On Thursday, September 14, 2023, I had a Whirlpool refrigerator delivery scheduled for my home. The refrigerator was a replacement approved by my American Sheid Home Warranty due to my old refrigerator going out of service. I selected a Whirlpool Refrigerator as the new replacement. I was originally scheduled for delivery on Sept 11, 2023 (between 8 am-12 pm). I was told the driver tried to reach me but was unable, so since I was his 1st delivery for the day he canceled my delivery. When I called that morning to the delivery company (JB HUNT) to confirm the delivery I was rudely told that I was given a call to confirm but since I didn't answer the delivery was canceled. I was then instructed by JB HUNT to call Whirlpool back & re-schedule, Which I did. The new date was for Thursday, Sept 14, 2023 (between 8 am-12 pm). I received a call by 8:30 that morning and the driver advised he would be there shortly. He soon arrived and let me know he had the new refrigerator to deliver. I then asked him about the HAUL-AWAY of the old refrigerator and he said “SURE FOR A FEE” I replied what do you mean? He then advised me that there were no HAUL-AWAY instructions on my delivery order which I know was incorrect. I then asked him if I were to pay you for the HAUL -AWAY how would that be done? He told me I could CASH APP him or Zelle him the payment. At that point, I felt extremely uncomfortable. I asked him to put the new refrigerator in my garage & declined his service. He was mad at that point & left. I’m 60 years old & have NEVER felt threatened at my home via a delivery! This was outrageous! So at this point, the new refrigerator was not installed nor was the HAUL -AWAY taken care of. I called JB HUNT & Whirlpool and pretty much got a run-around and was told there was nothing they could do …Are you kidding me ? So I ended up calling 1 800-JUNK to remove the old refrigerator. They came within 1 hour. I paid them $220 plus a tip to remove the old refrigerator. I should be compensated for this incident. The disrespect from the driver, the terrible dispatch at JB HUNT. Whirlpool told me “nothing they could do”. The fact that I had to call an outside source & pay to have the situation rectified so that I wasn’t stuck with 2 big refrigerators in my home .
