, emailed for many months and still nothing. They have my money and I have nothing and it seems I can do nothing about it. I have tried reporting them many times to whoever I can but still they seem to have got away with it. I have reported them to the Better Business Bureau but they have got no where and closed the case. I have reported them to the Government office dealing with complaints and they have done nothing. I now find they have transfered calls to India where I am again told I will have my refund but nothing has appeared. How can this happen in America that a Shopping Channel can take your money and keep it with nothing in return. Who do we complain to? and who will make sure they pay the customers that they have taken money from? At this stage January 2007 its obvious I am not getting my money so is that theft?

I have the same issue going - I ordered a $2000.00 diamond tennis bracelet in OCTOBER 2006.
No bracelet - No refund!

I am also so disappointed in a system that would allow this to happen to your average hard working American.

Someone Help!

It seems there are plenty of other people who have fallen prey to these people - DO NOT BUT FROM THEM! Out of 4 orders, I received only one.

The one order I did receive, I returned because it was defective and asked for a refund, but they sent me another one instead. Obviously, refunds are against their policy, even when they cannot deliver the merchandise.

I was lucky to have been able to lodge disputes for two of the orders with the credit card company, but the third was past the credit card company's length of time allowed. If you can, contact the credit card company to dispute and they will credit your money back and deal with the company themselves.

I too would be interested in joining a class action - please contact me if one gets started.

Thanks!

USN has been into me for $6,000.00 since last May, 2006! I called them repeatedly and they kept saying I would get my refund but I never did. My Citi-Bank master card people did absolutely nothing but say they were not responsible for frivolous purchases on my part.

Here is my story: In April 2006, I ordered a bracelet for my aunt for her birthday. When I received it, it was the worst piece of jewelry I had ever seen. I returned it and they did refund that because it was only $221.00. However, I had ordered two diamond rings from them. I received one and the diamonds were so cloudy that I immediately returned the ring and cancelled the second ring. After one month of waiting for a refund, I started calling them. They repeatedly told me I would be getting a refund. I never did.

Recently out of the blue I received a call from them stating I would have my refund in 15 - 30 days. I counted the days off on the calendar (business days) and you can guess the rest. I never got my refund. Not only do I still have the $6000.00 on my credit card but I have been paying finance charges on it for the past 10 months.

I am more than willing to enter a class action suit. I want compensation including the time I have spent trying to get my money refunded.

These people are ripping everyone off and we should put a stop to it.

Please email me with your comments.

Thank you

USN is closed and off the air. They have no inventory and only camera equipment remains. They owe over $1,000,000.00 to vendors. The public will never see their money or repaired items. BK will be announced shortly. All phone and email service is gone.

I have been trying to get money back on a cancelled order since September 2006 and have been given the same response. It will be provided in 10 days, then another 10 days...then on 1/23 I was told by their Offshore Customer Service(In INDIA) that it would be 15-20 days. Now we are seeing that all their numbers are not working. And it appears that a class action suit is in the future to get this taken care of. Note that the owener. CEO/Board are held liable for fraudulent charges and stolen money. I have also contacted the Better Business Bureau and Attorney General's office in California.

I have been informed by the previous partner(Investor Relations) that this company can not file BK as they did this back in 2004. The only thing they can do is to find capitol to keep the shop open or just merely close their doors. It was noted that this company owes hundreds of thousands of dollars if not over 1 million to vendors and the end customers.

The person to be under any lawsuit is Mark J Miller (President and CEO of USNCorp).

If these people (USN) are off the air and are filing BK, then why do they still have a website with jewelry for sale?

These people are out and out criminals.

Can't something be done?

Mr. Mark J. Miller (President and CEO of USN Corporation) should be personally held responsible for managing a company so blatantly perpetrating fraud on some many consumers.

Can we get the Attorney General involved?

We need to take action!

I purchased a ring in Sept. 2006. Returned it per their lengthly instructions and have yet to receive any refund. People work hard for their money these days and most of us can not afford to just throw money away. Contact me if a lawsuit is initiated.

I was somewhat more fortunate than others. I did received my order and was satisfied with the ring. However, my diamond ring was to have a certification with it. It did not. I called on two occasions (both times in January 2007) and was told each time I would receive the certificate within 7-10 days. As of this date, I have never received my certificate. I too have tried numerous times since to reach USN by phone and the phones do not work.

My husband purchased a ring back in November for a Christmas present for me from USN. Needless to say, I never received my present Christmas morning. We have had no luck contacting them & when we actually got through to them, we were told we were still in the billing process. As you all have seen, no website- no phone- no email- NO CONTACT AT ALL with the USN. There has to be something we can do to get our money back. Look at all of us that has been took for our money!

Of course I have the same issues. The first purchase that I made was in March 2006 for a $400.00 watch and guess what I still have not received that refund. And besides that they had over $6,000 in my money due to rings that I ordered that were either never shipped and or never refunded. I spoke with Mr Sweeney SEVERAL times and finally received a check from them four months later.

And I think its a total shame that we had to call over to INDIA to try to get help from this company! That is in Glendale CA . That was a total waste of my time as they did not understand anything that I was trying to tell them. That I wanted my money back. All they kept saying is! I know Miss Brenda!
I can't tell you how sick I would get every time I called and someone from India answered and said that as they didn't know what else to say.

I hope one day we'll get all our money back.

I bought a ring from this company and returned it. I have a signature of them receiving the returned ring but they have not issued the credit on my credit card. I spoke to them several times with promises, but no results. This has been going on since October 06.

The same thing happened to me. I purchased $2,000.00 diamond earrings July 2006. I called in August to check the status, and was told I had to wait another 10 days. I cancelled the order immediately and was promise a credit with in 2 months. I called and e-mailed 3 months later. Again, I was promised a refund. I filed a complaint with the California BBB, but they weren't able to get my money either. I called Directv, and a few weeks later, the channel was removed. The next thing to do is to file in California state court, but I live on the east coast. I would be more than happy to join a class action.

Also, their website is no longer active.

I purchased a ring from USN that was damaged in October 2006 for $2500.00, returned it right away and have never seen my refund. I have complained to every government agency I thought might have an interest, both in California and to the feds. Still no money.

I too was swindled by USN. I purchased a diamond ring in August 2006 for $2300.00. I never received the ring and my $2300.00 was never returned. I have filed a complaint with every agency and still no money was returned. I had an attorney threaten them with litigation and these letters were ignored. I tried to bring Mr. Miller into court but was unable to serve him. Maybe we need to go after the TV channels that sponsored USN. These people need to be brought to justice.

Mark Miller is the fall guy, the real culprits are crooks by the names of Brian Kelley of Manhattan beach, Michael Rhinestein of Beverly Hills, Brad Berdot and Todd Southwick of Los Angeles and Danny Blair of Hermosa Beach. These are the REAL People that live lavish lifestyles and drive fancy cars while evading the law and NOT paying YOU BACK! Do NOT believe them when they say they have nothing to do with USN. THESE Are the real CROOKS that took your MONEY. THIS IS FRAUD AND THEY MUST BE PUNISHED. MARK MILLER IS A FIGURE HEAD PUT INTO PLACE TO TAKE THE RAP!

I'm having the same problem with these thieves, I used my CC to pay for a Three Stone Diamond ring since last October, I never got the ring and I never had a refund and I have been paying interest to my CC since then for the $2604 I paid for the ring, I already reported this to my CC, but I really think we all should filed a complaint at the Better Business Bureau, and see what we can get from this , I’m afraid that this is a huge scam.

I am absolutely puzzled as to how a business like this could scam so many people like this so blatantly and get away with it. This is the U.S. where is the FTC , The Better Business Bureau ?. Why is there not an agency out there when you need them to protect our rights. Where is the attorney general? I lost 900.00 not including the finance charges I have paid since my orders in September 06. One order I received and returned in September , the other two orders were never received. My attempts to contact customer service were futile, you couldn't get through. some one finally contacted me ,from India!? about my return in order to get me to take a store credit plus an additional 20% incentive of the total order. I stated I wanted item credited to the original method of purchase. He then gave me another number to call . I finally got through to this number and am told I would be receiving a credit on my card for the original of amount of purchase within 15 to 30 days... it is now march 07 ! Will there be restitution for the victims of this SCAM!?

We're all in the same boat. As a company who performed services for this firm - we haven't been paid. We've emailed; we've faxed and called for 6 months now. We sent a formal demand for payment which was returned "unsigned". We'd be very anxious in participating in a "Class Action Suit" against this company. Any willing attorneys out there?

I ordered a diamond ring in Sept. 06, I'm still waiting for it! I called them in November and they told me that the ring had been in back order however in was in stock and they would be shipping it the next day. In December I called back, because I hadn't received the ring. Guess what? The ring was in back order again; at this point they offered me a refund. It's been 3 months and I,m yet to see a credit on my Master Card. Like all of you I am shock that they can get away with stealing from so many people. I agree with many of you if there is class action please contact me.

I am in total agreement with everyone else! I had placed an order first part of Dec.2006...two items...they were to be Christmas presents for my mother. I kept checking on the status of my order. Had a VERY hard time getting in touch with them ...would call,e-mail, wait on hold for an hour...get voice mail. It was late for Christmas but did come. Unfortunately it was wrong. One item was right but they sent two of the same thing. I had ordered a bracelet and a pair of earrings but received two bracelets. Took forever to get in touch with them again about the problem but got an RA# and sent the bracelet back (they said they couldn't send out the earrings until they got the bracelet back.) I waited and never got the earrings. Of course contacting them is not easy but I still would try. Then I was told they had not yet received the bracelet and tried to blame UPS saying they had stolen several packages from them all the time. And told me I should get in touch with UPS to see if the item had been delivered and once I had proof that it had to call them back for a fax number and they would take care of things from there. I got the information from UPS which showed that they indeed did deliver the package and it was signed for but when I called back the man told me it was still not in their system and should be put in later that day and to call back in couple days...well I gave them a week and of course could not get in touch with them. They have my $600.00 and I am extremely angry. I want my money back! If something can and is going to be done please let me know. And I am sorry for anyone else who is going through this...it is a nightmare.

The same thing happened to me. I ordered a pair of diamond earrings in June of 2006. I was disappointed with the clarity of the diamonds so I returned them with the RA# in July of 2006. The earrings were about $2000. I also ordered a diamond ring for $2400 and this item was charged to my credit card but the item was never shipped to me because it was not in stock. I was promised a credit back on my credit card for both items, but never received a refund. I heard the same story about the customer service company relocating from India back to California and some type of restructuring of the company. All of the promises that I would receive a credit back on my credit card resulted in being too late to file a dispute with my credit card company. So I would like to join in a class action suit as well.

I have the same story; purchased diamond ring returned for refund last June 2006 sent emails, letters, and phone calls, even have emails from USN promising refund within certain time period. No refund to date. If I did this to them I would be in jail right now. I believe Mark Miller and company executives should be held accountable. Anyone that would like to pursue a class action lawsuit contact me at email. We as consumers should not let this simply be swept under the rug.

We ordered a necklace from USN in August 2006, it never arrived. We called to get our money back, they assured us that we would have it, we never received it. We called again, they told us that the necklace was being shipped from Indonesia so it takes longer... 6 months later and no necklace. Now their phone lines are disconnected and we can't get a hold of them. Their website is also "down for maintenance." DO NOT BUY FROM THEM! They are scammers!

I purchased a coin set from this company in July 06, and they charged $813 on my credit card. I was unhappy with the quality of the product and returned it immediately in accordance with their return policy. After waiting a few months, the customer service rep promised I would see a refund on my statement. Several months later I still have not seen my refund, and my credit card company has been little help. I did receive a call from someone named Morgan Steckler, who said he was the CEO of USN, after I purchased the coins. He wanted me to contact him with any future orders with promises of better deals than the ones on TV. His cell phone has since been turned off. Amazing!

Amazingly, USN is actually a publicly traded company! Read their SEC public filings. They have a CEO- Mark Miller and a Board of Directors. The CEO and the Board are the ones responsible for this mess and they are the ones who should give us back our money! The board members are Andy Schmidt, Terry Washburn and Gary Wolfe. By the looks of the SEC filings Reinstein is just the guy who started the Company early on- Mark Miller and his cronies on the board are the ones who took millions while bilking customers.

Mark Miller is NOT the guiding hand behind this mess, only the fall guy. Mike Rhinestein and Brian Kelly are the master crooks still calling the shots and the biggest stock holders of USN. Read the FTC filings against them. These people have ripped people off over and over again and they must be stopped! Brian Kelly's personal phone number is [protected], call him and let him know what you think of HIM! Brad Berdot the last president of USN before Mark Miller, who conveniently escaped before the doodoo hit the fan can be reached at [protected]. He is another mastermind that set this hoax anf fraud up to take your money.

Don't be fooled, these creeps must be stopped. This is FRAUD! Call the FTC, The Attorney General and the FBI in your state and scream! They will do this again and again to other innocents.

SPEAK UP! They are based in Texas and Still in Bankruptcy court in Los Angeles. We need to find out which court they are in and complain loud and clear to the judge. What are you waiting for?
