Acaipure review: Charge not authorized by me 1528

I received my Visa statement today and there is a charge for $44.85. I did NOT order this and I will not pay it. I was to be charged only for the shipping cost of $4.95 for a FREE sample of Acaipure. Today is 12/4/08 at 3:55 pm.
I have tried to call and am on HOLD for over an hour. This charge will not be accepted. What kind of scam are you into? I want a credit to my Visa and a confirmation of that credit by mail and I will not wait--I want that credit to my account now and the confirmation now. I simply will not put up with this. I ordered one bottle of Acaipure on 01/02/09 and paid for it by credit card. I then received a second bottle and I returned it on 01/26/09 stating that I only ordered one bottle and I asked for my Visa card be credited. Then in early February I again received a bottle of Acaipure and again I returned it requesting that my Visa card be credited. I just received my Visa statement and no credit for the two bottles were shown. I called their 888 number in Arizona and received no help whatsoever. I think that this company is a sham and I am in the process of filing a complaint with the Better Business Bureau in Austin.

I had the same problem. You don't get to see the fine print until you have already accepted the free sample. You are supposed to send back the free trial within 15 days or get billed for life for their product. When I received the second bottle, I had to sit on hold for an hour so I could get a return number and cancel account. By the way, the operator knew before I said anything as to my reason for calling. I also cancelled my credit card and had a new one reissued. My credit card company wasn't the greatest help either. Acaipure was given weeks to respond--I was given a week.

I also feel scammed big time. I ordered the AcaiPure product supposedly free with a $4.95 shipping cost. When I received the product it also had 2 other products with it. There was also a bill for $44.95. I called customer service and then sent the whole thing back for refund. It didn't say anywhere on the as about other products. Then they sent the AcaiPure back to me with the same statement for 44.95 which was taken out of my account. This company lies and scams you out of money. I haven't even opened the bottle and would still like to return it for a refund. Cindy from Elkhart Indiana

I too was scammed. I received a bill for $44+ and after calling customer service was told that I didn't uncheck a box and was sent products that I didn't order. A box that I didn't see. After speaking with someone in customer service who I believe was talking to each other because each time I called the person was ruder and ruder. After cancelling I had customer service send it to me in writing. I then received a bill for 39.99. I called my bank to cancel my debit card and then reopened a new one. I know this is a scam.

I ordered a free 30 day trial of AcaiPure for only the shipping fee of $4.95. I read alll the small print AND the confirmation email sent to me and there was NOTHING mentioned about automatic future shipments/charges. However, I know how these companies work from past experiences with companies such as Bender Ball, and I know that they only offer you the free trial because they count on your forgetting to cancel and therefore have you as a member. So after I ordered, I immediately emailed the address given in the confirmation email to make sure that I would not receive future shipments. They responded within a day trying to change my mind about membership and telling me that I WAS signed up for a monthly program. But they cancelled it with no problem. If you didn't cancel yours in time, I'd suggest putting a complaint in through the Better Business Bureau saying what a scam it is. I did this with BenderBall and was refunded ALL my money and got to keep what was already sent to me. Good luck.

The same thing happened to me! I thought I was getting a trial bottle of AcaiPure; not a trial membership! After I cancelled they charged my credit card. When I called the number, they said they never received my bottle. (My gut told me I'd been sucked in my a scam.) I talked to someone at the phone center who disconnected me when I asked for an address to write the president of the company. When I called back, I talked to Amber who said she was the "Lead" person on the floor, and wouldn't let me speak with a supervisor/manager. Not able to get any help!

I believe the company is very misleading in their advertising. They offer a "free" 14 day trial however they send a 30 day supply which they then want me to pay the entire price for. Where is the FREE part? They advertise 14 day trial it should be sent that way and let the customer have the opportunity to make further purchases. i feel like I am being cheated and forced into making a purchase.

I have also encountered the same dishonest service from the "Acai-Pure" company due to my willingness to try the "free trial" offer they were offering for $1.95 shipping. Imagine my surprise when I looked at my bank statement online only to find that there were different charges ranging from $39.95 to $44.90, then on Sunday 3/22 I looked at my account and found a charge of $69.95 to my account. Nobody can help you and when I called last week to cancel my order, the man told me that the only way I can get the charges back on my account is if I send the product back. I asked how to send back a product when I never received it and he laughed and told me that he just checked with my post office and they told him that I did indeed receive the merchandise. Now, how does a post office know that the correct person received the merchandise unless they delivered it to my door, in which case they did not because I live in a mobile home park and our mailboxes are in one big box with our individual boxes in that large box. Now I have a total of $263.70 out of my account and I am in the process of disputing charges with my card company, then I am going to get in touch with the Better Business Bureau. I certainly learned a hard lesson, but I also closed out my bank card before more charges show up.

These pills and products ABSOLUTELY DO NOT WORK. Plus, they say it is a free trail, $4 or $5 for shipping. Then it asks if you want additional products for about $40 - if you SAY NO, IT SENDS THE PRODUCTS ANYWAY. Then it CHARGES YOU AUTOMATICALLY EVERY MONTH, even if you send the product back un-opened, with the Return Authorizaion number and all the documents it requires, and the bottles unopened. EVEN IF YOU CANCEL, IT CONTINUES TO CHARGE YOUR CREDIT CARD NUMBER. EVEN IF YOU DISPUTE IT WITH YOUR CREDIT CARD COMPANY, IT STILL CONTINUTES TO BILL YOU. THEY SHOULD BE IN JAIL.

I read all the complaints I called my credit card company and cancelled my card before they could get a chance to keep charging my acct. I asked the credit card company what the most recent charges were to my card, he said there was a charge pending from acaipure for 4.95. I then cancelled my credit card before they could put anymore charges through. I woudn't wait for the charges to be put on your card Cancel your cards asap

The web page says "Claim your RISK FREE Trial Offer Now", but the risks are hidden in the terms and conditions fine print pop up at the bottom of the page. If you don't cancel before the 15 day free trial is up they will automatically bill your credit card for a new shipment. Another catch is if you do not return the unused portion before the 14 day free trial expires you'll get billed for $34.95 (the remainder of the bottle after the 14 days is up). I've been using it for 3 weeks with no positive effects at all. I didn't read the fine print and didn't think they'd take back an open bottle. Don't waist your time or money. It is a scam.

I encountered the same problem! My best advice is NOT to order. They give you 15 days to cancel from the time the item is shipped, which does not give you enough time to even try the product. Then they send you another bottle and charge over $80.00 to your credit card. I've called in a couple times to cancel and still have not received email confirmation of my canellations.

I can't seem to stop them from shipping and charging my credit card. The have charged me 3 times and I have returned all 3. But the charges are still on my credit card. I tried to call and cancel but they claimed they could not bring up my credit card number or name. So I cancelled my credit card. I would still like to be reimbursed for the 3 charges. I ordered a $4.95 free, trial offer of AcaiPure. It was stated all over the website that this was a FREE, TRIAL offer. All I had to pay for was shipping. Once I received the product, if I chose not to continue then I could cancel with no further obligation. Well, there is NO such thing as a free, trial offer. It is a full price, bill you later offer. The only way they won't charge you the $39.95 fee is if you return the bottle unopened with a RMA number within 14 days. My bank account was charged $4.95(shipping) + $39.95(full price of product) for this FREE OFFER a week after I called to cancel the product! What is so FREE about paying full price? When I called to complain, I did not raise my voice, but I told them I was not happy that my account had been charged after I had cancelled the service. It is only in the fine print, which I had read, but misinterpretted, that this is explained. It is about as clear as mud & in tiny, fine print at the bottom of the packing list when the FREE TRIAL offer is in huge letters all over the website. This is deceptive advertising. I was then told I was "blacklisted" from ever ordering from any of their affiliates because I complained & was not happy with the fine print. They had already charged my account, they had their money & yet I was "blacklisted" from them for calling to inquire why my account was charged for a FREE trial offer. I have never been blacklisted in my life, but if I must be blacklisted, it might as well be by a company of scam artists. Anyone who knows me knows that I am about as polar opposite of blacklisting material as can possibly be. So, with a lot of frustration I am being forced to pay full price for a clearly advertised FREE product. Their customer service schemes are just as deceptive as their advertising. I was offered a complimentary $15 credit for my trouble, not even half the purchase price of the product, & then less than a minute later that credit was revoked because I would not change my story that I was unsatisfied with the company. Go figure? Do NOT do business with AcaiPure unless you are intentionally seeking to heap frustration upon yourself.

I ordered the Acai pure free trial in November. I sent it all back in early December. Never got a credit. When I called customer service, they said they hadn't received the product for months after I sent it and refused to give me any credit. When I spoke to supervisor, Arthur Moreno, he said they didn't check it in until February 2--too bad for me. Lesson learned. I'd say stay away from this company--questionable business practices and terrible customer service.

This is a rip-off company! I never opened the bottle of product, and when I asked to return it, I was told to ship it with a delivery confirmation. I was told I would not be charged, except for the $4.95 shipping and an additional 15% restocking fee. A significant price to pay for something I never even opened! I was also told that I should call back to make certain the product had been received or I could give them my delivery tracking number so my credit card wouldn't be charged. Surprise! They charged me anyway! When I called, the young girl told me I would have to wait until they actually received the product before any refund would be made. I explained what I had been told, but she couldn't do anything, she said. I asked to speak to her surpervisor or manager, but was told that the next person in command was the president of the company and he doesn't take calls. So this is a VERY small operation. So much for customer service and honoring good business ethics. I can't vouch for the product but knowing "apples don't fall too far from the tree, " I can only assume the product is worth as much as the company's customer service and business practice. I still haven't received my refund and now have received another shipment, even though I cancelled the membership! I urge everyone to consider very carefuly the companies you do business with. I regret I didn't take my own advice!

Do not order this product. I shipped the worthless product back within the 21 day guideline that they set forth in their terms and was charged an additional 39.95 before the 21 days was up. I have now been told I will only be refunded 34.95 because of a restocking fee. What are they going to restock? Trial pills that were already opened? They seriously can't intend on reusing the trial pills that were already opened so how can they charge a restocking fee. Be very leary of this company!

They are completely unethical. It's unbelievable to me that they would just take money out of my account without my consent or okay. Apparently they tricked me somehow, but in the state of OR when you trick or scam a mentally ill person, you can get into big trouble. I just wrote them a long letter explaining to them that I in fact will get my friend who is a lawyer to persue the case. I'm definately having her check out these complaints. Everyone of you should contact the Better Business Bureue and let them know of their business practices.

Acaipure is a Scam! These people are getting rich off of innocent, hard working people. Someone needs to advise Oprah that her good name is being abused by these no good scammers! They got me too, for 39.95 after I cancelled my order. Boy, was I mad about it. I called them and they tried to make me think that I didn't cancel my order. I can't get my money back, but they will get what's coming to them for scamming innocent people for their quick "get rich" scam!

Like so many others I requested the "free sample" which I would receive for only cost of shipping and once I received it I then called the 800# and requested cancellation of any further shipments. But they have continued to ship to me AND continued to charge my credit card. I am now having to fight the battle through my credit card company.

The charge of $39.95 is an unauthorized transaction. I only agreed to accept a free sample and pay $4.95 for shipping and handling.
I expect this charge of $39.95 to be removed immediately and I am contacting my credit card company informing them of this unauthorized charge as well.

Complete rip off. Initial price is $4.95 shipping AND $39.95 for the product. There is no 14-day trial. This is a total lie and illegal advertising. The product is also absolutely worthless.

I ordered a free month supply and paid only 4.95 for shipping & handling. Now, 2 weeks later, I noticed they took $39.95 out of my account. I called them and they said i have to send the pills i have left, back to them, me paying 4 shipping and handling, then when they get it back, they'll credit my account! Well the Acaipur did not do a thing for me, and I am pissed off they charged my account $39.95 without even letting me know!

I lost my cool with your little customer rep Brett or Brent. I called asking about the charge of 44.90. he was very cocky, not helpful, the seccondtime I talked to him I called him a dick. I don't know who hung up first. I went on the website and was not able to locate this supposed disclaimer about the charge of the pills that he read to me over the phone. I won't waste my time going through everything wrong with your con, I am letting you know I need an RMA number to return the stuff on the way to my house THAT I DID NOT ORDER and i have placed a "dispute of payment " on the 44.90 charge.

I am writting this for my mother who was ripped off by this company. She was to emberessed to do it herself . She 73 and lives off of Social Security only. She was charged one month ago $79.90 Their customer service told her if she sent it back they would refund her money. She did that. All she got back was $20.00 Was told the rest would be refunded once they recieved the product back in the mail. Now here we are one month later and now shes been charged $79.90 again, not once, but two times. Called the bank just this morning and they said there was nothing they could do since it was done on a debit card. WTF? No wonder people hate the banks right now. I tried to find this companies web site and surprise surprise, its no longer up and running, at least I have not been able to find it. Plus the customer service phone number to this company that my mother called is no longer active. GEE another surprise. I contacted my old JAG officer. He reccomended everyone flood the all the news agencies, FOX NEWS CNN, LOCAL ETC ETC. Also flood OPRAHS phone lines and email. Which I fully intend to do. Sooner or later they will have to respond. AND THE NATIONAL MEDIA WILL HAVE TO RESPOND. He also said everyone should get together and launch a huge class action lawsuit. Just one or two people complaing to the company won't acomplish a single thing. It will take everyone who was ripped off by these people. To get them to take us all seriously. Just complaining about it on compaint boards won't get anything done. We have to get nasty and hardcore with them. Thats the only way anything will get done. Hell im even thinking about trying to contact that Erin Brockovich. She knows how to deal with and excuse me for saying this. (###S) Well good luck everyone.
