Got talked into attending a Vacation Club seminar with the offer of $300 in groceries at my favorite grocery chain. They gave me a card which said go to www.claimyourvisacards.com to register yourself. After I registered they sent me to www.valuebuzz.com. I'm supposed to print a voucher each month for 12 months. Then I mail the voucher in along with $100 of grocery receipts and they are supposed to send me a visa card containing $25. I sent in the voucher with receipts for Jul '09 and I'm still waiting for my visa card. Also, now I can't access their website and their phone is a nonworking number. Who do I report this scam to? The only company name I could find on the brochure was Incentive International.

I too am having trouble! I bought an extra piece of furniture that I was planning on purchsing but down the road because I didn't really have the money to put out. They offered a $500 grocery voucher if I spent so much and that extra peice of furniture brought my total past the amount I needed to spend! Now I can't access the website to get the August Voucher!

The company promising the certificates filed for Chapter 11 Bankruptcy on June 25th, 2009. That's why none of you are getting your certificates. The companies that sold you furniture (like in my case) or other products are not responsible and can't help. It was not originally a scam, although it certainly feels like it! My sympathies to everyone who got suckered into thinking they got a good deal, myself included.

I bought a washer and dryer at a local store and was promised a $500 rebate as part of the sales contract. I mailed the first $100+ original sales slips, and as of today, August 18 have not received my first $25 gift card.

The website cannot be accessed to print out the August Grocery Redemption Voucher nor can they be reached by phone.

What a scam!

I got scammed too. I subscribed with DishOne TV because of the $300 rebate for gas receipts. Now the program is defunct. I never received one penny of the rebate. What recourse do we have?

I purchased furniture from Beck's furniture in Rancho Cordova, CA and was promised a $600 rebate for grocery receipts. The furniture cost $600 so I thought it would be worth the hassle to send the receipts in for the next 24 months. Could of bought the same furniture through Direct Buy for $500. I successfully downloaded July's voucher but can't get through to the website for any further information or vouchers. It sounded too good to be true, it probably is.

For those who have not found out, the company declared bankruptcy in July 2009. I purchased the VISA gift cards for a small fee through a fundraiser for yourhomework.com. Here is the address I was was able to find before the website disappeared. PO Box 11000 Mesa AZ, [protected]

I purchased a kangen machine worth $4, 000 and with this luminous plan who were able to financed me and encouraged me to join this Food & FUEL for free program to get $1, 000 free gas and groceries. I printed my first voucher for gas and groceries together with a $100 worth of groceries and $100 gas but I haven't heard anything at all. Today I'm supposed to do it again for this month but I can't even access to their website anymore. I believed that this is scam. There is a saying " whatever you do unto others, it will comes back to you. "

Yes, the exact same deal when I bought a SAUDER brand Corner Desk from GO FURNITURE in MANCHESTER, CT. I got a voucher for $500 Claim Your Groceries, mailed in my receipts and haven't seen a penny. Now I get the same Bankruptcy notice for BZZ Resource Management at the Claim Your Groceries website and the website for ValueBuzz.com is not available. The companies that gave out the vouchers should be held reponsible if nothing comes out of the Bankruptcy. They got a Sale because of this and we got nothing.

I went into a loan company called Cash Jar, they promised me $300.00 worth of gas, every month I am to save $100.00 worth of gas receipts and submit them to get a $25.00 gift card. I tried to print out a voucher for september, web site is not working.
I suppose the $100.00 worth of gas receipts will not work either. What do we do.
This is a tricky way to convience people to purchase products.

Did any of you actually try going back to the store that sold you the merchandise in the first place? I did and they set me up with a new company doing the same $25 card per month thing and were very apologetic about the whole thing.

Same happened to me! I bought all new stainless steel appliances in my kitchen and received the voucher for $500 in groceries. I followed the instructions and have yet to receive my VISA card and the website is defunct.

How do I get what was promised? Do I have to go to court?

Anyone have any ideas?

I too am pissed off. I purchased furniture from Grevior Furniture in Franklin, NH--because they gave me BOTH a $500 FOOD and a $500 GAS redemption using the bogus-ClaimYourVisaCards.com scam. I decided to purchase the furniture mainly because the store offered this promotion. I'm going to call the furniture store and see if they want the furniture back because I could easily go purchase similar for a couple hundred dollars less. I'm pretty angry about this situation and feel it is extremely unfair to consumers. Also, keep in mind that to apply for the cards there was a $9.95 fee plus a $4.50 processing fee for each card. So this "deal" cost me money! Mary Ann

I, too, received this offer when I bought a mattress. In July when I logged on and tried to print the voucher, I got a message stating they filed for bankruptcy. So that pretty much means all of us are out of luck...

We just called Bernies who promised us 500$ in groceries for purchasing matresses. We had signed up with valuebuzz and never recieved anything (we bought the matresses in May 09). Anyway, Bernies said "oh yeah they went out of business" we will send you new paperwork for another company. .. What if I didnt call?..So be warned you should call the company that hired value buzz, they will have to come up with some other alternative. Good luck

I had the same problem with these valuebuzz(aka claimyourgascard). I was offered $500 worth of visa cards when I purchased furniture from Michael's furniture in Van Nuys, California. I did send my gas receipts for 3/4 months and never received a single gift card. After 3/4 months when I went to this valuebuzz website a notice was posted saying they have filed bankrupt. I contacted the furniture company and they offered me a new voucher. When I went to the website of this new one it looked almost same as valuebuzz and not just that they want my 10 bucks upfront to start processing. I just dropped the whole crap right there. Guys stay away! all these are scams which makes a complete circle. The sad part is we don't have anyone(maybe I don't know) to whom we can complain these. The bottom line is don't believe anything which is toooo good to be true, they seldom work.

I bought a pool from Brothers 3 in Bethpage, NY and was told part of the great deal I was getting was $1, 000 back towards groceries and gas. The day after I registered for my gas rebate the rebate company filed for bankruptcy. And I have never heard back from the Grocery rebate company. I've emailed and tried calling. I am so upset I spent time registering online and really took into consideration this rebate when shopping around for the best pool price. What now?

Dear Rebateripoff,

As with the above mentioned problem Melissa is having we just came across your complaint on this board regarding the gas or grocery card that you obtained from us when you purchased your swimming pool. This certificate was most certainly no type of scam on our part. Evidently the company who was supposed to honor the certificate filed for bankruptcy protection. However, the company we purchased these vouchers from is assisting us, and aiding any of our customers who had a problem. We do not know who you are, but if you would Please give our store a call we would be happy to assist you. We want you to be able to collect the payments that you are entitled to. Brothers 3 Pools always take’s care of its customers and tries to make sure they get what they are suppose to receive. We can not help if we do not know you have a problem. We issued hundreds of these vouchers and most of our customers did not have a problem. They came from multiple companies, to the best of our knowledge only one of them filed for bankruptcy. Our supplier is assisting any of our customers who had a problem with this program, but we need you to contact us because we do not know who you are to be able to contact you.
Sincerely,
Brothers 3 Pools

Were any of these a result from buying a Ford? They were the ones who gave me a card for the 'free" gas/groceries. Maybe they should be liable (in some way) for promoting this scam. They sold alot of cars adding this "bonus". This is an fyi for any starving lawyers out there!

I had experienced the same when I purchased a bunch of pool chemicals in Shorewood, IL, guaranteed $300 grocery voucher. In June, I mailed my first voucher and didn't receive anything, July, I went to print my voucher and couldn't access. This is a horrible scam and the companies who gave these away promoting to buy their product should be held responsible as well. What a scam!
