June 30, I purchased a puppy. That evening the dog showed signs of illness with diarrhea. But he seemed good otherwise on July 1. On July 2, the dog was very sick and I took him to the hospital where he was diagnosed with parvovirus. The vet confirmed the dog got the virus from the breeders home before delivery to me. The vet and I called the breeder and they agreed to pay the bill of about $4300. Their credit card was declined. They deposited $500 to the hospital not the $3000 the hospital required. They are now refusing to pay anything additional. I think they have no money and are giving excuses.

Vaccine card is not completed properly so I have to go on their word that it’s been done. Maybe it hasn’t? Then they told the vet they accidentally gave him an extra dose. No documentation of that either.

Desired outcome: Vet fees approx $4300 less the $500 they have already paid. if the dog does not make it $1000 for the cost of the dog. If he survives, costs of home medicine. Fees for vaccines as needed.
