This company claims to have a 'free' trial with a three day cooling off period. When i couldn't contact the company by phone on saturday or sunday as they only operate monday to friday i sent them three emails on their 'contact us' address informing them that i did not want their 12 month subscription attached to the 'free' trial. But after finally getting through to them i have been told my three day cooling off period finished yesterday and as they have no communication from me they couldn't cancel the order. The money has come out of my account before the three day cooling off period finished and now i'm being told that i can't get a refund! I have copies of my emails date and time sent but apparently this isn't COMMUNICATION?
I unknowingly did not read the supposed smallprint? I recieved the acia berry within 3 days thinking i was only paying $5.14 to which i had an emailed invoice for with no mention of the additional charges ?I have checked my bank statement and they have charged me in excess of £141 extra I live in england so have found it difficult to pursue the complaint i strongly oppose to them taking money from my account, for charges not stated. i have not recieved the colon product which they said they had sent out so surely they have broken their terms and conditions? please be warned do not sign up for this product ..this companty must be making vast profits. if anyone has any great advise how to take this further please help
My situation is almost the same as yours. I agreed to give my credit number so the sum of $AU7.95 could be debited against my bank account. This amount, as shown on my "Your Acai Order Confirmation" was to be the only charge for the free trial. On checking my bank statement today (4 days later and I have as yet not received anything) I saw that two amounts had been drawn for $1.00 each (not autorised) and an amount for $101.10 for Better Health.I straight away wrote an email that was on the invoice(namely GetSlimPackage(no-replay@getslimpackage.com but this email has bounced back. I have asked them to credit these amounts IMMEDIATELY to my account. As this is the first time I have ever purchased anything on the internet I am very upset about the whole situation. Mrs Hanna Thomson
Mrs Hanna Thomson's situation is almost identical to mine. I also agreed to give my credit card number for the so-called Free Trial and expected to pay only $A 7.95. I DID receive two boxes within a few days, one box Acai( "Cleanse") each contained two bottles o f60 capsules and the other box contained two bottles each with 60 capsules of the Acai ( "Reduce"). I received an INVOICE for two lots of $7.95 .THERE WAS NO OTHER PRICE STATED ON THIS INVOICE. When my December 2010 credit card statement came, I had been charged by BETTER HEALTH $AU101.56 TWICE. Then my January 2011 credit card statement showed that I had been charged $AU101.40 TWICE by ENERGY SHOP ? I successfuly got through to Better Health in the USA on [protected] and spoke to "Wally" and complained that there was NO DISCLOSURE concerning the actual cost of these products. He said I had not read the terms and conditions - which I confess did not see on the website. I have since looked at the site again and yes, the terms and conditions are there RIGHT AT THE BOTTOM OF THE PAGE in reverse print ( small white type on black background). "Wally" who would not say whereabouts in the USA Better Health was ( I found out it's in Ohio USA) - asked me to hold on while he cancelled any further products. His words were " Ok you will not be charged one more cent" I also pointed out a to him that the Australian phone number on the invoice was incomplete - less one digit - and furthermore, when I emailed my complaint to the email address (support@128 secureorders.com - IT BOUNCED BACK! PLEASE NOTE THAT THE PRICE IN THE TERMS AND CONDITIONS IS STATED AS 'The low price of GBP69" HOWEVER, THE TERMS AND CONDITIONS DO SAY AT THE VERY END "Cancel anytime"- BUT the contact phone numbers are in the UK and Zurich! Meanwhile I have lost over $400 and have NOT received the second package. What does GBP69 mean - anyone? I fear that I may be still charged again. MY TIP... please phone up your bank and ask for CARDS and place a "disputed claim". Mrs H Morgan
I have been recently nicked £141 pounds from my account. My biggest mistake was to beleive what they said on the introductory page, without going through the terms and condition. Eventhough I cancelled the order, I am still charged for these product.
I am wondering if any of you taken a remedial steps to get away with this problem. My only work is that these people will continue to nick my money as Bank can't stop them from doing so.
Please share..
Hi everyone i did the same thing ordered a free trial, was linked to the page by a fake newspage they had set up. makes it look so real. I ordered my free sample, and then decided to get some more info on them, after going through the internet i found all these comments on scam websites and id fell for one of them! I tried to ring the number but said it was unavailable, was quite distressed thinking they were going to take all this money from me, but fortunately i have 24 hour phone banking with ANZ. I called them and asked them to stop any payments they couldnt but cancelled my card so no payments could be taken, lucky my money in the account was low, as i was advised they had already tried to take out $50 and then a further $70 from my account( this was 20 minutes after i had asked for my trial) My advice to everyone is to call your bank immediately and cancel your cards this way they cannot take payments, you will have a new card in 5-7 days it can be a hassle to transfer any direct debits but i would rather ring round for an hour then get robbed by scammers every month!
Just read about what people are saying and yes it happend to me, , i have cancelled my card, but they have taken £99 out allready which im so upset about this, its a scam..and im another who has fell for this,
Cant anyone do something about this..we are all getting ripped of.thre must be some way of stopping this scam..its made me ill...and im sure there are other people who are feeling the same has me, if there is anyone who can help...just one thing left to say, , , , , dont ever order anything..which may catch your eye, , nothing is free..and now its cost us.
I have also had the same experience - with a bounced back email. Being obviously naive I thought I would wait for the product to come and then ring them on the number which came with it and point out their mistake but now reading the above I have obviously been caught up in the scam as well. I have had 2 amounts of $A100.64, one amount of $7.75 taken out and also 3 transactions fees ($0.23, and 2 x $2.97) - should I ring the number quoted above [protected] and talk to Wally - will they be taking any more money out and if so for what? Kate C
I really hope someone can stop this scam.its getting out of contoll, and there getting away with our hard earn money, please if there is someone out there who knows of a way, that we can all get our money back, I cant belive i was taken in by this scam, like a lot of other people, and i think they must be feeling the same has i do right at this moment in time,

Just suffered at the hands of actislim scam, have had two amounts totalling £125.00 taken from credit card, absolutely gutted.I have now cancelled my credit card through fear of further transactions.I am trying to pursue my credit card to see if their fraud dept.can assist in any way, this is obviously an organised scam, payments were applyed from my credit card the very day my order was placed, so no 3 day cancellation was ever going to be honoured, i did in fact try to cancel the order after 2 days as i was uneasy about company.I am very upset with my credit card as when I realised payment had been applyed for it was still pending, yet my credit card have refused to stop the payment, not great considering the amount of fraud going on in the world!has anyone else spoken to there credit cards?i will contact the companies complaints dept.first thing tomorrow.p.s my husband is going to pop by their trading address tomorrow as he works nearby.
there are lots of other message boards out there such as biz that have numerous tails of this scam, even as far afield as new zealand.
one scammed customer suggests it a Deepak Agarwall that is the man behind this scam
i have just rung uk companies complaint dept.and was informed they have not received any complaints against this company, what is going on?are people not reporting them?
Hi Everyone
I am joining this huge community of people who have been defrauded by Better Health! I have emailed them to refund the two unlawful payments totalling £117.98 taken from my account along with the two authorised payments of £2.94 respectively! I have received the Acai berry product but not the Colon cleanser, how strange! I have emailed the interestingly addressed address but do not expect to hear back. I have notified my bank, spoken to the fraud dept but they tell me that, as it shows up as a "recurrent transaction " on my statement, it is the same as a Direct Debit and can be automatically "bridged" to any new card even before I receive it in the post as all bank card details are activated electronically! For anyone else contemplating cancelling their card, save yourself the hassle! The banks have to wait 30 days from the date of the original transaction(s) before they can start investigations so they tell me. They do assure me that, if I can prove the withdrawals were unauthorised by me, then they will reimburse me - little comfort for those on already tight budgets who face the prospect of these ### making further and possibly massive withdrawals from their "customers'" accounts. A friend advised me to keep a separate and minimal account purely for online shopping...quite wise but, with scammers around like these people, I don't EVER want to purchase anything online again! Cheque books are being phased out in the UK so this will lose us another means of protection! Well, brothers and sisters, may we all remain alert, spread the word about this company, keep tabs on their dealings and aliases and be reimbursed by our respective banks! A BIG thank you to Stephen for all his research and advice which I am about to follow. Katherine
Some Helpful Tips and A Solution for The People That Already Purchased the Products
1. Avoid purchasing acai, colon, teeth and similar products from Online stores or companies that lack a strong reputation. Specially don't give your credit card information to any website. Look for contact information address, and online reviews first.
2. It is unethical that these websites put misleading pricing and wording on their advertisements. Even when this business scam / schema appears to be legal. The actual cost of the product is usually in the terms and conditions or in small letters.
3. Don't use/put any product on your body without doing some research first. Consult with your doctor first or with a source of information that can be trusted. Ask for side effects. And also for statistics.
4. If you already purchased the product and you were unaware of the real cost:
4.1 Call the company and tell them that you want a refund. The sooner the better.
4.1. Put a complain with the credit card company and / or your bank. Report the website and be sure to tell them that you do not authorize any charges from this company in the future.
4.3 Put an on-line review of your experience. It will help others.
Ive tryed sevral times to contact the company, and has for the email it doesnt even excist, so what else can i do? I have been to the bank and told them to cancelled anymore payments top this scam company, if anyone has got an email address i would be greatfull please, I live in the uk, and it difficult to always phone the usa.they have taken out of my bank 2 payments of £65, 80 and another 2 payment of 4.95. only recived 1 part of the order dont think im going to see the other order, they have taken both payments out, ,
I too have been conned, they are very smart talkers. I think I may have got $2000 back after a lot of complaining, just waiting to see if it does actually appear as a credit on my credit card statement. The trainers do keep their appointments but the training is very unsuccessful until I again complained and then it is now emailed to me. How one is expected to remember what they tell us unbelieveable. They prey on vunerable people desperate to make some extra income. My only hope is to stick with it and at least recoup my outlay. I have been so stressed about the whole business, ai cannot believe that I was so foolish in the first place, but they are very pursuasive!
Chris, Australia
I too have fallen victim to this scam and I cannot believe that i was so stupid as i am usually so careful.
Chris, Australia
Hi there Stephen, just wanted to say a big thankyou for all the updates you keep on giving us on here.I know i keep asking questions, and you are so kind to answer them, but can you please tell me whats the email i type in to send to this company?BETTER HEALTH, [protected] CY, USD 99.95, RATE 1.5908, CHARGE 1.25, ERTF 1.73 I have only got that, Thankyou Patricia.
Do your research on this stuff before you give your credit card number out.
I don't even have a credit card and I know this.
r u kidding? i lost 300 pounds with this package!
I have been done too. Was paying the postage which was A7.95 and have been charged A$200.64 then when i have been trying to cancel the orders the numbers i have been given don't seem to exist. These are the australian numbers. I have sent several emails away lets just hope i get something back
I had exactly the same experiences. A link from a friend (so you think it is trustworthy) and the deceiving invoice of 2.95 pounds. I have notified my bank of possible fraud and the bank seems to be aware of fraud activities by the same company. Have canceled my card and my bank is still dealing with them to claim the 65 pounds back. I have also filed a complaint on the link above. Hopefully, the authorities will take action to close the company and arrest all the criminals.
please tell me how to contact them my money has already been taken too and my statement shows its gone to Youth Nutrition in cyprus how can i contact them as my bank needs to investigate this and i need proof that ive tried to email them
Hello Charloote.what i did. I got this invoice onlne and printed it off then took it to my bank. it should show you on your invoice the money taken out and also the invoice number, they should beable to track it from there, Ive had the same Scam done to me and it makes you feel so ill.to think this is going on, but im afraid to say that the same people are doing this kind of thing in diffrent countries.and under diffrent names, and have been doing this since 2008.and still going on.
Hi All,
Guess what ! Yes been SCAMMED, Just like to add, this bunch of scammer's should be in jail, they have stolen from my 84 year old mother who is on a pension, they should pay for what has happened, this ### should be in prison, let hope there company is brought down.
Ring [protected] this will get you in contact with the company. Have cancelled my order and have cancelled my card. The money is on hold in my account at the moment but the 3 days ends tomorrow so i am crossing everything that i get my money back
Thanks Amanda have saved that phone number in my Skype, its a free call so will contact them, what annoys me is that the following day my mother had a phone call from someone saying that she had been scammed for £ 65.00 and said they were from her bank, and that they needed her card details, she started to give details then stopped as she remembered that I told her the bank will never phone you asking for card details and promply put the phone down, otherwise her bank account would have been emptied, so be warned, don't get SCAMMED!
Just add my name to the long list...
My credit card company said they would love to be able to stop doing business with companies like this, but they can't, because what they are doing is not illegal (just immoral)...the info is all in the 'terms and conditions'. I thought I was smarter than this, but really it just comes down to this: if it sounds too good to be true...RUN! When I threatened the 'getslimpackage.com' people with complaints, they literally laughed at me! They KNOW what they are doing, and they are LAUGHING all the way to the bank...
well i have talked to my bank and this company and apparently because i have cancelled it online and over the phone i should be receiving my money back tomorrow(fingers crossed). The thing their term and conditions don't tell you is that the 99 dollars or whatever will be held until the 3 day evaluation is over. Another thing is that gets this company is that i kept every email i sent and the ones they sent to me. They really don't like it when you tell them that their term and conditions. When i rang this company the first time (5.00am australian time) the lovely lady bela (not) was trying to make me out to be a stupid person but what i advise is to do your research. I feel like such a fool but once i got my research and rang them i was so prepared to throw everything at them and since i had the full backing from my bank i know that if the money doesn't get returned my bank will be at them. So far the money is on hold in my account so now the waiting game begins
"Just like to add, this bunch of scammer's should be in jail, they have stolen from my 84 year old mother who is on a pension, they should pay for what has happened, this ### should be in prison, let hope there company is brought down."
Brought down for what exactly? For doing what they say they would do? Here is a for instance for you:
Say you had this machine that dispensed pepsi and coke. If you wanted a pepsi, you press the green button and if you want a coke, you press the red button. If you press the green button and receive a coke, why would you be upset? You, and the other ###s here, are essentially upset for this reason i.e. what happened to you was outlined in the terms you accepted [censored].
Answer to your stupid reply/ TheLoveFist II
You did not read the my post properly, I was not the one scammed, it was my 84 year old mother on a pension, so do not call her a [censored], if you read the post properly you would know what I mean, she was phoned by a scammer trying to get her bank details, so you do have a right to say what you have, so go and bury your head in a sand pit you ###, because you are upsetting all my friend here, are you part of that company, why do you come here for, because we can not all be wrong are we, who are you god.
For the benefit of head in a sandpit, the ###, [censored], the one and only, TheLoveFist II, let hear it for him, clap hands.
THE PREVIOUS POST YOU MISSED

Just so some people understand this is a extract from the term and conditions.
By ordering your 3 day trial evaluation of the online Digital Membership to the Colon Life, you will only be charged today the trial price of just 6.95. As a bonus, you will instantly receive today 2 FREE BONUS bottles of the Colon Life weight loss supplement as a free gift to help jumpstart your weight loss. No where does it say that at the beginning of the 3 day trial that the money will be taken out of your account. Ok yes some of us should of thought ok too good to be true but for me this is the first time that it has happened to me. Everyone has the right to their own opinion but it clearly states that (AFTER YOUR EVALUATION PERIOD YOU WILL BE CHARGED 99.95 AND THEN IN 30 DAYS YOU WILL BE CHARGED THE SECOND INSTALLMENT. So instead of being nasty to people just remember that this has caught alot of people all over the world out.
Who do you think you, are calling all us like you have.well let me tell you, one day somethings going to happen to you Mr know it all, Then see if you have still got a Smile on that stupid face of yours, , Dont you dare come on here giving us the dam mouth act, just keep your oppinions to your self (BIG BOY, ) Go and find yourself something better to do, and im sure all of us on here dont want to see any more of your dam advice,
Ad hominem abuse (also called personal abuse or personal attacks) usually involves insulting or belittling one's opponent in order to invalidate his or her argument, but can also involve pointing out factual but ostensible character flaws or actions which are irrelevant to the opponent's argument. This tactic is logically fallacious because insults and even true negative facts about the opponent's personal character have nothing to do with the logical merits of the opponent's arguments or assertions.
So you can add your little bit of Latin TLF11, but most here have been scammed, and there will be more, and stop calling us all ###s. and that we are all wrong.
l too have been scammed and have called my bank with no help however l was wondering if anyone knew whether or not l could hold the bank responsible as l had no money in my account and they still paid which meant l nowhave an unplanned overdraft and charges which this incur, l don't know why they just did not pay them since l had no money in account. Does anyone know what l could do. Thanks !
Hi, fly4work,
Is this in connection to Acai Get slim package web-site, so you phoned your bank, your bank has done nothing wrong, they are only following your instructions, if you had no money in your account why buy!, if this is in connection to the slim package web-site you need to cancel your subcription as they will charge you monthly for there services, phone your bank and warn them that you do not want them paid in future, but make sure you cancel your subscription that you did not realize exsisted, then go back to your bank and explaine what happened and try and ask the bank if they can claw bank the payment from this company, and in future pay with a credit card as you are protected.
Is this what happened let me know.
Hi GJN, thanks for replying, l thought l was only paying $2.98 which was okay but was charged £131 plus obviously the $2.98 which is why l went into the unplanned overdraft ! I know l have been really stupid ! l paid with my visa debit but l honestly didnt realise this could happen! Can't call the fraud dept of my bank till tomorrow . Normally they refuse purchases if there isnt enough money to cover them thats why l wondered why they had paid this one, actually two payments which put my account into overdraft. Will let you know what happens, thank you.
Hi fly4work,
See you got caught on this one, so you were asked to pay $2.98 for a free product to cover postage, and now find that £131.00 has been debited from your account, I think that when you went to there payment screen to pay the $2.98 you did not read there term & conditions as hidden in there you agree to a subscription to be charge on a monthly basis, on the payment screen you saw $2.98 plus two payments of $99.99 is ths right?, they would have sent you an email with log-on details showing what the charges are, find this email and have a look at the account, you will find a cancelation button on that page, click this button and it will cancel your account for a charge of $19.99 but dont do this as you are losing more funds, contact then and cancel direct with emails keeping and saving them or by phone using skype to save costs, you paid by debit card, but you are protected with the visa, you need to give your bank as much information as possible and it may be possible for them to chargeback what you have lost, try this and let me know.
Also, now you have been to there site, you may have phone calls saying that they are from your bank, asking for your bank details, don't give them any infomation, this happened to my 84 year old mother on a pension, but that another story which would take some time to explain, so to recap unsubscribe with that site, go to your bank, best of luck.
