Alight and SF Benefits refuses to provide transparency, service options (tax changes, beneficiary transfer/changes, Lump or IRA Rollover options)
I read Hewitt moved to Alight and has a "benefits admin" agreement with State Farm.
All parties involved including (middlemen) seem to not provide calculation data as my (and other ex employees) pension amounts which seem drastically lower than they should be. The Commuinications received both from State Farm Corporate, 3rd parties and Alight have been both wrong, not thorough, not addressing the ask/detail asked for and deliberately giveing a run around (advising ex employees to go to "websites" like SFNet that we no longer have access to (Alight portal is bad and does not have the features, calculatations, withdraw options, business rules or any transparency or change options. It seems to be have implemented poorly and wrong with risks to users and employees data and pension $ accrued (pre and post GDPR) "governance". ADP may be involved as well.
Cost of insurance, fees, illustrations, full transparency on illustrated values and calculations are missing.
Service is terrible and demeaning to ex employees and retirees. AON did something similar with IFB /Illinois insurance and did allow participants forced into Retirement Annuity FULL withdrawal (so why is State Farm, Gainsco, Blue Owl and Alight not doing so.
