I'm a single mom, who's a hardworking citizen. Have been paying off my creditors for the past 5 years, although my name is still not good, was getting there, having managed to pay off and close a few accounts. Then in Jan 2022, received a call from a company mensioned above that they are a company under NCR, who are calling customers to give them the so called 'governments covid relief'. After the difficult times we've experienced as country these two years, this was music to my ears. They said I should give them my ID, so they can do a quote for me, claiming that I could qualify to get a discount to only pay half of what I've been paying to my creditors. After agreeing they called me back and gave me the so called GOOD NEWS. I then specifically asked is this not Debt review, as I don't want it (talking from experience), and the manager Naydene declined. We sealed the deal (under false pretense), only to find this when I had to accept under debi check, their reference was written debt review. I then declined and suspended the mandate. In Feb, as finances are difficult to us laboureres, went to capitec and was declined loan, reason being I had applied for Debt restructuring. I was shocked, even tried contacting company, and they were now not answering their calls. After research was told that they do this, once you've given them your ID they log you done, and your name listed on NCR. Am now stuck in life, cant progress further, as now have to pay lawyers fees, for a recession, on something that was placed on fraudently
Desired outcome: For this company to remove my name with them, and send required form to NCR,as am stuck cause of them
I bought a car 2012,and 8 years down the line 2020,discovered that reason why my balance is not decreasing is that I was charged 20 plus on the intrest rate. Due to financial difficulties and failing to find private sale for car(as dealers and people were saying car was too old, offering me R20000 for a Ford focus 2012 model, which was still in a fair condition). Decided to return car to Absa in September 2021,and was told they would auction car, and pay settlement balance with what they get. Car left my premises in September, and up untill now, no phones, emails, updates from Absa. Only when was looking to buy new car this year, deal was declined as Absa has handed me over to attorneys. I am both appalled and dissappointed in this company, after paying for car for over 10 years, R3000 plus in installments monthly, am still owing them a balance which is still questionable, worse of all no-one from the company has taken time to call me and explain to me on happenings after car left my premises.
