We too felt the price was fair, but unfortunately we did have to cancel before our trip even started, due to unforeseen health issues.,We booked our insurance about 4 months out, had to cancel in less than a month but did not receive our money back. You could only get your money back within 15 days of the booking. So I had multiple conversations, and finally they agreed to credit us our money to use on another trip within 2 years (which was better than nothing). But as they advertise, do your homework, and seek the advice of the team. We never dreamed this would happen that we'd have to cancel! :(

I appreciated that an AARDY agent was available to communicate with. On several occasions, I needed to discuss my issues about the trip and when to purchase insurance. It pleases me to clearly view many insurance options described so I can select the one that best meets my needs and compare costs. It's the insurance company, per se, that is really the difficult one to negotiate with once you have insurance. This is not a reflection on my AARDY experience, just the insurance companies in general. I'd like the option of rating the insurance company experience (e.g. rate your experience with AARDY or other insurance companies) so that AARDY can provide one more element of service to customers, those agencies that do care more for those who purchase the insurance than making huge profits off of us.
As a first-time user, the site was wonderful and clearly answered questions. After doing the reading, I called and spoke directly with an agent who was very helpful in helping to choose the right plan.Excellent experience on the purchasing side. I have not had to file a "claim", so I cannot comment on that experience. However, based on the upfront service, I am pleased with the professionalism and depth of knowledge in educating me for our decision.
Comparing rates and booking the travel insurance was very easy. We appreciate the service. We did not call anyone. We relied on the website information.We haven't yet travelled to find out how easy or good the insurance use might be.

I had used Alliance in the past. I had a Scandinavia tour in 2020 which was cancelled; I lost $2000. Aardy popped up on my search for 'Travel Insurance'. I presume you pay Google for that position. Anyway, it was easy to purchase, and add to my iPhone, should I need it. The price of my purchase seems my reasonable. Not much more to add.

I have been planning a cruise for months. Given the unpredictability of the Covid-19 pandemic, I decided it would be prudent to purchase travel insurance. After reading many reviews, I decided to go with Aardy. It has turned out to be a great decision. Everyone that I have spoken to at Aardy has been very knowledgeable about what each plan contained and explained the different coverages to me. It made it easy to pick what best suited my needs. They were so helpful and patient as I kept adding new expenses to my trip and they would adjust the total of the policy accordingly. They were just so amazing to work with. I very highly recommend Aardy to anyone planning a trip and who is looking for peace of mind, knowing that "they've got you covered". Thank you so much Aardy.

AARDY's website allows users to make informed decisions for travel insurance, inclusive of downloading text of insurance policies. The cost and all other key information is disclosed up front. The price is far less than buying travel insurance through tour companies airlines or cruise lines. After sale service is impressive, including an email reminder of their 24/7 availability and the phone number to dial in the event that needs arise. I spoke with their representative before selecting an insurance company and policy, and was impressed by the knowledge and professionalism exhibited. Their associate acted as an insurance agent rather than a salesperson, which inspired confidence. AARDY is a full disclosure company, and I will unhesitatingly use them whenever I need travel insurance.

The process of purchasing travel insurance is easy and so there are many five star reviews. This was the first time I have had to file a travel insurance claim...not so easy! We had planned a trip to Hawaii more than a year ago. My wife and I are in our late seventies and in good health, we thought. As the time for the trip approached my wife started to experience shortness of breath. Long story short, she needed open heart surgery. We filed a claim with XYZ Insurance Company which we purchased through AARDY. The claim was filed at the beginning of July. I have submitted every document that they have asked for long ago, yet this claim still has not been settled. While I cannot blame AARDY for the poor service of the insurance company, they did sell me the policy and bear some responsibility for selling their product.

Happy... Take the time and review and compare vacation insurance options. AARDY provided an easy place to review most of the current insurance options with vendors they listed. Prices were a little higher than others, but the coverage was WAY higher than all others. Their customer service was quick when I had a question about a policy. They work with reputable insurance companies! After purchase, I was provided with a copy of all the details and information on how to contact the insurance company if needed. Even insurance cards to take on our trip. Also, you are provided many options on the level of plans for you to pick from. All plans offered better coverage than ANY plan my cruise line and travel agent offered. In the end, less than $20.00 bucks for all the extra coverage that the others didn't even offer. Will be back for our next trip.

I was told it was because the computers were down, but did not receive any written communication to that effect. In fact, I had to call them; AARDY nor the insurance company contacted me to advise of the delay.
Since I have never used this company and have paid for the policy, I am concerned as this transaction was conducted on line and I have no previous knowledge or relationship with them. On line transactions are scary given the number of scams which occur on a daily basis.
AARDY did send me the confirmation yesterday and their staff have always been professional and helpful. However, I am still very concerned that I have received no formal communication regarding the delay and when I can expect the policy.

He was extremely knowledgeable and not only was able to set up my policy that day but saved me money in the process. Working with John I would give AARDY 5 stars. I would request him if I have the opportunity to work with your company again. Even though he sent an email to the original person who was supposed to get back to me to cancel my original request, I have continued to receive numerous emails about various companies and pricing options for this trip. When I notified the company of the repetition on emails I was given an apology and said they would take care of it. Since that time I have received several more of the emails - so with that part of working with AARDY I would give 3 stars. Therefore my rating of 4 stars. Thank you.

I purchased insurance for a cruise that my wife and I are taking. Fortunately, I had done a little research before going to my travel agent. When the agent offered insurance, I told her that I wanted a minimum of $100,000 in medical coverage and that I would be shopping for it. That ended the discussion about insurance. When I went to Trip Insure 101, it was very easy to enter my trip information and get numerous quotes. I picked out my 3 top choices and used their compare feature to make my final selection. I purchased a policy that gave me more than double the coverage for around $150 less in premium than the travel agent offered. Once I entered my credit card information, I received an email almost instantaneously giving me confirmation of my coverage along with all the documents, ID cards, etc. It was extremely easy to get the comfort of knowing that I now have excellent coverage from an A.M. Best A rated company for a very fair price.

I would not take at "blind faith" that the options were fair and reasonable. In the end, they were. So I purchased a travel protection insurance plan. I found it interesting that while the plan I selected was fair and reasonable, selecting travel insurance thru Viking Cruises and the exact same coverage, was about $200 cheaper. Our cruise is with Oceania Cruises and it did not offer the same coverage. However, I feel that the insurance companies should be more transparent when they offer the same coverage for different prices (though I understand there may be special rates for Viking Cruise travelers). I'd like to see the travel insurance companies offer matching of the lowest rates for the package coverage offered. The online representative was professional, very helpful and answered all my questions.
Loved ARDY
Loved ARDY. I was looking for travel insurance & needed a real live person to talk to. I managed to get Matthew at ARDY on the phone and immediately I was able to tell him about our need for travel insurance. The online doesn't explain the details. And because 2 of our party are from Denver, CO they need their own separate policy flying a day earlier out of a different airport. Our other daughter will already be abroad so she needed a policy including the entire time she is away vs. just our family trip to South Africa. Then 3 of us are leaving 2 days early so we are on our own policy. I also wanted to make sure we had good healthcare when abroad and needed someone to help me choose the medical care and airlifting out medical allowance. There is a lot to think about and speaking to a person who knows what they are doing and compare different companies and different polices was worth its' weight in Gold. I was impressed. So many of the others were quote via internet only. ARDY is the bomb and I found it via reading an article by AAA. Thank you ARDY.

The sales people were very friendly and helped me choose a reasonably priced policy for an upcoming trip. Unfortunately, we were unable to take that trip due to covid. I made a claim to the insurance company online, and have heard very little since April, when we were supposed to have traveled. After 2 months, I received a notice that some additional information was needed, which I had previously provided, but provided again just because. At some point between April and maybe May, they disabled the chat feature on the website and you cannot reach them by phone, unless prepared to wait for a long time. I've never successfully reached them that way. I'm sure I'm not alone in my frustration. But there is little follow-up to be had. Still wondering about the disposition of my claim; and have been asking about it every Monday for several weeks. I'm so frustrated that I made a claim to my state's insurance board, who are now looking into the delay. No problem with AARDY.com except that they sold a policy that isn't seeming to pay us back despite the agreement to do just that.

I appreciate the basic concept on which AARDY is based--that of assisting people find the best travel insurance policy coverage to fit their circumstances, rather than pushing a single option or coverage from a single carrier. Unfortunately, in our case, while I entered the correct information online regarding the dates and cost of our trip and our respective ages, the initial recommended coverage was based on incorrect information that I had never provided. I have no idea how this happened, but after we purchased and then cancelled coverage based on the erroneous information, the agent I was working with was both patient and apologized for the mistake. After considering our options, we were able to secure what we now consider to be the most useful coverage given our circumstances. In the future, I urge that agents ALWAYS confirm the accuracy of the key information on which particular quotes and recommendations for coverage is based, something that unfortunately did not initially happen in our case. If this review is posted, I respectfully request that my initial review, which was unfortunately written before the initial mistake in coverage was discovered, be withdrawn.

I think AARDY is fantastic. Before I found AARDY I tried two other sites that offered comparisons between insurances. Neither of these sites offered a real live person who could answer questions. I had lots of questions, and found that I could not bring myself to actually buy insurance without knowing the answers to my questions. I first started looking at the AARDY site late Saturday afternoon. At that point I could have had a live chat with someone, but I wanted to collect all my questions together. After dinner I went back to the site - but - it was Saturday evening and there was no one to answer my questions in real time. I tried calling twice and was invited to leave a message. Imagine my surprise when Jerome from AARDY called me back on a Sunday morning ! I just assumed I would have to wait for answers until Monday. I talked to Jerome for quite some time and called him back also. He was very knowledgeable and friendly . I also talked to someone else when Jerome was busy . I think her name was Terry. She was great also. I never got a message asking me to hold. All of my questions were answered and I finally purchased 2 separate policies - one was for someone in another state. With Covid going on, I thought having good medical coverage was a must. AARDY helped me move forward and purchase the policies that will give me peace of mind. THANK YOU AARDY.

After a web search for travel insurance and getting quotes from a highly rated aggregator, I called AARDY. the travel insurance aggregator recommended by AARP. When I first called, I spoke to Terri ("as in the first 5 letters of TERRIfic", which she really was). In fact, the difference in our conversation from the other highly rated company was like night and day. I had some very complicated questions about people, what gets covered, etc and we worked through all the points. She had one answer I needed to confirm from my airline and suggested I then call back. She apologized for changing her mind several times as she worked through the information and I explained I appreciated that she took the time to really understand the situation and wasn't getting frustrated or rushing to help me with incorrect answers.
When I called back, I spoke to Jerome. (Actually, he had already called this morning returning the call I had left for Terri last night.) I was disappointed Terri wasn't available since she knew the situation so well, but Jerome was equally thorough, pleasant, patient, also correcting himself and apologizing and VERY willing to try the quotes several ways. It was a true pleasure working with him and I have nothing but positive things to say about the experience (as long as if we end up needing the insurance, it goes as planned- which I have little doubt it won't)! GOOD JOB JEROME AND TERRI! I hope management knows what gems they are:)
PS They had better, less expensive quotes for our needs than InsureMyTrip.com. I hope will remember this company for the next time and not bother searching the web!

The customer service after my purchase of a policy did not meet my expectations. A friend referred me to AARDY when I needed the travel health insurance for my family who's been traveling in and out of several countries in Europe and Asia this summer. My initial phone inquiry was handled in a very professional, courteous and efficient way, I did not have any problem in choosing a policy. Unfortunately the quality of customer service after my purchase was the worst I have ever experienced! I received the policy via email immediately after the purchase, but because AARDY agent did not provide me with the instructions on how to exercise the policy in case of a medical emergency, I was left in a vacuum! Two months later my family became ill in Europe and must seek for medical treatments, neither he or I knew how to use the policy for the medical emergency, it's because all I received from AARDY was policy. I suggested that my family go straight to ER while I contact AARDY for assistance. I was shocked when AARDY agent told me my family must present the insurance card I was supposed to receive at the same time I received the policy, then my family must call the international phone number on the back of the insurance card for further instructions on how to exercise his legal right as the policy holder. I informed AARDY agent that I had never received any insurance card, all I received was the policy itself, the agent emailed me an insurance card which I forwarded to my family, I told my family to call for further instructions. I'm puzzled! How can an insurance company force their customer with a medical emergency to make a call in order to get the much-needed treatments? If it's an emergency, medical attention is the top priority, isn't it? Why isn't the insurance card sufficient for emergency medical treatments? I'm extremely disappointed and frustrated because I picked AARDY to recommend a travel health insurance policy! I strongly recommend everyone not choose AARDY!
