I have a 95 Del Sol that i was taking care of very well, i met one of the guys who works there and he told me to bring my car to add a suspension that i bought recently. They promised me a payment plan and then they told me that I have to pay all the balance off before I get my car back. This is unfair and it really doesn’t match our agreement. Avanced Auto, Chiefland Fl. I bought a transmission and it was defective, they replaced it for me as soon as possible. Not only that, Advanced auto paid the labor bill to have it reinstalled. I still buy all my parts there. All the employees are very helpful and respectful to the customers. When I first moved to Chiefland in 2004, I thought the store was actually closesd, business was so slow. But during the past five years, the store has picked up business and at times the parking lot is full of customers! Very busy now! Jim and Ralph have years of experience in thier job and do it well. As for people complaining about defective parts, well any store has a defective part sometime. Its just easier for a customer to return an item at Walmart, after you have had it for a year and with no receipt! I am not an employee at Advanced auto, but a satisfied customer!

I had enough of being defrauded by car mechanics. I drive a very reliable car and do all the repairs myself.
Years ago a mechanic (while doing an oil change) told me, that my breaks are about to explode... do not even drive home. I drove home... this happen probably 5 years ago and I change the break pads (myself) since. Still the same breaks... works perfectly.
Car did not start (Honda Civic) classic fault it is the ignition coil...
The mechanic told me it's $850 to repair. I declined and he charged me $39 for the estimate... he did NOT tell me what was wrong except that he had to change the entire "ignition" assembly.
No sparks so I guessed the ignition coil...$79 at Pep Boys. Changed it myself 10 minutes of work.
Show me an honest mechanic and he got a customer for life... never found one in 54 years.
I am sure there are honest people somewhere, but how to tell?
The problem is our legal system. While we cannot litigate every complain (not even 1%), we can "hang" a few dishonest car mechanics once in a while and the fraud will disappear.

Why did Ahmed not pay DON STROUSE for the damages AAA caused when DON STROUSE was encountered? Now you claim you cannot pay him because he is a ghost, although you have been to his house less than ¼ mile away from one of your locations. Why would DON STROUSE show up for court only to hide behind a tree? Perhaps Don was smoking outside next to a tree, but in the warped Abuzaid mind, it became that he was “hiding” behind a tree.

You could have paid DON STROUSE by walking behind that same tree and said, "DON STROUSE, I am sorry for being dishonest with you. Will you please accept my apology? Tell me the dollar amount it will take to satisfy you along with returning your car. Please forgive me and my brothers for acting so terribly towards you and putting you through so much grief. It was very wrong of us to steal your car and lie to you about the engine."

HOUSTON - Three men have been arrested in the New Year's Eve shooting of a 57-year-old man who later died at a hospital.

Mark Antonio Deleon, 32, Edgar Ivan Padron, 31, and Jose Adolpho Castillo, 30, have been charged with capital murder in the death of Saturnino Argueta.

The three suspects are accused of shooting and robbing Argueta on Dec. 31, 2010, inside a convenience store on Beechnut Street near Hillcroft Avenue in southwest Houston, according to a statement released Friday by the Houston Police Department. Argueta was taken to Ben Taub General Hospital where he was pronounced dead.

Surveillance video from the store captured the suspects leaving from the parking lot in a white two-toned Ford F-250 pickup truck with a front brush guard. The driver of the truck remained in the vehicle while the robbery took place, according to the statement.

Information submitted to Crime Stoppers of Houston led to the March 31 arrests of Padron and the April 1 arrest of Castillo. Deleon surrendered peacefully to police Thursday after officers with the HPD Special Weapons and Tactics unit surrounded him at a building on Beechnut Street near Cinnamon Lane. Deleon's arrest was also based on information submitted to Crime Stoppers.

HPD investigators are still searching for a fourth suspect in the death of Argueta.

No one else was hurt in the robbery.

HOUSTON (KTRK) -- Capital murder charges have been filed against three suspects accused of fatally shooting a convenience store customer during a robbery in December.

Police arrested 31-year-old Edgar Ivan Padron on March 31 and Jose Adolpho Castillo, 30, the next day, according to a Houston Police Department statement. Mark Antonio Deleon, 32, was arrested after a SWAT standoff on Thursday. HPD investigators are currently following leads involving a possible fourth suspect.

The three men are accused of killing Saturnino Argueta on the evening of New Year's Eve during a convenience store heist in the 5600 block of Beechnut. Argueta, 57, was transported to Ben Taub General Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

Surveillance video showed the suspects arriving in a white two-toned Ford F-250 pickup truck with a front brush guard. The driver of the vehicle remained inside the truck while the three other suspects entered the convenience store.
