Volvado Watches is really a scam. Said I could get a free watch for just the shipping. Figured it was just a cheap watch. Watch came and I put up on a shelf. This morning my bank account was charged $95.00. They told me I had joined a membership and would be getting a watch every 30 days.

I was curious to see if Volvado watches were even real seeing how Google could not find them it took me a hot minute to locate them. They are real, and I believe, make that KNOW that this is a scam. The poor woman's comment I read about how she had joined a membership Not knowing she had done so) and instead of charging her 5.99 for S&H they said she had joined their membership "send me a watch monthly club"! Really? This should be illegal, cause there was nothing to suggest this (hence the SCAM!) is a club that you are Joining and to spend 95.00-100.00 instead of 6$ is absolutely absurd. I will write to The Better Business Bureau about this! Thank God I did not trust this and looked further in to it! I feel horrible for anyone that got scammed, I will avenge this! Mark my words!

I also got a watch for only $7.99. I was happy to get it, looked like a good watch, I put it in the bedroom and figured I would give it to my grandson. Soon I got another one, a ladies watch, so I gave that one to my lady friend, also looked good and seems to run good too. I did not know why I got that one until today, I got a third one. This time I went to the site and found that I could get more for only $7.99, so I ordered another mens watch for my other grandson. Then I read this on here and started to check into it and found that I now had two accounts and would get two a month. I canceled and then looked into my bank account and found the charges. Yes, It is a scam. I think something should be done about it, but don't know how to do it. This should be explained on the front page instead of inside someplace where a lot of people would never look. (me). I guess buyer beware!

I looked into this this morning. Thought was to good to be true and it was. Thought I'd give my 2 cents. You have to read the small print under Terms and Conditions, which you also have to check in the box that you agree to their terms. After 14 days, you will be billed for the watch at $95.00. You have to cancel before the 14 days so you won't be billed for future shipment's.

I was scammed too! Don’t you just love learning your lesson? I know I do (Sarcasm). Yesterday I learned an expensive lesson. Around Christmas I went to wallgreens.com. While I was on the sight I was asked to fill out a survey. It being Christmas and all I thought I would actually take time and help them out by doing it. When I was finished they said I could choose one gift from a list of free stuff. I picked a men's watch because I thought my husband would like it. They said it was a $95.00 watch, but I would get it for paying just shipping and handling. I was very impressed with the deal. I mean a $95.00 watch for only 5 bucks? Also I thought hey this is a Walgreens sight. I trust Walgreens! However the survey was not affiliated with Walgreen like I though. I filled out my credit card info and clicked I agree to terms of serves. My mistake was I did not read the Terms of Serves. You have to read the small print under Terms and Conditions. I didn’t read it like I should have. Instead I checked the box that you agree to their terms (Lesson learned). A month later I checked my bank and noticed I had a $95.00 charge from Volvado Omex Watch Collection. I was confused so I called the number listed on the charge. They don’t have their own call serves so they hired a company to take the calls for them. This means I could not contact them directly. I could only ask questions to people who were hired by the company. I asked about the charge and they said I had agreed to it so there was nothing I could do. They kindley cancled my subscription. I was confused by this so I looked it up online. Many people have been in the same boat as me. Turns out I signed up their membership "send me a watch monthly club"! After 14 days, you will be billed for the watch at $95.00. You have to cancel before the 14 days so you won't be billed for future shipments. I called them back and asked I asked if I could get my money back. They said 14 days had passed and I was not allowed any compensation. All they could do was give me the e-mail address to customer support for the company. So yea.. I learned an expensive lesson. Always read the fine print! I know it is just money, but it still stung. However mistakes are only made if you do not learn from them. Thankfully I learned from mine. I am posting this so maybe someone reading this might avoid the same mistake.

i found myself of this volvado (Omax co) after during a survey for another website and this came up as a "free" offer except one has to pay them 5 dollars.
Ilater learn that i am purchasing something that i do not know or evaluate and the bottons will not give a answer to the questions that interests me. i even suched for an X to cancel what ever was beings sold etc.
i have been debted for 95 dollars because i did not cancel future orders of other watches.
i am not sure what my next step will. i do know that i cannot afford to contribute to this scam.

i am curious about that 14-day period. apparently this bunch starts counting on the day you are emailing. and the 95 dollars covers a membership and the first watch, which i did not choose, however, the 14-day period has something to be an option time.

I was also taken for the 5.99 free watch, only to learn later 95.00 would be taken out of my checking account. I agree with all the others, read the fine print, and if it sounds to good to be true, it is. I learned a valuable lesson, and hope and pray that I am not duped again.

This company needs to be put in Jail what a fraud. I was surfing web and had a pop up claim that I had won a watch valued at $119 and for the shipping and handling of just $5.95 would receive this watch for free, Well since I didn't need a watch for myself thought might as well get one for my daughter, Well turns out that I seen this charge on my account from wv.watches volv and called their [protected] number and spoke to a rep. that claimed I was one day past the trial period of 14 days after the charge was placed. Note I only had watch for max 4 days. and I guess they would have sent me a watch every month if I hadn't of stopped this fraud.and kept hitting me for more cash, Is this really legal in the United States, really. I guess if I was heartless and wanted to rip someone off legally this is the ticket. Yeah I am pissed that this sort of low down dirty ### can scam us this way. I must find there address and pay them a visit someday to show them my support for this crap. If you read about a company of such that burnt down thank me because I would have the match...

They tried to scam me to and think they succeeded, thinking their terms and conditions helps them. It does not. In my case, I was directed from a Comcast.com web site for an official Comcast survey gving a over $50 gift for participating for 5.95 shipping. It says a Free over $50 gift. this is what I wrote to their billing department:

Hello,
I was at Comcast's Xfinity web site on 10/11 and was directed to a page asking if I would take a Comcast official survey with a free reward ($0 cost) worth over $50 if I participate. Don't believe me, see attachment 1.

I answered the questions and was sent to a webpage like attachment 2, also with Comcast at the top, where it said I could get a watch for $5.95 shipping and a cost of $0 for the watch, all I had to do was chose my over $50 reward. Don't believe me, see attachment 2.

I was taken to your web site and there is no indication anywhere of it not being a free watch unless you read the fine print on the very last page, the terms and conditions. These terms and condition are in direct conflict with the original terms of the survey offer. The original teaser survey offer page asking if I wanted to participate in the survey said it would have a $0 cost and I would receive an over $50 gift. That is a contract between me and your company that overrules your terms and conditions I take the survey and you send me for 5.95 shipping a gift worth over $50. I want my over $50 gift from you.

This is deceptive advertising (scam) and if you do not credit my account the $95.00 for the cost of a $0 watch, I will report this to Comcast, and the Attorneys General of my state and the one you are in, as well as my bank for a fradulent charge. This is a scam and if it was above board, you would clearly state the $95 charge in the Comcast teaser up front and in your large advertisment and not stuffed at the bottom of the last page where it can easily be missed. This was done to purposely scam people who would not buy your product if known it was going to cost over $100 for a free gift. According to the original teaser page, I was suppose to get a gift for over $50.

The way I interpret the law, I am to get a free over $50 watch and I will keep the watch. If you don't refund my $95, I will get it back by claiming fraud, and write the attorneys general and Comcast. I demand my $50 free gift.

You might get away with this with some, but you are screwing around with the wrong person now. Do you want to screw with me for $95 that I will still get back through fraud?

Also, please take me off any schedule to receive any more products from your company.

If you were scammed with a similar offer to take a survey and get a gift worth over $xx, and the results of taking the survey are a different reward, the conflicting terms and conditions become invalid. It is a bait and switch hoping you miss the conflicting terms. You were offered one reward, and they switch to another non-reward once the survey was taken. So they are required to give me a free over $50 watch for 5.95 shipping, as the original offer states. How does their terms and conditions give me a over $50 reward if I end up having to pay for it 14 days later? In any court, the T&C are invalid because the conflict with the original offer.

Any of you scammed by this watch company, look closely on how they scammed you and you may see the illegal act forcing them to refund your money. Or, you can always claim fraud.

I also will be reporting this scam to my bank today. A sorry scam that I should have not been taken by. But my bank is pretty good so once I take the report of the scam into them they will come after you for the money.

In my case they have conflicting terms and conditions. The teaser page has a COMCAST header saying an official survey and if I participate, I would get an over $50 gift for $0 cost + $5.95 shipping. After answering all questions of the survey, I am directed to another Comcast headed page saying I would get a watch at $0 cost and $5.95 shipping. You click on that, and you go to the Volvado web site and they hide the real terms and conditions until the very end when you are done. With the "free over $50 gift" offer, anyone would assume it is the watch, as the advertisement states. If not the watch, what is my $50 gift? So, I am keeping my free over $50 watch and they can eat it. That is false advertising and they can't enforce the bogus terms and conditions. If I don't get my money back from them, the Bank will give it back to me and go after them. And it is my free watch, just as they advertised. and they won't get it back, so in this case they are screwed. I don't feel embarrassed at all, this was a pure and simple robbery designed to trip up even the most cautious person. Why did they use a Comcast letterhead if this was not from Comcast? To trip you up. They have done illegal acts.

My step-daughter was scammed by them. She filled out the survey and paid the shipping fee. She got the watch and then was charged $95 for it. I called the customer service number that showed up on her account [protected]) and learned she'd actually signed up for a "membership." They cancelled the membership immediately but said I had to email support@volvado.com to get a refund. I emailed explaining that I believed their ad was misleading and asked for a full refund. They responded with an offer for $30 back. I declined that offer and again asked for a full refund. They replied with an offer for $45 back. I again rejected that offer, copied California law about truth in advertising (google this: BUSINESS AND PROFESSIONS CODE SECTION [protected]) into my email, and insisted upon a full refund. They finally agreed to refund the full amount but then asked for the watch to be mailed back. I let them know that she had given the watch away. They then told me to just keep the watch and they would refund the money. So long story short, keep after them. This only took me about 3 days of email exchanges to accomplish. Totally worth it.

I too, fell for their scam ad. I was supposed to get a watch for just $5.99, and that was it. I looked over the agreement just to make sure there were "no extras". I did not see any, so sent out the request. The watch arrived, and it was not bad. I then basically forgot about this matter, until I got my credit card statement (thank God, I used the credit card) I had a charge on there for $95.00 and another charge for $49.00. I called them up and cancelled, and told them I was NOT going to pay those amounts. When I received another watch in the mail, I called my credit card co. and told them that those amounts from volvado were wrong, and I filed a dispute. They immediately agreed with me, as they had previous problems with them. They told me they would handle it from then on, and that they would credit my account for the 2 charges. Today, I received another watch in the mail. I called them again, and told them that I was not going to pay this, and that I stopped the charges on my credit card. They told me that they received a call from the credit card co. and they told them all future charges from them would be denied. Evidently, the phone number provided, is for a 3rd party sales co. But they did have me down as cancelled. They told me that volvado does not have a phone #? which I though was odd. I emailed them, and told them no more watches, and if they wanted the watches back, they would have to send me a postage paid box or envelope in order for me to return them.

Yep I was the sucker born the next minute. I have lost $144 so far. I paid the $5.99 shipping and got a watch that is worth about $5.99. The web site's cancellation link does not function! I do not see myself as a helpless victim, as some do, though. I have started to contact them and have listed for them every action I will take against them until and unless I get all my money back, including court. And I meant it.

Has anyone had this issue with OMAX watches? I got the same scam $5.95 for shipping then a month later $95 was charged to my card. They sent me a mans watch and I didn't even wear it. I wrote to them and said i wanted a womans watch and they said to send it back and they would send me a womans watch but I had to pay for the shipping.
They sent me a new watch and less than 2 months later it stopped working.
Now what.
Any clue who to call?
I sent the other one back to OMAX in North Las Vegas and now I can't locate a phone number or anything for them.

I emailed billing@volvado.com with my complaint as suggested by their Senior Management. Within 2 days I received a reply stating that the subscription (which was fraudulent ) was cancelled and that my $95 would be refunded within 2-5 days. Reference numbers were also given for the cancellation and refund.

This is totally a scam. It is not only a trap, it also is illegal. why this bad company using the dirty scam to cheap a lot of people money? It is just illegal to advertise in the amazon website to fill in a survey with free gift, and then charge $95 if you did not return the gift within 14 days.

I had same experience. I find it sad that a company operates with such deception. I trusted the company I was preparing to send an online order. The survey pops up offering a free gift with picture of a watch and cosmetic items as examples of gifts. The time frame was limited and by the time I had the watch band fitted it was about 18 days. I confirmed that I had only been charged $5.99. The when preparing to pay the billing statement I reviewed and found the $95 charge. I was not happy. A phone call exposed my utter stupidity and there most clever deceptive business plan. In our great freedom a company is free to use whatever way they choose to take your money.
