AutoStar Transport Express I had an agreement with Autostar Transport for a specific price

I had an agreement with Autostar Transport for a specific price. I was sent their long and detailed contract which i read thoroughly and executed. The contract very clearly spelled out the price. Once a driver was located, *** contacted me and advised that the cost would be $10.00 more. Honestly, this was one percent and i was shocked that any company would renegotiate after such a comprehensive contract process and for such a silly amount. *** offered 'gift cards" but I rejected and we agreed that he would just refund 10.00 to the original method of payment for the deposit. i followed up several times but *** went silent. My last email advised that i would not chase him but that it would effect my review and i would honestly report the outcome. I simply can not understand a company that ties the customers hands six was from Sunday with an e contract and then blatantly dishonors the one and key component that applies to them. Beware anyone who would act that way, especially for ten bucks. Ethics are apparently for sale at Autostar and for not a lot of money.

Edwin was super nice and honest I had some concerns and he did not charge my card until he had a confirmed pick up driver! My model Y was picked up within the hour and 3 days later it arrived as expected and as promised. Highly recommended.

The company was amazing. They always kept in contact with me throughout the process. *** was super nice and had so much patience answering all my questions. My car was shipped over sees in no time even on holiday season.

I had to move all the way from Texas to North Carolina. Given the weather conditions I decided to hire a driver to have my Car shipped. Being my first time with all moving, shipping my car was something hard for me to do. I would never rely on anyone else with my car. Auto Star was amazing with all my requests and concerns. They made it very easier by following up on my pickup date, they were very flexible and matched my requirements. Best part is when driver was ready to deliver my car as soon as I landed in North Carolina. He was on time and my car was with me even before I checked in to my hotel and it made my day . I would definitely recommend them. I made the right choice having them handle my car movement. Superb!

I requested a quote for multiple transport services and *** from Autostar called me right away and gave me. a price with details. Once I booked my car to be transported they provided excellent communication and was there to pick up the car at the *** that they originally gave me. Once my car was in route to the destination, I was even able to call Autostar and they provided me with detailed tracking information and confirmed the original deliver date. On the day of delivery, I received phone calls and text messages from the driver giving me the exact time that the delivery will be made. I was so pleased that it was the same driver and my vehicle was on the original transport truck that it left on. I can not say enough good things about Autostar, *** (My Transport Representative ) and the customer service staff, and I would recommend them to anyone out there looking to have their vehicle transported. I almost forgot to mention that my Car left on Tuesday evening (from Mississippi) and arrived on Sunday afternoon (Southern ***) WOW only 5 DAYS Not only was their price the best, their transportation time was EXCELLENT! Thank you *** and Autostar!

I used AutoStar Transport Express to ship my vehicle across the country (from Miami to Los Angeles). The whole process was very easy, the team was very helpful and responsive, and the car arrived even earlier than the promised time. I’m very pleased with their service and definitely recommend them!

We had to transport two vehicles over 2,500 from the East Coasr to Arizona. Everything was handled professionally, timely and without ant issues. I would recommend them for these services if anyone had this need.

I recently had my Tesla Model 3 transported from one city to another and it was a great experience. The car was shipped in an enclosed trailer to ensure it arrived in perfect condition, which it did. The transport process took about 7 days and I was pleased with the level of communication throughout the process. Both the pickup team at the origin and the delivery team at the destination were easy to reach and kept me informed of the status of my car. I was also happy with the timeliness of the transport - it arrived exactly when it was scheduled to. Overall, I would highly recommend this car transport company for anyone looking to safely and efficiently ship their vehicle.

AutoStar Transport Express I'm not the type to leave a review but this is well deserved

I'm not the type to leave a review but this is well deserved. I must say AutoStar made me feel a little skeptical and worried at first. I dealt with Frank N from day 0 up until my vehicles got delivered. I've never moved across the country before; therefore, this process was very stressful. Frank worked extremely hard finding a good carrier to transport my vehicles. A company name Arizona Auto Relocation LLC transported both my 2007 Toyota Camry and 2010 Honda Accord. The driver carrier's name is Denny. Denny was very communicative with me and delivered my vehicles 2-3 days earlier than expected. It never felt so great to see my vehicle again. My wife was emotionally happy to had received her vehicle as well. No matter how many times I had called Frank, he always seemed very joyful and professional in answering all my calls and never rushed me off. Frank also encouraged me to call anytime I wanted for updates and trust me...I took advantage. After Denny unloaded both vehicles I did a walk through and both vehicles looked GREAT. Both Frank and Denny were very professional, respectful, and communicative. I highly recommend and commend AutoStar and Arizona Auto Relocation LLC. You will be in sage hands.

AutoStar Transport Express AutoStar Transport Express exceeded my expectations

AutoStar Transport Express exceeded my expectations. I was worried in the beginning of the process as I did not know if the business was legitimate. This was in part because of the perception I got from the website. I ended up doing some research and comparisons and this company ended been the best option. Not only is it a dependable company but they made the process easy. I moved my car from the states to *** while multiple hurricanes were in the Atlantic/*** and my vehicle made it without a scratch! I thought that at the bare minimum it would have scratches due to the rough weather. Not the case. They were quick and responsible. Every time I called I was able to get a hold of a real person and they were quick to find answers to any of my questions. I had read the few negative reviews and like any normal person, I was a little worried about time tables. It is true that my vehicle did not make it on the exact date we had scheduled but it was due in part because of hurricane ***. I would recommend this company to anyone looking to transport their vehicle. Professional, responsible, and best of all personable. They even pointed me in the right direction to get all the import documents in order. Thank you for making my experience excellent. You will have my business next time.

AutoStar Transport Express I was going to fly a family member to Texas to drive one of our vehicles to our new home in Virginia

I was going to fly a family member to Texas to drive one of our vehicles to our new home in Virginia. Between airfare, lodging, meals, and extra gas it would have been expensive but necessary. Then a friend mentioned using an auto transport company, and after a Goggle search I selected a website that forwarded my parameters (where to and when) to five different auto transport companies. Four sent me emails with vague costs and conditions, while Edwin Meffe with AutoStar Transport Express called me immediately to assess my needs and followed it up with an emailed guaranteed quote. A few days before the scheduled day of the transport I received a call from AutoStar dispatch, followed by a text the day before the pickup, then a call from the driver of the truck the morning of the pickup. The driver arrived on time as promised, followed Covid-19 protocols, was very polite and respectful, and most of all handled loading our car with utmost care. Two days later he arrived exactly where we wanted the car delivered, completely undamaged and almost as clean as when he loaded it. The process was easy, fast, and very professional, and I would highly recommend that anyone needing their vehicle transported over long distances call AutoStar Transport Express. I contracted with AutoStar Transport Express three weeks ago and they have yet to transport my vehicle and AutoStar Transport Express has offered no timeline as to when the vehicle will actually be transported. I am now being charged by the auto dealership where the car is located for storing the vehicle, since AutoStar Transport Express has not shipped the vehicle within the time period promised. This should be an easy move, the car is less than 1000 miles away, is operable, and to be shipped via open transport. Over the past three weeks I have contacted AutoStar Transport Express via telephone and email and have been cordial and patient with their staff. Three different AutoStar Transport Express staff I spoke with promised by the end of that day they would contact me to provide updates, none of the AutoStar Transport Staff contacted me as promised. Yesterday the service representative "accidentally" dropped my call and made no effort to call me back. I find it quite curious that the ComplaintsBoard.com gives this company a good rating. Ratings and customer complaints from other business rating entities suggest that AutoStar Transport is quite often extremely negligent, unreliable, and should be avoided. I am curious about this discrepancy and makes me question the reliability of ComplaintsBoard.com ratings information and what criteria ComplaintsBoard.com uses to rate companies.

AutoStar Transport Express Awesome service!

Awesome service! Our previous transporter canceling last minute, so we were very desperate to get our two cars picked up within the next two days. Most companies were unable to schedule a pick-up for another week (understandably), or charged ridiculous high amounts. Autostar told us they could pick it up by Monday (it was a Friday at the time) but quickly got back to us and offered a same day pick-up for a small increase in price! This worked out great because our flight was on Monday, so we paid the ~$100 extra. They assured us that the price we agreed upon was the price we would pay (minus a small upfront reservation fee), and they held true to their word. The cars were picked up on Friday in Texas and dropped off in New York on Tuesday. That's a 4 day window across the country, over the weekend! Both pick-up and drop-off went very smoothly. The cars arrive in perfect condition, just a little dirty, but that's to be expected. The drivers took plenty of pictures before and after which gave us a nice security in the case something did get damaged (which didn't happen, luckily!). Due to the circumstances we contacted a lot of car transport companies, and none would be able to deliver it in this time window. Some other companies were even vague about the price but Autostar was honest with us regarding price and didn't charge us anything extra than we agreed on. I would totally recommend them for their awesome and quick service.

Just wanted to write a review as it's a hard decision which company to go with. I researched six companies and tried to compare price, service and guarantees. So thankful I went with AutoStar Transport! From the very first person I spoke with, he was knowledgeable and polite. I didn't book right away as I wanted time to do my research. I was never pressured to hurry up and book. I feel like I had a full understanding of the process. Then the next person who my parents dealt with in CO was the person picking up the vehicle. They took what felt like a million pictures of the car and was able to email me and my parents the pictures as well as a diagram so we could all agree on any previous scratches or marks. The pick up was well received and the person was professional. I did end up calling the 1800 number to make sure the car would be arriving to me in TX on the proper day. Because of a storm it was a day late but this worked out better for me (instead of a Fri night it was a Sat afternoon). The 1800 operator was wonderful, gave me the drivers cell. The driver was wonderful. The upon arrival of my vehicle I could look back at pictures and make sure the car was perfect. The driver pulled out winded and cleaned off my windshield and even some bird poop. Certainly not his job as it was an open truck (cheaper) that I had agreed upon. Anyway, door to door service. Everything was perfect. Everyone was polite and professional in all aspects of the company.

AutoStar Transport Express I saw a couple negative comments about this company

I saw a couple negative comments about this company. I being a business owner know that the louder and more out of line a review is the less i need that customer to return. There are plenty of brokers out there who will look for shippers. Shippers are generally independent and I knew that. This company's representative reached out to me twice with a call and once with a text. He seemed to be actually working to get a driver. The second call he had one secured with a price that was a bit higher than i wanted however was ready to pick up the next day without fail. So i committed and send the money to this company and shared the instructions to make everything work. He followed up twice and passed *** driver's name, company name, phone number and all to me. I was impressed. Then the driver called me to confirm the load and suggested to me when it would arrive at my location. Good so far. The day of the pickup i received confirmation text and email with the BOL and any and all necessary paperwork. Later the driver called me to advise me he was on the road and confirmed the approximate delivery time about noon the day after tomorrow. All good. Later the next day driver called again to advise all was well but he may be an hour late on delivery. Next morning he called again to advise me it would be 1:30 PM versus the 1 PM he told me the day before. I suggested no problem. Then again about 1:15 he called to advise me he had turned onto the main road to get to me. And then in a few minutes he was here right on time. He had a auto hauler trailer and all was secured full of autos except one vacant. in just a matter of minutes he had mine off and in my driveway. I paid him cash as we agreed upon and off he was. The extra hundred bucks i thought was too high was well worth it. i really should not have worried at all. I don't know if i was just lucky or if they are just that good. I would do this again and again.

We had a wonderful experience with AutoStar Transport Express, and it was all done in a hurry. I still can’t believe how well it worked out, because we asked a lot of AutoStar, and they delivered. My husband has a 16 year old Porsche Cayman (Gigi) that he races in autocross, and usually wins top three. Gigi is extra special, because his deceased friend transformed the car and it’s a reminder of how extraordinary he was. Gigi developed a terminal engine defect called bore score. We don’t have $$$$$ to fix it. We thought my husband’s autocross days were over until we could save the money needed, or we’d potentially have to sell Gigi. Thanks to AutoStar, Gigi is getting a “new” engine. We found a front-end crushed 2007 Cayman on a wreck bidding site. It is not subject to bore score issues. It was only an hour from home and we got a great deal on it - better than we should have. Due to many issues, including bad New England winter weather and Covid, we couldn’t finalize the deal and get the car in the week allotted by the bidding site, and they were going to cancel the deal (even though their offices were closed during this time and we could not contact them). When we finally settled things, they gave us one business day to arrange pick up and take possession of the car. I was frantic. I called and emailed about a dozen transport companies many of whom either did not answer (it was a Friday late in the day) or could not help in the time allotted. I got about five quotes, and AutoStar was the best for cost and quick availability. Plus, my AutoStar agent was super efficient; very responsive and had great communication skills. AutoStar arranged pick up details with a driver in mere hours. Come Monday morning, the AutoStar driver was there on time and safely transported the wrecked car to our mechanic. What was alarming was that the auto bid site had already re-listed our car in preparation for our “inevitable” failure to pick up the car. It was a close call.

AutoStar Transport Express This is the first time we've ever used a transport service

This is the first time we've ever used a transport service. It took me a long time to trust in a company after so many scams I read about, and price quotes all over the place from the various services. I settled on AutoStar Express as the quote in the middle of the others, and they allowed me to pay with a credit card for the entire transaction. I had read many things about cash payments and carriers holding cars hostage on the trucks until customers paid more than what was quoted so I was not willing to get into that. I also knew how much the carrier fee was from multiple quotes I received. I asked for the total to be broken down between carrier and broker fees from each company. With a carrier fee for our distance at $300-350, I knew how much brokers were charging on top of that with quotes ranging from $300-700+. AutoStar wasn't the lowest, but I liked who I worked with (***) and liked the thoroughness of the contract. Some contracts looked like a child put them together. *** and *** were who I worked with at AutoStar and were absolutely amazing. I worked with *** the most, and probably drove him crazy with questions and stipulations, but he was patient and informative with me. I appreciate someone who is straight forward and not condescending ( I encountered a few in this business throughout this process), and he made me feel as comfortable as I could have felt with this new experience. I would definitely work with him again, and *** helped me with carriers as well and was excellent in her knowledge and communication. We did have difficulty going through carriers that either cancelled last minute or broke down. *** and *** kept working on it until we found a carrier that followed through. The carrier we ended up with was ***.. The driver, ***, was careful and communicated throughout the process. He even delivered the car without a scratch on the same day. If we have to transport a car again, we'll use AutoStar.

AutoStar Transport Express The worst part of moving was dealing with the company

The worst part of moving was dealing with the company. We booked our SUV to be shipped about 3-4 weeks in advance, we did not hear any news until the day it was supposed to be picked up. They informed us they'd need an additional $150 to ship within 2-3 days of the date we were expecting this to ship. The drive came and had no paperwork, so we took photos of the truck to verify his license. Looking back we should never have let him take our car. We proceeded moving our family from Southern CA to Dallas, after 3 days we had not heard any news, so we followed up. They could not give us an ETA so we were getting uncomfortable. After 5 days we found out the truck driver had abandoned the trailer with our vehicle on it in Coachella at a truck stop. We found this out from a distraught trailer owner not Autostar. Autostar told us the vehicle was still in route, but there was not ETA. After another day went by there was still no movement on our vehicle and I was informed by the truck driver that the keys were left under the trailer, which had been sitting in a packing lot for 5 days. I decided to fly back from TX to CA and find my vehicle at my own expense. It took about 6 hours of driving around to track down my vehicle and remove it from the trailer. Strangely when I took my vehicle off the trailer my gas tank was completely empty (I filled it half way before I handed it over to the driver to make sure I could run errands when I arrived). I finally arrived in TX after I gave them my car 8 days prior. I spent the next two days driving from Coachella to Dallas at my own expense. I called Autostar to ask them to refund my deposit which they did. On the second day of driving I noticed a crack in my windshield and a damaged rear door. I called them to inform them of the damage, but they informed me that since I took the car off the trailer it was not covered under insurance. Please do not use this company, every part of the experience was inadequate. I ended up spending nearly $1,000 in travel expenses just to fly back and drive. We have $2,000 in damage to our vehicle and I wasted nearly 3 days in travel.

AutoStar Transport Express They quoted me $595 to transport a vehicle

They quoted me $595 to transport a vehicle. I made an initial payment, on their request, of $195. The remaining $400 was supposed to be paid upon delivery. But now they want $525 upon delivery. This is a problem because they made false and misleading statements. They already received my initial payment and should stick to the original quote. They should either pay the difference or give me a refund for my initial payment. If they don't, I will find a trustworthy company to do business with.

AutoStar Transport Express I hired AutoStar to move my car from ** to WA on 10/17

I hired AutoStar to move my car from *** to WA on 10/17. They told me the earliest pickup date would be 10/20 and had 5 biz days to pick it up as per the contract (10/26), but they said it would be delivered on time (10/28). On 10/25 I contacted AutoStar to tell them I was worried because they hadn't picked up the car and wouldn't be able to deliver it on time. AutoStar then said they needed more money to find a driver, so I asked to cancel. I had paid a $175 deposit and wanted it back. AutoStar said no, claiming I canceled within the 5-day pickup window. But AutoStar couldn't deliver at the agreed price, so I should get a full refund.

AutoStar Transport Express On 6/14, I hired AutoStar Transport to move my car from Pompano Beach, FL to High Point, NC

On 6/14, I hired AutoStar Transport to move my car from Pompano Beach, FL to High Point, NC. AutoStar then hired Taj Delivery of Port Lucie, FL to handle the car's transportation. During the journey, Taj Delivery caused some serious damage to the front fender of my car, which was clearly documented with pictures on the delivery BOL. Taj Delivery does not deny the damages or the cost of repairs. They assured me on three separate phone calls that they would send a check to cover the damages. However, I have yet to receive any payment, and the person I spoke to at Taj Delivery, ***, has been avoiding my calls. It seems clear that they have no intention of compensating me for the damages they caused. I understand that AutoStar's contract states that they are not responsible for any damage caused by the carrier, but their contract also promises to designate a "reliable" carrier. Taj Delivery is neither reliable nor honest, so I am reaching out to AutoStar for assistance in pressuring Taj Delivery to reimburse me for the damages they inflicted upon my car.

AutoStar Transport Express I paid the down payment from my bank account in July

I paid the down payment from my bank account in July . The contract got signed on 8/23, with the pick-up date set for Aug 25. But guess what? The pick-up never happened! On the same day, I got a call saying they're still searching for a carrier to pick up my vehicle. They didn't even bother giving me a new date. I'm stuck in limbo here! Frustrated and unable to reach my destination on time, I sent them an email canceling the whole thing and demanding my initial payment back. I spoke to customer service, and let me tell you, they're completely unreasonable and unrealistic! They basically told me, "No refund for you, buddy." That's when I started getting suspicious and seeing red flags. It seems like once they have your money, they only send emails to pretend they're looking for carriers. And guess what? It benefits them because it restarts the contract window for a refund. You can't even call them to ask for a refund or cancel! It has to be done in writing. This is straight-up fraud and entrapment! We need to put a stop to these people!

AutoStar Transport Express I hired AutoStar to move my car from Napa, CA to Saint Thomas, VI

I hired AutoStar to move my car from Napa, CA to Saint Thomas, VI. They were supposed to handle everything, but they didn't do a good job. They didn't talk to their carriers or maritime shippers properly, so these people had to contact me to fix problems with AutoStar's communication and messed up paperwork. The biggest problems with my shipment so far are: 1) they didn't pick up my car from my house like they were supposed to. I had to figure out how to get it to the domestic carrier myself, without any warning and at my own cost. 2) they didn't give the right documents to the maritime shipper, so they couldn't pass my car from the domestic carrier to the maritime one. Once again, I had to fix the problem of incomplete paperwork and communication between their carriers.

AutoStar Transport Express Auto Star Express and a partner company mishandled our vehicle severely

Auto Star Express and a partner company mishandled our vehicle severely. The delivery person was intoxicated, emitting a strong alcohol odor and speaking incoherently. Attempts to contact both companies were dismissed indifferently. The driver even falsified documents to conceal his misconduct. Their insurer, Progress, informed us that there was no coverage, and they couldn't identify the truck used for our delivery. They're refusing to acknowledge the damages caused by their inebriated driver, who was already drunk early in the morning upon delivering our damaged vehicle. Autostar Transport Express is unresponsive to our concerns. We've been neglected with a car valued between $3000 and $5000, significantly damaged since early 2021, with no effort made for repairs. These operators are deceitful, have mishandled our situation, and now ignore our existence. Our claim was rejected on the grounds of the driver being uninsured, as confirmed by Progress. The car remains in disrepair, and we're left awaiting action.

AutoStar Transport Express I booked my car spot on a 7/20 barge to PR

I booked my car spot on a 7/20 barge to PR. Got a call from transport rep saying my car would be picked up from me on 7/13 and delivered to the port on 7/19. Said that was enough time to get on the 7/20 barge (rep misinformed). On 7/19, *** confirm shipment was good to go on 7/19, he said "good to go" (*** misinformed). Called 7/22 to ask if my car was in PR yet and spoke to *** who said it hadn't shipped (due to priority of med supplies), but that she would try to get it onto the 7/24 barge. Called *** who said there isn't a 7/24 barge (*** misinformed), and that my car was not shipped b/c wasn't at port in time. (Even though rep said 7/19 was enough time to get to the 7/20 ship). Then called *** and she said 7/20 ship hadn't sailed at all (*** misinformed). Hadn't shipped 8/31 when I called. Called back 8/4, told it was ready to pickup since 7/30, and I had 1 day to pick up. Invoice req'd for pickup, recvd 8/5 *** so rude. Had to rent car for $700/wk.

AutoStar Transport Express On 12/14, I hired AutoStar Transport to move my car from Boynton Beach, FL to Clovis, CA

On 12/14, I hired AutoStar Transport to move my car from Boynton Beach, FL to Clovis, CA. The Sales Representative explained the process and said a carrier was available on 12/17 to transport my car. Right after I signed the contract, they charged my card a down payment fee of 200 dollars. But on the 17th day, when my car was supposed to be picked up, nobody came and nobody called to tell me anything. I tried contacting the company to find out what was happening, but no luck. By then, I was getting ready for my flight to California for my Travel Nurse assignment. So, I asked my sister to call the company on 18th to inquire about a date for the car transport. The representative told her they had no date or estimated time for the pickup. She followed up the next day on 19th, only to find out they still didn't have a carrier and couldn't provide a pickup date. The lack of transparency and information made me uncomfortable, so I canceled the contract on the 20th. I spoke to another company representative and explained my reasons for canceling. Later, I received an email saying my refund wouldn't be granted because I canceled within a 5-day period. The company failed to deliver on the agreed time, couldn't provide a pickup date, and refused to give me a refund. They shouldn't have charged the fee in the first place since they hadn't found a carrier or pickup date, and I canceled before they did. Moreover, as soon as I canceled, I hired another company, and they confirmed transportation for my vehicles within hours. The next day, my car was picked up and on its way to CA. So, my loss of confidence in this company was justified.
