American Gold Reserve stars for AGR!

stars for AGR! They are the best in the biz. I bought some coins from them and they were super helpful in answering all my questions. Plus, the coins were delivered on time and in great condition. I even sold some of the coins back to them and the process was smooth as butter. Highly recommend AGR for all your gold and silver needs.

American Gold Reserve AGR called me up and offered to sell me some 1986 Gold $10 American Eagles (certified MS 69) for $1900 each

AGR called me up and offered to sell me some 1986 Gold $10 American Eagles (certified MS 69) for $1900 each. They said I could buy up to 10 of them. I checked and found out that if they were PCGS graded, they would only be worth $700 each.

American Gold Reserve I thought I was getting 2021 coins, but they sent me 2016 coins instead

I thought I was getting 2021 coins, but they sent me 2016 coins instead. They kept pushing me to buy more expensive coins that were almost four times the regular price. It wasn't illegal, but it felt like a trick. I had to block their number to stop them from bothering me.

American Gold Reserve It's just okay

It's just okay. They advertise all over the place and sell gold that's not graded at or a little below the spot price, which is cool. But, they usually don't have what they say they do and try to get you to buy something else they have in stock. That's alright, unless you really wanted the coin they advertised. It's alright for buying bullion, but not for graded stuff.

American Gold Reserve These guys are tricky

These guys are tricky. You call to buy the cheap bullion coins they advertise, but they say those coins aren't good. They mix up fancy coins with bullion coins and try to sell the fancy ones. As Robin O. said, the coins they sell cost three times more than the US Mint's coins. If you want to feel like you're being tricked, call American Gold Reserve to buy coins.

American Gold Reserve I got gold from AGR after reading an ad in Reader's Digest

I got gold from AGR after reading an ad in Reader's Digest. They used a typical bait & switch routine, talking me into higher priced coins once I called. I believed I was getting (5) 1 oz coins for nearly $10,000. When they arrived, however, they were only 1/4 oz. Which seemed higher priced than anyone else, so I sent them back after 2 mos of making pymts on my CC at my expense of $50. UPS thinking I should have a plus balance on my card, only to find I still owed $1500 for them after my Refund. Stay far away!

American Gold Reserve My dad got a paper ad for gold coins at $225

My dad got a paper ad for gold coins at $225. He called American Gold Reserve and talked to Brian Hill. My mom gave the credit card. Mr. Hill sold $9,975 of coins without telling my dad. We sent back the coins and wait for the credit. The company tricked Discover Credit Card by splitting into three parts. It's a bad way to sell.

American Gold Reserve So, I got a call from a dude at AGR named "Matt" and he convinced me to buy a $50 gold thingy

So, I got a call from a dude at AGR named "Matt" and he convinced me to buy a $50 gold thingy. He said it was a 2021 and super rare, so I agreed to pay $1795 for it. He said it would take 10 days to ship, but then a Fed Ex tag showed up at my door the next day. I tried to get them to redeliver it, but no luck. So, I went to pick it up and opened it with the Fed Ex guy, Ed. Turns out, it was only a $10 gold thingy worth like $400-$500. After reading other reviews, I know this wasn't a mistake. I'm gonna try to stop payment with my Mastercard and also complain to the USDOJ and some Texas consumer thingy. Don't mess with American Gold Reserve, y'all.

American Gold Reserve I got 10 $5 Gold American Eagles from American Gold Reserve on 9.17.21

I got 10 $5 Gold American Eagles from American Gold Reserve on 9.17.21. They cost $225 each, which is a fair price for a US Minted Coin that weighs 1/10 of an ounce (about $50 more than the weight's market value). They promised to deliver them in 10 days, and I had to sign for them. The delivery charge was $38, which is also reasonable. The agent reminded me that a $5 Gold Eagle is about the size of a dime, which I already knew. I think they just wanted to make sure I knew what I was getting. They offered me other bullion coins, but I didn't want them because they didn't meet my investment criteria. The rep didn't pressure me, but they did ask again, which I think is just good salesmanship. If I get my order on time and as described, I'll consider it good business. If something's not right when I get my delivery at the end of this month, I'll let you know. Mark C from NC

American Gold Reserve I bought some gold coins from AGR after seeing them advertised in Via Magazine

I bought some gold coins from AGR after seeing them advertised in Via Magazine. The salesman, Andy Harper, suggested I buy more expensive coins for $1795 instead of the ones I originally asked about. I thought they were close to 1 ounce because of the price, but when I got them, they were only 1/4 ounce and much smaller than I thought. I found out that other companies were selling them for only $550! I called Andy the next day to return them for a refund, but he said he would check if it was possible and never got back to me. I left several messages and even threatened to complain to the ComplaintsBoard.com, but he still hasn't responded.

American Gold Reserve I saw an ad in my *** Magazine for gold coins at $175 each from American Gold Reserve on 6/26

I saw an ad in my *** Magazine for gold coins at $175 each from American Gold Reserve on 6/26. I ordered ten coins for $1788 (10x175= $1750 + $38 for shipping and insurance) and got a confirmation # ***. My coworker also ordered the same. I called on 7/14 to ask about my order and was told it would ship on 7/16. Andy Harper said it takes 10 to 15 business days for shipment. My coworker got his coins on 7/16, so I called to check on my order. They couldn't find my order, and Andy said there was an issue with my credit card. He said he called me, but I didn't get any calls. He told me to call my credit card company to let the charge go through. I did, but they said there was no charge attempt. Andy said he would place another order for me at the $175 price and waive the shipping and insurance fee ($38). He gave me a new confirmation # *** but said it would take 3 to 4 weeks for shipment because they were out of inventory. I called back on 7/17 to check, and the shipping supervisor said they wouldn't honor my order because I had ordered in the past. I told him my friend got his order, and there was nothing in the ad about it. I think they didn't want to fill my order because of the increase in the gold price. I called on a Friday evening, and I think my original order got lost.
