July of 2023 my central air conditioning stopped working. I contacted AHS immediately. A week later a mechanical contractor got hold of me and scheduled a time to come out. He checked out the unit and determined there was no freon left. Further he said Freon was not included in my policy. But for over $1500 he would charge it and try to find the leak. No guarantees! He further sent a letter to AHS saying the work was completed and could be repaired. I called another company, and they came out and said it was not repairable. They did run gas through it found the leak in an area that could not be fixed. I have now been on a two month letter writing campaign with AHS trying to get them to replace, repair or buy out the unit. The offer was $200! The unit replacement would be over $7500.
Today I have be totally ignored and I have gotten repeat requests to send bills, statements and proof that this was unrepairable. I have now sent their request multiple times and I continue tto get the same form letter in response, requesting same info or accept the offer. Im done with this company!
