My wife and I booked accommodation at CitizenM London Bankside hotel for 3 nights (14 June 2024 - 17 June 2024. We had chosen a "King Room".
When we arrived in the room, the room was so small that we could not place our 2 suitcases on the floor to unpack. The room was narrow with a King bed at the end of the room that could only be accessed from one side. It meant that the person who was in the bed first, would have to clamber over the second person in order to go to the bathroom. Since I am 77 years old, this was not acceptable.
We returned to the front desk and asked why we had not been given a King room as was booked. The manager said all rooms were the same size and that their webpage stated "King Bed" not "King Room". This was not the case, the website clearly said "KIng Room". We told the manager that we could not stay there as the room was too cramped. The manager appeared to be somewhat sympathetic and said he would talk with his management. We left the hotel and walked until we found another hotel which we booked into.
I have written to the hotel but have received no response.
