Ordered vitamins online. At the end, when the invoice page came up, a pop-up window appeared, offering $10 "coupon" towards next order. There was a button to click, & then a space to enter email address. After I submitted my email address, I found I had just ordered a subscription to a discount shopping club, which will debit my account for it's monthly fee of $15, using the account information I submitted when ordering vitamins from VitaCost.com. Now I have to call & cancel the subscription with DealMax or SavingsAce, or whatever it is. I called customer service at VitaCost, to attempt to stop my order & my account information from being sent to these partner merchandisers, and was told it was too late. I went through something like this once before, & it was a scam. It took me 3 years to get my money back after a class action lawsuit. I am enraged. Needless to say--no more ordering from VitaCost!
The complaint has been investigated and resolved to the customer’s satisfaction.
For the SECOND time, I made an order that NEVER got sent until I called to inquire about it. Of course, no apologies, just, "we will send it out". One time I was on hold TEN MINUTES to only be disconnected. Although my order number has my telephone number, they don't call yo back so you have to wait on hold another ten minutes to get through. The customer service people have a "customer is always wrong" attitude.
I was happy to use vitacost until I placed the last order from them. One of the products I order was not available at that time, but my account said it will be available in few days. I checked back few days later and it said it would not be available few weeks. Few weeks past, it was not still available. I waited more than a month and finally decided to write them several time, no luck. Finally I called them. I waited about 10 mins to speak to a customer service person and I asked her to cancel my order. She said she did and it would appear on your account later. I checked back my account in few days. My order was still there. I called customer service again and asked to substitute with other products. Their price is great, but not the customer service. I am done with vitacost. I moved to iherb. They are way better. Also they offer free shipping on order $40 or more and first customer saves $5 with the coupon code YUk833
placed an order for tocoq10 on sept 08, 2017, for which i received a receipt. i can contact them, they send me around in circles.
Yes this is the worst customer service there is. Rude people that do not care what the right thing to dsom is. They have your money so to hell with you now is their attitude.
totally agree. do NOT use vitacost unless you think you'll never have to deal with customer support
Vitacost withholds shipping cost for financial gain at the cost to the customer. They acknowledge shipping costs from US but fail to inform of Import Vat. A cost they personally avoid by shipping products to a bonded warehouse in Germany, knowing when these products are moved on the cost will be passed on to customer. When customer service is contacted they deny any responsibility, knowledge, control or reimbursement. Evidently they want the customer to belief that Vitacost has no business plan or cost analysis.
Further, if products are returned Vitcost will withhold the additional shipping costs plus 20% of product cost.
Personally, on my purchase of $68.50 I was charged $17.83 shipping. The additional hidden cost of $31.95 (£20.32) was withheld by Vitacost. On my purchase price of $68.50 I was not informed of having to pay an additional $49.78; something I would never had done if known in advance.
Vitcost fails miserably on customer care and costs.
Kizzy,
This is blatantly false; you knew that these products were to be shipped from a bonded warehouse in Germany; that the import vat charges are accessed on anything £15 or more would be passed on to me. All this information you were privy to but failed in your responsibilities to inform me, the customer.
You have also not sent the contact information as requested to take this complaint to a third regulatory independent party for a decision.
You leave me no choice but to go online complaint site to get that information from the Internet community.
Sincerely,
J. Malley

Vitacost ripped me off too, but I have started a complaint process with the BBB (search for the web complaint site) Hopefully everyone with problems will complain and let people know of the shoddy standards Vitacost support adheres to.
I am so sorry for the inconveniences experienced, Anthony. I have spoken with management and we do agree that you were refunded incorrectly in regards to your two missing products. Please allow up to 72 hours for the excess funds to be replinished in your financial institution. If you have any questions or concerns further please don't hesitate to let us know. Thanks for choosing Vitacost.com and have a great week!
