We moved in over 4 months ago and we had a walk through. Lots of things needed attention but assured me they would be taken care of even after closing. It is standard to find more and more discrepancies as we live in our home. We had many issues that we covered with blue tape, and most are still not fixed. They send painters for one issue, and when I asked the painters about the other issues that needed painting, we were told that the work order was only for that. We needed to contact the project manager about the other issues, so one by one we had painters and texture workers come in for one specific thing. We had cracked cabinets that till this date have not been repaired. Understand we have been living in our house for over 120 days. The trimming and painting are very poor quality, which the manager project manager said was the industry standards, along with their project manager. They tell us they will do it the best they can, but not to my liking. I can rub my walls and the paint just comes off. After repeatedly reporting this to the project manager, we were told that since it is over 90 days from the day of purchase, we were to send it to the warranty request department. Because they had not fixed things on the first 90 days, it was turned over to them now. Our property fence was put out 2 feet into the other property. We had sprinkler system leakage for over 60 days. They had numerous people come to repair it and could not fix it, till the fifth or six time. Our bill came out to $400, which we paid. Jody Barsalou said that was not right and that was due to the leaking problem that was taking over 60 days to fix. The Hinges were not put on correctly, took over 90 days to fix them. We have bulge walls, curved trim. Our dining room windows are offset because it was centered with the opening of the room, but the chandelier was set in the middle of the room. So, the windows really look offset. I can just go one, along with pictures.
I would like my new house to look and feel new. This was our investment that we have wanted to keep for a long time. The experience we had with Aston Woods has been a nightmare. I am tired of trying to get Aston Woods to make it right but am being told by Jody that this their (Aston Woods) standards on painting and trim. Let’s not forget We removed our carpet with tile (we purchase and had another contractor installed). The stairs carpet was replace with expensive wood and tile (same contractor as the rooms) Now they are saying that because of that they no longer can touch up our house. I never asked for touch ups. I asked for the job to be done right. I have not made any warranty request on the tile and stairs. All requests are for the work that Aston Woods has done wrong.
Aston Woods sold us a house, we purchased cash. WE just want what we paid for, GOOD QUALITY CRAFTMANSHIP, TRIM AND CAULKING. WE CAN'T CLEAN WALLS; WE HAVE TO REPAINT. THIS IS MORE EXPENSIVE THAT WE SHOULD NOT BE PAYING.
I have gone to the project manager, their sales office on San Pedro and called asking to speak to someone that is in their corporate office and keep being sent to Jody. Which doesn't solve the problems.
I never request touch up; I submit request for the trim and painting job be done right.
Our renovations have to do with the request for fixing the paint that is not good quality painting, caulking, hinges being put wrong and some of the trim not be sanded down. If you go to see about the complaints Aston Woods have, well I’m not the only one. I never asked for touch ups. This is just one of the emails.

Good afternoon Mr. West,
I have received new warranty requests from you that I would like to update you on.
We notice that our 2 live oak trees are infested with ants. Could you spray something for them to go away.
Unfortunately, we do not cover pest control. You may reach out to hometeam in which you may find their information on the exterior trim. They might be able to offer some options for you.
Attached are 3 pics of our thermostats. each set at 76 main house, 77 Up stairs, & 78 Front Bedroom. Also attached is picture of Thermometer in Master Bed Room says it is 71.2 degrees. How can that be if all the T-stats are set so much higher? I can only attach 4 pictures but the thermometer we have in front bedroom says 75 degrees and the T-stat in that room is set at 78. Something needs repairing.
Pictures are showing all thermostats set at different temperatures and therefore will cause different temperatures. This is an indication that they are working as they should. However, we will send someone to check and verify that everything is still working properly.
Have talk to Leorili about the trash cabinet not able to use with out a struggle to pull out. Have not had any information on what will be done.
Also had a walk through with Jody and loerili about the bottom of the cabinet on the up stairs third bathroom. Still has not been addressed. Please send me an address where I can mail my pictures memory stick that has over 188 pictures of the things that need to be fix. We purchase an Aston Woods house that was over half a million in cash.
As previously discussed prior to any changes, we suggested multiple options before proceeding with the trash can drawer solution even though this was not brought up to us during our final walk through prior to your closing. We offered to install a pull out drawer in island in which you did not want. We offered to leave as is in which you also did not want. We also suggested that we could put in tracks and swap to a door with normal swing vs a drawer pull out in which you did choose to proceed with. At this point we will not make any changes to this specific item which was completed and also confirmed by you and Mrs. West.
Had painters come in and do the job right. But got up at 1:30 next day to blue tape the missed parts and the job that was not done right. And I let alot of other go through. My husband Jody and never got a response. I am so frustrated and want to live with my house that was purchase 5/2023. I have gone into your office and ask for someone in corporate office to please contact us. Till this day no one has. I have over 188 pictures of things wrong on this house, which we paid over half a million
We have addressed your blue tapes numerous times and have sent painters multiple times. You may purchase touch up paint at Sherwin Williams if you feel that more touch ups are needed. We have addressed blue tapes prior to your closing and have also touched up any work done by us after that. Since your closing you have done some renovations such as replacing flooring in the bedrooms, stairs, and game room in which homeowners are responsible for any touch ups done after renovations.
