Wendy Timmons of Thrive is a con artist. At a recent event she:
-Promised to pay people whom she did not.
-Used a bait and switch and had the paying participants speak in rooms that were not the same as advertised.

She runs events called Thrive that are based on women's empowerment. She is a pathalogical liar. She ahas accused people of hacking her Facebook account when she did it herself. She is a sociopath who blames others for her own fraud. She claims to have been a federal agent and a Versace model, neither of which is true. She claims to have spoken at engagement that she has not with the apparent exception of Airbnb Open.

This is a dangerous woman. Be Warned.

There are several people who have been ripped off by this serial scammer. She is a sociopath. She is NOT a federal agent so do not let her intimidate you.

Your rebuttal makes little sense. Yes, people had a great time there based on the relationships that they made. But also they did not get what they paid for, the planner was defrauded as were speakers who were supposed to be paid, and even the hotel was defrauded. The police showed up to speak to Wendy. Wendy has done nothing to address this at all only to delete people from her social media accounts. Wouldn't an honest person deal with this head on?

Speaking of honesty, her claims to have spoken around the world are false. She spoke at AirBNB and that is all. No evidence of any other talk. Also, her claims to be a special guest at Forbes Women in Power, TedX women and the White House are false. Feel free to contact these organizations to verify. Of the three, the White House is pretty credible and trust me, they keep track of EVERYONE who has entered the building. Her claims to be a federal agent are false and she never carried a weapon as she claimed at the EPA.

The issue is not if people had fun or not. Many of us did. The issue is that she lied about paying speakers. She said she would pay back the event planner and never did and presented images of the speaking areas that were later downgraded to a basement.

Its time to rethink your rebuttal and please take the time to call and check out her claims that she has made on her own site. http://rainmakerconsult.com/

Hello. I am quite surprised at some of the feedback Wendy has received. I paid to attended a Thrive event in San Francisco. Everyone I met seemed to be having a great time. When we had our final session we had an opportunity to have hot seat time. Everyone there received numerous amounts of personalized feedback. There were many revelations, so many happy tears of joy, and honestly some sadness that the event was ending. It was one of the most empowering events I’ve been to in years. It felt like everyone else was having a similar experience. You can imagine how confused I am seeing a change of heart a couple weeks after the event. The feedback is contrary to the Wendy I’ve known my whole life. We met at church when we were little kids. I’ve always known her as giver, thinking of others, and striving to make the world a better place. The only thing I am waiting on from her is her book, which I was the first to buy a copy. As someone who is writing their own book, I understand they take time to get done, if you want them done right (I’ve received ‘books’ from some people for far more money that weren’t well organized or edited). I have stayed in touch with Wendy and she has given me updates on her progress. It is a shame there are some two-faced individuals out there in this world. It is truly a shame they swim in the world of those working to empower themselves. I can’t believe I met some attendees at that event who seemed so nice and sincere only to be turn out to be really vindictive.

I was one of the "35" videos submitted to "win your way to speak in Paris for Thrive 2016." I hesitated because you had to pay $277 to submit your video for consideration. In the 11th hour, I went for it. My money was quickly accepted. When I realized that the top five were not being posted as promised (personal emails between my self and Wendy), she kept re-writing the "rules" she set in stone. It was a few days after Thrive in SF when they would "reopen the contest" for a few more weeks to have an additional 5 contestants - and it never happened, that is when I saw the video of all the lies from the event. The girl who recommended I send my video alerted me to the disaster at SF as she was one of the speakers. Everyone that signed up for the virtual Thrive SF event spent their money but nothing virtual was available. Fortunately, my credit card company quickly reversed the money spent and we canceled the card, knowing she would use it again. I can't believe this woman isn't in jail for all the fraud and corruption! Crazy.

The pictures are my emails from her telling me I was one of the five and when they would announce. After a few more emails from me I realized she was long gone...

There are dozens of legitimate professionals in the field of women’s empowerment/entrepreneur coaching who have publicly denounced Wendy Timmons as a fraud. The fraudulent activity includes hiring event planners for her Thrive events and not paying them for their work or reimbursing for expenses of the events. The planners would perform work such as research, locate, and reserve venues for the events and well as other expenses such as food. Planner used their own company cards for these purposes. Wendy claims to not have seen contracts for the services and did not approve them therefore refuses to pay. That is a lie. Are we expected to believe that she went days and days clueless that the venues for HER event were not approved by her all the while attending them? Did she think they were free, or did she not inquire about the cost? Several thousands of dollars now owed by people she hired. She hosted a chance to win a free trip to Thrive in Paris. The only catch was you had to pay $277.00 to enter. At least 35 of women did, nearly $10, 000. Sounds really legitimate doesn’t it? By the way, the event isn’t happening and nobody who entered has been reimbursed. She didn’t pay any of the speakers (professionals in their field) for speaking at her events. She didn’t pay the media coordinators hired for videoing and marketing etc… She walked out on her bill at the hotel. When police were called in she claimed to be a CIA agent. She claims to have been a speaker at events around the world. Most of those have proven false. She has now changed the name of her professional persona from Thrive to Rain Maker Consultant. http://www.rainmakerconsult.com/ By the way, ignore the testimonials, they were all given prior to the fraud becoming public guaranteed not one of them would recommend her now.
