I booked a stay at the Westgate Palace Resort in Orlando Fl, which I've been paying a mortgage on for several years. This was my first stay and the resort and I was extremely disappointed. The first thing was the state of the property itself. There are areas that were not safe or well maintained, which is what I thought I was paying very expensive maintenance fees for. When I first arrived and got out of the car, I almost fell and broke my neck due to an iron wire protruding from the ground surrounded by rocks. I managed to catch myself before falling as I tripped over this iron wire. All pics not loaded. I mentioned it to the front desk and she said "I'm so sorry about that". No concern that a tenant could have been hurt. There was something sticky smudged on the elevator doors (inside) which had been there a while. The rooms were small and the kitchen area not built for short people or handicap. No, step stool. Underneath the mattress were bugs or something, not sure what, but it was filthy. Also took pictures. Not a pleasant experience for a property where I pay a mortgage and maintenance fees for upkeep. Simply unacceptable.
Desired outcome: Not very happy with the resort and a desired outcome would be some type of compensation and better upkeep of the property on cleanliness and maintenance. I really DO NOT want to stay there again. My family and I were disappointed.
