Vacasa in Ocean City MD review: Summer vacation rental

I have been going to Ocean City for over 50 years. For the last 20 years I stayed at homes on Sunset Island. This year I rented 1Beach Side Mews (a six bedroom rental) from June 18, 2022 to June 25, 2022. I paid $11,781.18 for the week. The rental was 9.5 out of 10 stars.

I was expecting a clean well equipped upscale rental given the amount that I paid. Bottom-line is that the property's main living area was very poorly maintained and under equipped.

Major issues with main living area:

1.) Dining room was very dirty. The sitting chairs were terribly stained. The rug was stained and the edges were curling up (a danger to small children).

2.) The living area did have enough lighting, especially the game area. Again, the rug was dirty. And, the furniture needed to be cleaned.

3.) The kitchen was a joke. It was under stocked in terms of cooking tools. There were no pans, only 2 pots, no ice cream scoop, no strainers, no measuring cups, no mixers, no serving dishes, insufficient number of forks, knives and spoons for a family of 12, etc.. The stove was physically damaged.

We did contacted Vacasa, the property manager, several times during our stay. It took 6 days for them to respond to our first call. I did contact Vacasa after the stay. They rewrote my narrative and said the problems were mine. They did not accept responsibility for poor management.
