Jon Scales (managing director of Velvet PR) is a complete liar! I signed up with Velvet PR and had an agreement with Jon Scales. He promised i would be paid for each guest I took to MAYA club. He promise i would get a large bottle of vodka per 15 guests. He promised i would get cash on the night. I took 30 guests to MAYA Club for Velvet PR and he didn't pay me! Nor did I get drinks for my guests. Same thing happened for No.5 with Velvet PR. Stay away from Velvet PR. They are liars and cheats. I get no response. Im owed £300.

this is complete rubbish and totally false.
5 years in the business in London we must be doing something right! Unfortunately we can only pay promoters what we get paid by the clubs and as any promoter will understand figures are not always correct it is part and parcel of the industry.
If only i could complain the amount of times i have not been paid i would need to employ someone to write on here 24 hours a day!
Anyway felt the need to respond.
I came to know about velvet-pr recently and was introduced to their 'complimentary' black card feature. On first sight it looked cool but then I realised that I was being sucked into paying £100 per year for being a member! I am staying away from them at all costs.
This company is a joke. It seems like it's just one person running it. Jon is a complete ###. He lied to me and my friends saying we could get into Aura club for free and that we would have free drinks. None of this ever happened. Don't use this company.
I used Velvet PR this past weekend and was underwhelmed by the service from " London’s leading exclusive guestlist providers". The guaranteed "free entry" is what you would get were you get to the club at the time specified without using their services. The "free drinks and £500 table" consisted of one weak free drink. I found the promoter, Jon Scales, to be uncommunicative and unprofessional. I would never use this service again; you would be better advised to contact the clubs directly.
We offered a complimentary black card membership for a year for free. If you wanted to continue to use the service after the year then that would come at the cost of £100. no obligation. It was actually a fantastic offer so why you feel the need to come on here and start lying is beyond me.
I'm new to London and I got scammed by velvet pr. Ridiculous service and very unfriendly manager. Promises of free entry is not their thing - the club would have given it to me anyway. I don't see the point of paying a £100 for nothing, really. Appalling! Velvet PR is running a scam - please stay away.
Velvet PR is a major joke, I complained about the service provided and Jon Scales decided to post a blog with my picture and contact number. I have reported it to the police, it's just shocking how sad and desperate this company is, I would warm everyone to keep away,

This company is to be avoided at all cost, Jon Scales will promise you free entry and other things all complete lies, he is not professional ad the company is basically a complete scam to get you to clubs which over charge and no one really wants to go to.

Thanks for this info, I was just considering signing up for this, its my birthday next week, so this info saved me a hell of a lot of stressed, I received an email from Charlotte (not really sure how she got my details) companies like this should not be allowed to exist!
I went to a velvet PR night and had a terrible time. The promotor was drunk and all over the place. I was promised xyz and did not receive any thing for my time and money. Humiliated me and my guests. Will never use these jokers again.
The descriptions of the clubs and nights are all a lye as well. They advertise exclusive clubs and best nights. When I get there the place is loaded with chavs and the music is a standard spotify list - no real djing.
Do not be fooled by this joke company and the joker promoter! Ruined my bday plans and sent my entire group to a rubbish club because his so called guestlist is non existent at Press Club! . No table. No drinks. No entry. Just complete lies and to top it off. Jon insulted me to my face and disappeared leaving me and my group in a club we never planned to go to! Worst night out ever! AVOID!

Me and a group of friends had the unfortunate experience of dealing with him. We were refused entry at the club because Jon failed to provide the tickets we had purchased. We tried ringing him on the number he provided but got NO ANSWER! The whole night was a nightmare! And to this date he has not refunded us or replied to the numerous emails we have sent him.
He is now running new companies:
Hydrano and VK Models please be aware of them!
Velvet PR is now under new management and has no affiliation with previous staff nor management. As of January 1st 2016 Velvet PR is fully owned by Nightclub Wohn Gruppe Europa OHG.
