The 1 star review I have given, in my opinion, is way too generous. I'm not an expert on YES communities as a whole but I have extensive knowledge about the Golden Rule MHP located at 2001 S. MacArthur Blvd in Oklahoma City, Ok. I have been a resident of afore mentioned community since April of 2024, making my resident history a mere 9 months and in that time, I've collected an entire binder of communications I've had with management over various topics. By, the way, I am not a renter, but a homeowner living on the property. My home and yard are maintained according to park rules. My rent is paid promptly on the 1st of every month if not before. I have not complained to them about anything but I have made known about the undisclosed issues with my home at the time of purchase. To which, I wasn't even acknowledged until after 9 months when I required assistance on a plumbing issue that management knows was done prior to my purchase of the home. Literally from day 1 I have been fighting the sewer in this home. Backups, flooding, feces accumulated under the home and an infestation of sewer flies that was beyond anything I've ever seen before. The 1st week of residency my fiancé got under the house and dug out many large t shirts, among other disgusting things, out from the sewer lines. That didn't fix the problem. Someone had mentioned that the sewer was my responsibility and maintenance wouldn't help, so I continued trying to fix the issue myself with drain cleaners but nothing was working. I finally asked for help and was brushed off and nobody ever got back with me. I asked again and the same thing happened. I then wrote an email to management pleading for help and mentioned that it was ridiculous that something of that nature, a health hazard for everyone around, would take so long to be addressed, A plumber was called and it was discovered that there were more t shirts in the line. I was then told by management that I was responsible for the plumber bill. I disagreed as it's completely asinine to suggest that I pay for something I didn't do. The response was along the lines of they were found in the line, they come from your house, period. I spoke to the plumber myself and he told me what was in his report. The fact that t shirts were found. I told management that implying that I did it, as a HOMEOWNER is about as stupid as it gets. I refused to pay it. On Feb 1, 2025 I logged on to the Portal to pay my lot rent and discovered that the bill had been added to the cost. I paid my rent but not the bill. What will come of that remains to be seen as this place has harassed me about everything imaginable since I first made mention of the sewer issues. I've had to contact the corporate manager, Mr. Victor Acuna on a matter or 2 and at first, even he was very cold and short with his words but I spoke to him as a person and he eventually came around and he seems to be a nice guy. I know he has a job to do and he is doing it to the best of his abilities and I know rules are rules, however, people should be treated fairly, especially regarding their home. This place is not my job, I'm not interested in trying to impress a boss or trying to get a raise. This is my home, where I have to live. It is what I invested my money into after being lied to about the condition of the home. It has created a hostile home environment for me and I did ask Victor about a sellback and he told me what the rules were and advised he wouldn't give me anything for it anyway. He then corrected himself and said pennies on the dollar of what I paid for it. Before they'd even consider buying it back they'd conduct an inspection and I'd be liable for making all repairs listed. I don't think that's fair since it wasn't done when I bought it and anything in disrepair may've been like that since way before I took ownership. There were plenty of undisclosed issues but I never brought them up, I was just happy to have a home. I've been homeless twice in my life. through no fault of my own, and that being said, Homelessness is my number one fear. This park is surrounded by homeless camps and I just have to wonder how many of them use to live in this very park.
Desired outcome: YES to pay the plumber, stop harassment. Buy house back at least within $5k of what I pd 9 months ago and no inspection. One wasn't done when I moved in & I don't want to be blamed for damage I didn't cause
