I paid wadetrade.com the sum of £348 on 08/09/16, but I have been scammed or ripped-off by them as they refuse to provide me an advisory service on how to set up in business - and I only paid them the sum of £348 to receive advice from them on how to set up an import/export agency but they are refusing to honour their advisory service contract with me. I am clearly the victim of a scam attempt by wadetrade.com
I paid wadetrade.com the sum of £348 on 08/09/16, but I have been scammed or ripped-off by them as they refuse to provide me an advisory service on how to become self-employed or how to set up in business - and I only paid them the sum of £348 to receive advice from them on how to set up an import/export agency but they are refusing to honour their advisory service contract with me. This opportunity appears to be recommended, but only by Wade or people/organisations associated with Wade who probably receive money from him to make such recommendations. Wade's book doesn't contain anything which cannot be easily found elsewhere, a good deal has not been updated to take account of the boom in Internet-based trade and they still refer to European country currencies rather than the Euro. Finally, the Wade forum is a waste of time and, worse, contains a number of scam attempts. I paid him £348 because he said he would provide me with personal mentoring for at least 1 year after I set up my business, but he is refusing to honour this. He is also refusing to issue me a Certificate or a Diploma in International Trade which was supposed to be included in the price of the course. Every time I ring his tel. no., he is just abusive and rude to me and then he terminates the call. The sum of £348 is a lot of money to lose for one book, and I am currently un-employed with no job and no income. I don't know what I can do about this bad situation. I am clearly the victim of a scam attempt by wadetrade.com I can send you evidence by email from 3 other customers of Wade who claim that they have also been scammed by him. They have posted reviews on the internet about him. He also claims to have a money-back guarantee, but he doesn't honour this when you contact him to make a claim under his guarantee. The business is run by someone called Ian Travis and another person called Justin Power.
The complaint has been investigated and resolved to the customer's satisfaction.
I’ve been trying to phone them for a few months and all ways get a message but can’t leave any message. They give two email addresses but I haven’t received a reply or call back even though I’ve given my email address and phone number. Are they still in business?
I tried on several occassions this year to get in contact for some advice - but to no avail. I am not sure if they are serious any more about supporting potential import/ export agents. All there is is an answerphone message. To be fair, up until 2015/16 they were accessible and periodically gave me some useful advice over a 10 -12 year period on various matters. However, since their ' Global Opportunities' magazine is no longer published, I don't hold out any hope you will get anything positive from them - I don't think any regular staff work there now.
Then the website should be shut down - they should not take orders - the course mentions Brexit so it looks like it has been updated recently
Thank you for these information. I was attracted by their advert on their website but each time I send a mail to them there has been no single reply. Just this week. I cancelled the payment I made for the course because there was no sign that they still function. I also wondered what will happen after payment and nothing comes out of it . To make matter worse, we are not in the same country. As good as their course is .they should redeem their image and update their business.
I took the WadeTrade course way back in the 1990s, and I was/am completely satisfied with the course, its relevance even today, and the service I received. Although life took me in a different direction after setting up my own import/export business, I continue to count myself as blessed with the knowledge I received from the diploma course I successfully took all those years ago.
I take my hat off to you Wade World Trade. Don't be disheartened by negative feedback, one thing I have learned in my three decades of educational administration is that you can't please everyone all of the time, Joseph M. Juran's Pareto Principle is true!

This is definitely a scam - I have bought this course on April 29 and apart from the automated response I haven’t heard back from Wade - I have not received the course and my 4 emails have not been responded to- I have called twice and gone straight to voicemail - I contacted Justin Powers on LinkedIn and reminded him today -
I don’t believe this is a serious business and they should take down the website- I will be complaining to trading standards via Citizen Advice Bureau as well as sharing in my social media forums of this scam - I have put my debit card details and have now reordered my debit card as I am not sure who got my card details - I have ordered another course with a reputed institute now
