I had a bad experience with All About Moving
I had a bad experience with All About Moving. They gave me a wrong quote for my move and their service was really slow. They also damaged my 60-inch TV. When I complained about the overcharge, poor service, and broken TV, the owner threatened me with physical violence. I heard that they may not have up-to-date insurance carrier per DOT. Their behavior and business practices are unacceptable and they don't deserve a good ComplaintsBoard.com rating.

These guys were late and didn't even call when they got here. When they came in, one of them was touching everything and saying how nice my house was. They went out to get padding for the piano and I locked them out. I called their boss and he told them to leave, but they came back with coffee. I told them to leave and they got angry and called me racist. I had to call their boss three times to get them to leave. Be careful with this company.

All About Moving moved me on May 28, 2022. The owner called me on Monday before the move to let me know that my card would be put on hold the day before the move. I agreed to it. However, I didn't see the hold until after the move. On Tuesday, May 31, 2022, I called the company and the owner said that the hold should come off in a day or two because of the holiday. I called them again on Thursday, June 3rd, and he said to give it another day and let him know. It's been 9 days since the move, and the $200.00 is still on my card. I tried to call again today, but the phone number is not taking calls.

I told them that I was on the third floor, but they didn't understand that Worcester is a hilly area and that there were stairs to get to the main entrance from the back. They got lost on their way to my old place and then again to my new place. Even though the movers were friendly, they took way too long and kept mentioning that they were working for tips. They charged me 110 bucks an hour for three guys. I only gave them two stars because they did a good job bringing up my couch, but they didn't even finish putting it together.

They promised three hard-working movers, but one only went up and down our three-floor walkup one bedroom apartment about 4 times. Another was 72 years old, not in great shape, sweating profusely, looked like he was going to pass out. The third one was belligerent, saying "I'm not moving your stuff, this is a commercial job not a residential job" (which was only my one bedroom apartment). He yelled that he was not a trash man and would not move our things to the dumpster, which was right next to the truck. We were not asking for anything to be put IN the dumpster, only left NEXT TO it. When my husband called the owner, he said that was fine and there would be no charge. The worker that got aggressive with us said at the end of the move that the change was $120 - and told the owner that the dumpster was over 350 feet from the truck. There is a dumpster on each side of the building, and there is no way the truck was more than 20 feet from the dumpster. The belligerent worker started yelling at me and my husband and got in my face as though he was going to hit me. I told him loudly to get out of my apartment and he wouldn't leave. Several of our bins were dropped and when things fell out, the angry mover threw them angrily back into the bins. Upon arrival at our new house, we realized that many of the bins had been broken beyond using them again. The owner apologized, saying he did not send his best workers because they were on another job. He said other people have had problems with the belligerent guy before. He wanted to send other workers but apparently my move was not as important as the "big move" he had going on. I protested the charges but was told they would not budge. So now I have damaged property, a belligerent man that we should have called the police on, and elderly man who was not strong enough to move me, and a lazy man that only went up and down the stairs a couple of times. I was charged for 6 hours, when my friend who referred me to this company had a two floor apartment with more boxes and furniture moved by other men in the company in 3 hours. I also never received a copy of the bill that was signed and filled out completely.
