Back Market I have used Back Market for four purchases now, three iPhones and a MacBook computer

I have used Back Market for four purchases now, three iPhones and a MacBook computer. Two were smashing successes! The products were exactly as described and worked great. Two were not great experiences. One phone was great except it had a battery that needed replacing and did not meet its quality description. The other phone was clearly of poorer quality than described and was missing its sim card tray. I think these issues are mostly due to specific reseller's quality control rather than Back Market, which I think only facilitates the sales as a marketplace. I will continue to use them for now. The website experience overall is great with a friendly vibe and good customer service. Their process, notifications, and portals are all very good in general. They offer exceptional guarantee policies (help for product issues, 30 day no issue returns, etc.). Plus it is one of the few places you can buy a refurbished item with a product and accident protection warranty. As long as they can help ensure their resellers only send products as described it should be a great experience overall. I also had a few small issues with design and communication (got partial refund from seller with no explanation and had to reach out to clarify and receive the rest of the refund).

Back Market BackMarket, Inc

BackMarket, Inc. itself, is about as corrupt as any business I have every dealt with. During this experience I read their Terms of Service Agreement. In comparison, I guess I should have a lawyer accompany me to get a burger at ***. Because if I got food poisoning, it wouldn't be their fault. It would be their suppliers fault, and they can't be held responsible in any way. And how can you change or modify anything on your site without being held responsible for the content? Now, ***, their supplier. They are straight up selling falsely advertised products. I seriously doubt, they have ever sold a single product that plainly states in the title and description "Dual Sim". They sent me a device worth less than half of the one I thought I was purchasing. Now, my personal opinion. I never will buy a single thing from BackMarket again, and more than likely discourage anyone I know that might be considering it. Three weeks of my TIME has been wasted. TIME... the most precious, valuable thing in existence! Regardless if believe that or not. Even stars are restricted to a finite amount of time they can exist. Humans have the equivalence of less than a quantum particle in all actuality. So yes, thank you so much Back Market Inc. for stealing and wasting my precious time.

Back Market I ordered from Backmarket based on a family recommendation

I ordered from Backmarket based on a family recommendation. The prices were great, the process was seamless and the phone we got was perfect UNTIL we tried to switch carriers. We supposedly bought an unlocked phone but when we tried to switch carriers we learned that the phone would NOT work on the new network. Multiple techs tried various things to make it work including multiple SIM cards. The phone worked fine on our original network but would not work on the new one. We reached out to the seller and they told us to send the phone back. We sent photos of the phone before sending and the phone was fine...no longer "mint" condition as we had been using the phone for 3 months at that point but not anything worse than normal wear and tear. When they received the phone they said the back was cracked and the front was badly scratched. It was not cracked when we shipped it in bubble wrap and a padded envelope. Regardless, my complaint is the misrepresentation that they had sold us an unlocked phone. When multiple techs tell you it won't work on their network (a major carrier) but we could port the number back and it works just fine on the old network (also a major carrier) clearly we define "unlocked" differently. Now I am stuck with a useless phone because they won't refund us because the phone was damaged in shipping but they sold us a locked phone claiming it was unlocked. I cannot recommend this company if you ever plan to switch carriers.

Back Market My wife and I both purchased an excellent iPhone 12s from this website

My wife and I both purchased an excellent iPhone 12s from this website. My wifes phone came with 84% battery life, I contacted customer service and the whole process was absolutely terrible. They wanted me to send my wifes phone back before they would replace it and go 6+ days without a phone. My phone was at 100% battery life. You get what you pay for and it is a mix bag. I would not recommend BackMarket and I will NEVER purchase another phone from them again. I spent so much time going back and forth with ***, they were terrible. They made the mistake and sent me a terrible phone and then wanted to inconvenience me. This type of service should show you how poor quality BackMarket is since they do business with shady vendors like ***. BackMarket sends you all these automated emails like they care and provide great customer service and it is all a front. They do not step in and make things right. We also traded our phones in. I sent my flawless iPhone XR in and they came back and said they wanted to counteroffer, again with very limited information, it just said they device was very good and not flawless with NO reason. So I sent an email and pushed back and then they responded apologizing they made a mistake and reanalyzed my phone and changed it back to $149. Once again, if I did not push back, I would have been shorted 40 bucks. I was also told I would be refunded a certain amount for the poor battery and that never happened either! Buyer beware.

Back Market Well I tried to buy a used refurbish cell phone on their website and it looked good

Well I tried to buy a used refurbish cell phone on their website and it looked good. Went through the transaction and it went through then 2 minutes later the website said my transaction failed. I did this with 3 different credit cards and they all failed. I called my bank. they said you have no issues on your credit card. I called their customer service the first time and the guy says its their end and I needed to upload my drivers license. I did that on my account. yet I tried again, it failed. I called the customer service again frustrated. He didn't want my money I told him. I ask where he was located, he said COLUMBIA. I said Columbia what? there are many cities named Columbia, he said the country *** so its not even in ***. He couldn't even find me after reading my email to look me up and that he couldn't even understand me over the phone nor my transaction number. Well what could I do, that is their customer service at ***. What can a consumer do. I have to look for my phone elsewhere. Mind you, I don't have bad credit and my limit is fine. My bank checked on my card, they said it most likely is the merchant. I bought other things that day with my same card on ***. I not saying don't do business with these people but you may get failed transactions and they wont and can't resolve it leaving you to look elsewhere for a refurbish phone. Not a good way to keep business coming. But this company doesn't even even seem to be an American business.

Back Market If there was an option for 0 stars I would do it

If there was an option for 0 stars I would do it. This company is a fraud! I ordered a phone that was supposedly a Verizon compatible phone, paid over $900 for it. Got the phone, and it was NOT compatible with Verizon. I immediately within 1 hour of receiving let the company know. The seller 1st said that it was and that I just needed to ask the company for the information, which is not how it works, I tried. I asked for a refund and the seller went silent. I lodged a complaint and there began the most idiotic back and forth I've ever experienced. They said they were trying to get in touch with the seller and that as soon as they did they would get back to me. I would literally have to email them every week to inquire about what was going on with my refund and I would get this same response from zendesk, they were working on it and it had been put as a priority. This went on for months. Finally, I let them know that I was fed up and would be reporting them to Complaintsboard.com and lo and behold they somehow finally got to my case...I was so done, I needed the phone so I found a different carrier which wasnt the one I wanted but didn't have an option. If you look up the phrase "run-around" their name would be there! It was ridiculous. I will never again purchase anything from them. Such a fraudulent company. I wished I had come on here before buying. Ironically the reason I did buy was because of some (I'm sure fake) commenter said they had a good rating with the Complaintsboard.com. LIES! BUYER BEWARE~

Back Market So wow yesterday was my 4th order with back market a MacBook Pro Retina 13.3-inch (Late 2016) - Core i5 - 16GB - SSD 256 GB so this came just as

So wow yesterday was my 4th order with back market a MacBook Pro Retina 13.3-inch (Late 2016) - Core i5 - 16GB - SSD 256 GB so this came just as stated. I bought for my son. We bought it at a fair rating and it is great. The first order was another MacBook Pro 13.3-inch (June ) - Core i5 - 16GB - HDD 1 TB and it was fine. I bought these for my son. We recently sent it back and they sent us a label as said in there warranty -----it is route to them now and I will come back and update regarding this. ***iPhone SE 32GB - Space Gray Unlocked was my second item...and it was delivered by *** to the wrong address...I tried to do my research and I immediately let them know that it was a problem, yes it was very complicated with numerous text and persistence that I finally got a gentleman to assist me through the process. It was very tedious but I will say that in the end Mr. G and the gentleman that kept me up to date on what was going on, I did get my refund. After this yes I was very skeptical about ordering from them, but my son LOVE APPLE PRODUCTS...so he found the computer that we just received on the site and we wanted to give them another chance as i don't think our issues come from Back Market but it's the sellers on their site. So I just ordered last night Galaxy Note9 128GB - Lavender Purple Unlocked it is in the process of being sent to me. I pray that this is a good seller, but I think this is a great company with reasonable products and so far for me they have stood by their warranty. Will have confirmation after the item is received and will have update on my NOTE 9 once I received

Back Market Not impressed

Not impressed. Purchased an iPhone SE 2020 this April (2022). I researched BackMarket, read reviews, even watched a *** review of the company. Seemed like a reputable place. Paid for "excellent condition". Took over a week to arrive. All seemed ok until, within 3 weeks of owning the phone, the screen went black, completely without warning. It hadn't fallen, no water damage, no jostling. I take really good care of electronic devices - last phone I bought was a *** S4 (!) Dec of 2014...after 7 & 1/2 yrs of daily use it's still pristine, just couldn't keep up with the new apps. Have been just as careful with this phone. While it's working, it's great. I love Apple products. It synchs with my iPad, has 128 GB (My trusty *** Galaxy had 16), & would be perfect for my needs IF it were truly in excellent refurbished condition. I've been rescued twice, once by *** and once by a local ***ersity area shop with stellar people and service. Both said 84% left on a battery is hardly "excellent"; Apple itself recommends you replace at 85%. Neither place charged me a dime. BackMarket sent me tons of cutesy emails indicating their "concern". It's impossible to get a hold of them other than by email. You can *** their phone but if your phone isn't working, that's not a viable option. Takeaway from that: Buy new or Buy Local. Otherwise, there's no real accountability. My phone is now being diagnosed by the awesome local shop practically on the campus of the *** of AZ...they wouldn't be the only place around with 10's of thousands of students in the area if they weren't really good. Easier to have them diagnose and repair - it needs a new battery - than to deal with BackMarket's barrage of cutesy emails, mailing labels & 3rd party vendors. I won't be buying from BlackMarket again. If I buy refurb'ed again, I'll go thru *** where you can get a really good idea of the seller and you're 100% protected by *** Don't buy from BlackMarket.

Back Market I just bought a refurbished iPhone advertised as "mint condition" from them and paid extra for FedEx 2-day shipping as I urgently need it

I just bought a refurbished iPhone advertised as "mint condition" from them and paid extra for FedEx 2-day shipping as I urgently need it. My order and payment went through and one day later I just got confirmation the seller shipped it using normal *** mail. According to *** tracking, they haven't even picked it up yet! I tried to contact Back Market via their website but there is actually no option to speak/call/chat/email them... What the heck!? They literally offer NO CUSTOMER SERVICE! So, I paid extra for fast delivery and the seller sent it using normal *** shipping and there is no one to speak to? First time order will also be the last! Now I just hope the phone will be in a good state (I asked for a mint one, so if it goes like the shipping, it won't be...) I went for it because of the good reviews on *** but finding out there is no way to contact them is defo a no-go for future purchases! Buyers, be aware of this! Update 1: phone was shipped with standard *** shipping and not the 2-days expedited shipping I paid for and delivery date is now after the weekend (I ordered on a Tuesday) which is highly inconvenient as I needed the phone for this weekend. I contacted the seller and asked for at least a refund of the shipping price. NOT happy! Update 2: Seller contacted me and is happy to refund the shipping cost, so I raised the score to 2 stars. *** did a good job for once and I received the phone today. The phone was poorly packaged (thrown in a cardboard box on a little plastic holder but no real protection or way to ensure the phone would stay steady during shipping) and I'm just glad it wasn't damaged in transit (bear in mind we're talking about a $700 phone if brand new, $500 refurbished). Phone works fine but I paid for a "mint" refurbished one and clearly, the phone is far from mint. The screen itself is spotless but there are many scratches all over the phone's body and the camera's lens is damaged on the side. I'm just glad I got it on time and it actually works but I won't re-order from Backmarket.com. Lack of real customer service (no phone line or way to contact anyone) and sellers who clearly couldn't be bothered, the experience is far from being the best or satisfactory, especially when you buy something that pricey. Update 3: I am lowering my rating from 2 stars to 1 as I just had another bad surprise with that phone. I tried to take a few pictures and realized there were dots all over the pictures. I cleaned the camera lens with a lens cleaner spray and a shammy and tried to take pictures again only to have the same results. There are dark dots all over the place because the lens is scratched and damaged. How can someone sell a phone like this as mint. Clearly, no quality control checks were made before the phone was sent! I am not happy at all! Update 4: Seller came back to me offering a $30 partial refund on a phone they sold for $500 advertised as mint when it was truly worth $300 max! Total and complete crook! If you buy from BackMarket.com and your seller name is ***, I would advise you to run away and buy from another seller, this seller is a complete and utter conman! I will seek legal actions if they do not come with a better partial refund offer and will defo make a complain with the Complaintsboard.com! Do yourself a favour and stay away from backmarket.com.

Back Market IPhone XR Phone

In the month of February 2023 I purchased an iPhone XR for my son's birthday from Back Market with a price tag of $235.34. And my son didn't even have the phone a month when one day my son was gonna change phone case the screen just came off. So knowing they sold me a phone that was defective and they refuse to make it right and now I just received it back from them and phone won't power on. When I sent it in for repairs it was in working order but when I got it back it won't power on. I feel scammed and betrayed they stoled $235.54 from me and all I'm left with is a worthless iPhone that was trash from day 1 and they new it that's so wrong what ever happened to the customer is always right not scammed shame on Back Market.

Desired outcome: A Phone that is actually functional and is not half way damaged worth at least the $235.54 I payed for and that last longer than 30 working days would be nice

Back Market Backmarket

I am FURIOUS. I have written to the CEO 8 times about a faulty laptop I paid a lot of money for. I escalated the complaint as the 'customer service' team was of no help. I was also sold a different model to the one ordered.

The CEPO hasn't bothered to acknowledge my concerns. I also complained through Signal Consol. Backmarket saw my complaint but havent bothered to respond. where do I take this now please?

Desired outcome: I want a full refund and an apology from the CEO

Back Market Beware of Back Market's Refund Process: A Cautionary Tale

Wow, I recently bought a refurbished phone from Back Market on 2/19/22 and boy oh boy, it was a breeze to deal with them! They even have an offer wherein you can trade in your old phone for a refund, which was super convenient for me because I'm always looking to save some cash.

When I got the phone, it looked as good as new! It's amazing how they refurbish these phones to a point wherein they're almost brand new. Then I sent in my old phone, and after Back Market confirmed that it was still in great condition, they sent me an email with a form to fill out for the return. But here's where things got a little scary for me - they asked for my bank account number AND the last digits of my social security number - what the heck!

I mean, I get that they need my bank account number to issue me a refund, but do they really need the last digits of my social security number too? I don't think so. And what's worse, there was no information in their Terms and Conditions that said they would require this information. I mean, come on! I responded to their emails multiple times saying I wasn't comfortable with giving them that info and asked if they could use an alternate electronic payment method like Paypal, Venmo, or Apple Pay, or simply just refund my credit card or send me a check. But I didn't get any response from them for several emails.

And get this, when I finally called customer service, the representative in India hung up on me! Talk about rude! I don't feel comfortable dealing with a company that treats their customers like that.

Another thing that made me uneasy is the amount of information they would have had access to if I had given them that information - my name, address, email address, phone number, bank account number, and the last four digits of my social security number. It's scary to think about a big database of that kind of info being out there, right?

I've already disputed the refund amount with my bank, but I feel it's important to warn other potential customers about this issue. If you're planning to trade in your phone, be cautious when dealing with Back Market. I would highly recommend you go somewhere else to avoid any unpleasant surprises.

Back Market Disappointed with Back Market's MacBook Pro purchase and customer service

So, I decided to go for a 2019 MacBook Pro from Back Market after reading some solid reviews. And let me tell you, I was stoked! The thing looked super fresh when it arrived - I had been waiting on a laptop this awesome since I got my very first MacBook (which, admittedly, was more years ago than I care to say).

But, unfortunately, the set-up process was a total bummer. Long story short, the dang laptop wouldn't connect to Wi-Fi. I called up an Apple tech and sat on hold forever, only to have him tell me at the end of the hour-long convo that I should take it in somewhere.

So, I went to Melrose Mac the next day, and the specialist there was like, "Yo, this thing is whack. Take it back to Back Market, they're known for being legit." I had to put the MacBook back to its factory settings so I could send it back to Back Market, and that took me TWO HOURS, dude.

Fast forward a bit - I shipped it back to the seller, Sprout, in Texas. But then a few days later I got an alert saying that the MacBook had been refused and was on its way back to me. I tried talking to Back Market customer service, but it was basically like talking to a sugar-coated brick wall - lots of sugar water, no actual help.

I refused delivery when it showed up again...but then things got real confusing. The seller was all, "We didn't refuse it, the heck are you talking about? It must be UPS's fault." I wasn't buying it. A few days later, I got an email saying that the MacBook couldn't be fixed or replaced, and I did get my refund finally, but it'd been a whole mess of headaches and stress and I don't think I'd shop with Back Market again. They turned what should've been an exciting purchase into a huge stress fest.

Back Market My Nightmare Experience with Back Market: Overpriced, Faulty, and Horrible Customer Service

Hey guys, I just wanted to share my experience with Back Market. I initially went to the site to try and find a cheaper option for buying an iMac, but boy did I end up with more headaches than savings!

First of all, when I received the iMac it came with a wireless mouse and wired keyboard that weren't even compatible with the Mac (major bummer). Then, when I tried to turn it on it took over TEN minutes just to start up. And that wasn't even the worst part! After finally getting it started up, the Wi-Fi wouldn't stay on for more than a few minutes at a time before disconnecting randomly. I tried all sorts of things to fix it, but nothing worked.

At this point, I decided to return the iMac and that's when I hit my next roadblock thanks to Back Market's "Free Return". While the item was shipped to me using FedEx, they provided me with a USPS label for returns that was only good for items weighing LESS than 14 ounces. The iMac, however, weighs a whopping 5KG! I ended up having to pay $102 at the post office just to send it back.

As if all of that wasn't enough, when Back Market received the iMac back from me they claimed that there was a dent and a shattered corner that wasn't there when I shipped it out. They wouldn't even contact the carrier for a claim and instead chose to send it back to me! The nerve!

All in all, I lost $500 on this iMac and got NOTHING in return except headaches and frustration. I would strongly advise you to save yourself the time, money, and headache by skipping Back Market and buying your electronics directly from trusted retailers like Best Buy or Apple themselves. And be sure to steer clear of SPRY, the seller I had the misfortune of dealing with.

Anyway, that's my two cents on Back Market. Stay safe out there, y'all.

Back Market Buyer Beware: Back Market Refurbished Products Review

Hey there folks! Listen up because I've got some important news about Back Market (backmarket.com) and their refurbished products. Now, don't get me wrong, they've got a lot of good reviews and most of the time things go smoothly. But brace yourselves because if there are issues, the resolution process might take weeks or even end up costing you more. And trust me, they don't seem to take accountability as seriously as they should.

Let me tell you about my recent experience with Back Market. I ordered an Apple Watch, pretty cool, right? But guess what? It came LOCKED! Ugh, frustration level 1000. Selling Apple used products 101 tells us that we need to check if the previous owner has unlinked the device from their Apple ID, or else it will be useless to the new owner. And obviously, that wasn't done in my case. I mean, come on now, if they didn't do this basic check, how can we trust that they did any other inspection before sending the item? Not cool, Back Market, not cool.

So what were my options? Well, their solutions were a bit dubious. Option one: Print a label and ship the item back - USPS priority mail which takes up to 5 business days. Then I have to wait an additional 48 hours for them to process the return. After that, I wait for them to ship me a similar item and pray they did the due diligence this time. Ha! With this option, I'm looking at adding anywhere from 2 to 3 weeks on top of what I already waited to get what I paid for. Ain't nobody got time for that!

Option two: Return and place a new order. However, in the meantime the $20 coupon I used does not work anymore. And to add insult to injury, the SAME exact item with the same exact conditions costs $42 more now on their website. That means this will cost me over $60 more for a fault not of my own. I mean, seriously?

And what did Back Market have to say for themselves? They just claim they have no control over the vendor's process and pricing. Really, Back Market? You put your big shiny logo on your website, taking all the credit for offering wonderful refurbished items to people at "great" prices. And now that there's an issue, you're claiming to have no control over the vendor? Seems a bit too convenient for me.

So guys, be cautious when ordering from Back Market. They might have some great offerings, but they need to step up their customer service game. As for me, I'm off to search for a more reliable option.

Back Market Back Market Review: Stolen Laptop, Poor Customer Service, and 2.5 Months for a Refund. Don't Waste Your Time or Money!

I gotta say, my experience with Back Market was a total disaster. I wanted to get a new laptop for work, so I thought I'd give them a try since they had some pretty good deals. Boy, was that a mistake!

First of all, the laptop they sent me turned out to be stolen. Can you believe that? When I reached out to Back Market, they didn't even want to take the blame. They told me they were just a "platform" where people could sell electronics, but that's just a load of crap. The laptop had a theft protection message on it, telling me that someone knew my location. I had to call the police and turn it over to them. I was so frustrated and angry - I had just received the laptop and thought everything would be fine.

To make matters worse, I explained to Back Market that I needed a laptop for work and asked for a refund or a new laptop. They took their sweet time finding me a replacement and I had to keep reminding them to make sure it was in working condition before sending it to me. Meanwhile, I was out of work and lost my place to live. It was a total nightmare.

Finally, they sent me a laptop that looked exactly like the one I had bought, but guess what? It wouldn't stay connected to the internet. I mean, come on! How hard is it to check if a laptop actually works before you send it out?

I found a laptop locally and asked if Back Market could just refund me after I sent the laptop back. But they were super rude and just kept saying they had already tried their best. Yeah, right! Like sending me another useless laptop was trying your best. They told me I would just have to wait for the laptop to reach them and then go through the refund process. It took a whopping 2 and a half months to finally sort everything out and get my money back.

During that time, I lost my job, almost lost my home, and had a really hard time without a laptop to work on. And you know what's the worst part? Back Market wouldn't even accept any fault. They just kept saying they were a "platform" and refused to give me any instructions on how to leave a review on their website. Can you believe that? They knew I was going to tell it like it is and didn't want people to know what kind of shady business they're running.

So let me tell you this, my fellow future-shoppers: don't waste your time and money with Back Market. They don't care about you or your hard-earned cash. They'll send you stolen electronics and then try to weasel their way out of it. It's just not worth the risk.

Back Market Beware of Wireless Boss: Disappointing Phone Purchase Experience

So you've been searching for a good deal on a phone and you stumbled upon Wireless Boss. I have to tell you, my experience with them was less than stellar. I ordered a phone from them on March 24th and the first one that arrived on March 29th was not up to par. It was supposed to be in "good" condition, meaning no scratches on the screen, but it had scuffs, scratches, and even a crack. I had to send it back and it took five business days for them to receive it.

When they sent me a replacement, they assured me that it was "carefully picked, packed, and shipped in very good condition." Well, that turned out to be a lie because the second phone was just as bad or even worse. The screen was all scratched up and scuffed, just like the first one. At this point, I was done with Wireless Boss and decided to send it back once again.

Their customer service tried to give me an excuse, saying that Back Market (the platform they were selling on) was changing their grades and descriptions, and that their shipping department was having a hard time adjusting. But I don't think that's a valid excuse. Their grading system is simple: "good" means no scratches on the screen. If there are scratches, it's not "good," plain and simple.

What's even more frustrating is that they still have the same phone for sale on their website, even using the same grading system. But when I asked for a replacement device in "excellent" condition, they said it's no longer available. It makes me wonder if they're being dishonest or just really bad at their jobs.

Overall, I would not recommend Wireless Boss. If you're looking for a good deal on electronics, I suggest checking out Back Market directly. They have a wider selection and seem to have more reliable sellers. Don't fall for the false promises of Wireless Boss - there are better options out there.

Back Market Buyer Beware: Back Market - Save Yourself the Hassle and Skip this Shady Company!

Listen up folks, I gotta warn you about this company called Back Market (backmarket.com). If you're thinkin' 'bout buyin' a phone from them, you might wanna reconsider. It's like buyin' a device from a shady guy on the street corner. If you end up with a faulty phone like I did, they ain't gonna do nothin' to help ya get your money back or hold the seller accountable. It's a real bummer, 'cuz when you're shoppin' on Amazon or Ebay you got some protection, ya know?

Lemme give ya the rundown of what happened to me. I bought a Samsung S10 Plus from this seller called WHITE HAWK, based in Birmingham, on the Back Market site. Phone arrived quick, but when I tried to use it, the battery was droppin' a whopping THIRTY percent every twenty minutes! Ain't no one got time for that.

Now here's the kicker: the seller described the phone as bein' in excellent condition. Now, I ain't no genius, but a phone with a battery that's completely shot ain't what I'd call "excellent condition". So I messaged the seller on Back Market, askin' for a refund. But they never responded, even though Back Market said I'd hear back within 24 hours.

Getting desperate, I even messaged Back Market on Instagram and asked them to help out. They messaged the seller on my behalf, but still no response. Back Market won't do anythin' else for ya – they ain't gonna step in and make things right.

Realizin' that I'd been scammed, I took the phone to a repair shop. And boy, was it a mess. Not only was the battery all messed up, but the repair guy told me that some super glue had been used to try and fix the battery. And the piece you can check for water damage? Yeah, that was totally removed by the seller. The repair guy agreed with me – I'd been totally scammed. And Back Market? Useless.

So listen to me: do NOT buy from this company or their platform. They're both skeezy and unethical. To pull this kinda stunt, especially during a recession and right before Christmas, is downright disgusting. Save yourself the hassle and skip this one, folks.

Back Market Back Market Review: Do NOT Use Them - Non-Genuine Phone and Terrible Customer Service

Wow, where do I even begin with my experience with Back Market? Let me start off by saying DO NOT USE them. I learned this the hard way when I purchased a phone from them that they claimed was Apple, but turned out to not be authentic.

Not only that, but they sold me a phone that was supposed to be in good to excellent condition, but it was far from it. The screen and the phone itself never worked properly and I have had nothing but issues since purchasing it. As a self-employed individual, I rely on my phone for work and for my elderly parents to contact me day or night.

To make matters worse, the camera lens was glued on and when I requested a swap, they refused. As if being without a phone for 48-72 hours is even an option when it's my only form of communication for work and family.

I've asked for a replacement, but Back Market is stubborn and unresponsive. It's frustrating that they have taken my money for a non-genuine phone they misled me into purchasing. If they can't sell genuine products with genuine parts, they should be honest about it.

The phone has even called emergency services without prompt which is unacceptable. The truth is they're just trying to save money. When I took the phone to Apple, they confirmed that it wasn't genuine and the issues were due to it not being authentic.

I have sent Back Market a letter as evidence of all the issues I've faced, but they won't budge. It's ridiculous that I even have to consider going to trading standards and citizens' advice when all I wanted was a genuine phone that I paid for.

Long story short, DO NOT USE Back Market. Save yourself time, money, and a headache.

Back Market Disappointing Experience with Back Market: Unlocked Phone Turns Out to be Locked by Sprint

I gotta say, my experience with Back Market was pretty frustrating. I was really excited to get a FULLY UNLOCKED Galaxy S10 Plus from seller Cellfeee, but instead of enjoying my new phone, I ended up wasting two whole weeks dealing with a bunch of BS. Turns out the phone wasn't actually unlocked like it was supposed to be, so I had to spend hours on the phone with my carrier and Samsung trying to fix things.

I was super diligent about checking the IMEI number and making sure the phone was compatible with my carrier (Consumer Cellular), but when I got the phone, I immediately got a message saying it wasn't gonna work. I contacted Cellfeee and they offered to exchange it for another one. I figured that was fair enough, and I even asked them to send me the IMEI number before shipping it out to avoid any more problems.

But then things went from bad to worse. When they sent me the replacement, it was already on its way before I had a chance to verify the IMEI. Turns out that it wasn't compatible either, but when I called Samsung to ask why, they told me that the phone was actually LOCKED by Sprint.

I tried reaching out to both Back Market and Cellfeee to resolve the issue, but I didn't get any helpful responses. Cellfeee eventually gave me a return shipping label, but Back Market just sent me a slap in the face by offering a measly 5% discount on my next order. Like, seriously? That's it?

I even tried calling Back Market's customer service number, but it was pretty much a waste of time. The rep was friendly enough, but she didn't really do anything to help me.

Honestly, if you're thinking about using Back Market, just be prepared to waste a lot of time and not get any real help. It's not worth it in my opinion.

Back Market Review of Back Market Refurbishers: Best4tech vs. Matzuma - My Experience with Ordering a Phone for the Cheapest Condition Option

So, I ordered a phone from Back Market twice. The first time, I went with Matzuma and they took my money, but my order wasn't validated even after two days so I had to cancel. It took a week to get my refund, which was a long time waiting. But, after some thought, I decided to give Back Market another chance because I really needed a new phone, and I went with Best4tech instead.

My experience with Best4tech was a lot better than Matzuma. They validated my order and sent it out just two hours after ordering. However, it took longer than what they advertised to deliver. I ordered on a Friday morning, and it said 48-hour delivery, but they didn't include weekends in that time. So it came on a Tuesday instead of by Sunday. But that was kind of on me for ordering on a Friday when I knew that weekends don't count.

When I finally received the phone, it was in fair condition, considering I paid for the cheapest condition option. There were no visible scratches on the screen or the phone, just a small dent on the edge at the back, which was hardly noticeable. The camera lens had a bit of wear and tear, but it didn't affect taking pictures, so it was fine.

The only downside was that the speaker was terrible, and I was surprised that it wasn't checked during the refurbishing process. So I contacted Best4tech, and they said I could send the phone back to them through the post for them to fix. But, honestly, I was quite skeptical about this because I had read some horror stories about people not receiving their phones back or not hearing back from the retailers.

Luckily, I checked the phone the day it came and got lucky. There was only one day left on Apple's warranty, which the previous owner must have paid for before selling the phone to Best4tech. So I took the phone to Apple the day before the warranty ended, and they fixed it. Apple checked everything, screen, back, battery, and the only thing that was wrong was the speaker.

At the end of the day, I would recommend using Best4tech rather than some of the other refurbishers on Back Market. The price was relatively good too, considering I paid for the cheapest condition option. For 400 dollars, I got an iPhone 12, and Apple even told me it had been bought a year before, so that was a pretty good deal. But who knows, maybe I just got lucky.

Back Market Ordered Apple Macbook Pro on 06/14, condition not as advertised, issues with return process.

I placed an order for an Apple laptop Macbook Pro on 06/14 and the laptop was listed as excellent condition for the price of $329.65. I received the laptop on 06/24 and found it was not as described. The back and front had marks, and there was a sharp edge on the back top right corner. The screen also had a ding with marks. I contacted the seller for a refund and was provided a return label. After shipping it back, the package was returned to me due to weight issues. The seller sent a new label, but the package got stuck in transit and the delivery address had issues. The seller provided a new address, but the package is now at risk of disposal. I've attached photos of the laptop and the full conversation with the seller. The incorrect address on the label was not my fault. Thank you.

Seller is sending damaged merchandise and not fulfilling the warranty that is listed in the warehouse that I have 30 days to return a product even if I change my mind. Seller send me a broken phone and claim I damaged the product with water, but the phone came like that from the box. I placed order *** and receive the phone in my house, I did not take it out of the box as I just bought it to use as a trade in on the special for new iPhones, one a turned it on I see damage on the screen that looks like a watermark, but anyone that holds the phone in front of you can see this is NOT water damage, it is just a defective screen. Now the seller claims I only had 3 days to change my mind but as I have "damaged" the product that I need to take for repair and I can't return anymore. /

Ordered a phone and had it sent to my mother's house since we were out of town. Once we received the phone and were back in town, opened it and realized the back of the phone had been sent broken. We contacted back market and they asked for pictures and told us how to process a return once they had their information. They gave us a return label, and we sent the phone back. After sending. Got an update saying refund would be processed within 3 days of receiving it back. 2 days later get a message stating that the rep I was talking with made a mistake and that we could not return the phone. I find this crazy, since 1) we covered our *** by sending pictures and making sure everything was OK before returning. I've filed with my credit card company a dispute as we are no longer in possession of the item we were told we were able to return. This company is a joke and forgot to read their own policy before messaging me first. COMPLETE SCAM WEBSITE.

Back Market I ordered an iPhone X 256GB (Order #***) through Back Market

I ordered an iPhone X 256GB (Order #***) through Back Market. The phone displayed a black screen and apple logo and could not restart. The phone was sent back to the Back Market seller BuySaveRepeat twice. The seller confirmed they would "inspect the device, repair the device or replace or refund the order". The first time it was sent, the seller had the opportunity to inspect and examine the phone. The seller confirmed that they had repaired the phone and would be sending it back. The seller even detailed the repair that "to solve the problem our repair team had to reset the phone because they downloaded new software". When the phone was received, the same issue persisted. The seller apologized for not repairing it correctly, requested we send it back and offered a discount on a future purchase. We sent it back to the seller a second time. While in the possession of the seller for a few days we were shocked to receive a response stating the damage falls outside the warranty. The excuse provided is completely unacceptable, as the issue had been initiated with the seller over a month ago. Further, the device was not sent back in a "damaged or oxidized condition". When first sent, the seller had an opportunity to inspect and examine the device. While it was out of our possession and in the seller's possession, there was no mention of any type of damage that fell outside of the warranty. In fact, the seller stated they had repaired the device and even provided a description of that repair. The seller then sent it to us after being "repaired". If there was truly any "damage falling outside of the warranty" it would have been caused while in the possession of the seller or during the course of "repair".Back Market had stated that if repair isn't possible, the seller will send you a replacement if not you'll receive a refund". However, up to this point Back Market has been unhelpful.

Hello. I purchased an iPhone from Backmarket on July 7, 2022, for $259.53 and I am experiencing issues with it. The individual handling my case is not providing the necessary assistance and is falsely claiming that I received the phone while I was abroad, which prevented me from inspecting it. I returned last Monday and was met with disappointment. The device arrived in poor condition, with a cracked rear lens and excessive dirt. After a few days of use, the bottom of the screen became unresponsive, forcing me to rely on the accessibility button. Upon contacting customer service, I was informed that due to the phone being in my possession for over 30 days, a refund was not possible according to Backmarket policies. However, after reaching out to Backmarket directly, they clarified that the seller does have the authority to issue a refund, which leads me to believe I was misled. Since I have already purchased a new phone for work, the defective one is of no use to me, even if repaired. Returning it would result in a complete loss for me. I urge you to address this issue promptly. My order number is with Backmarket. I appreciate your assistance and wish you a wonderful day.

I purchased a MacBook Air. The far right of the screen would not display on the MacBook. I tried updating the computer to see if it would resolve. Computer had a year warranty. The company would not stand behind it. They sold me a broken device with a warranty and refused to fix it or refund it. I paid more to get the best quality device they have.

Back Market I bought an iPhone from this company in November

I bought an iPhone from this company in November . After 2 months use, I took the phone from its protective case to clean it, and saw the screen had popped completely out of the phone and was loose. Suspecting a swollen battery, which is guaranteed not to happen by this company which claims its sellers install brand new batteries in all phones, I messaged the seller and sent photos. They asked me send it back for repair, which I did. Then, I received an email accusing me of taking the phone to someone not professional who tampered with it, which supposedly caused the screen to pop out. At no point during the time the phone was in my possession, did I have any other person use or attempt to fix the phone. I explained this to the seller who repeated their message. I escalated the issue to Back Market support who echoed the same message. Again, I can verify that at no point did anyone tamper with the phone while I had it. Obviously, the merchant sent me a phone that had already been tampered with, and is trying to blame the faults on me. Back market, meanwhile, refuses to remedy the situation and is siding with their shady seller. Im out over $400 and have no working phone for all my trouble. Unbelievably, this is actually the second faulty phone Ive received from a back market merchant (the first didnt even have a functioning speaker OR microphone).Back market claims to guarantee products for a year. in this case, they are siding with their seller who sent me an already damaged phone, blaming the damage on me, and sending it back to me without repair, let alone refunding what I paid for it. Now, the service representatives have ceased responding to my messages. Im extremely disappointed in this company and this entire service experience. I dont want the phone back. All I am asking for is a refund for the cost of the phone so I can close this chapter and never buy from this company again.

I bought an iphone 11 64 gb, I've been waiting for the product to arrive for a few days, but today I received an email that I created a refund request and the product was canceled. (I have not created any refund request.) My refund has not been made and they say it will be made within 10 days. What kind of nonsense is this? I am urgently waiting for answer.

Hello, I purchased an Iphone 11 and insurance 3 weeks ago from here for over 450$. Unfortunately when it arrived, it was defective and not in the condition stated when purchased. The battery was diluted to 75%, which is less than the 80% offered. I have reached out to the company to try and find a solution, but the seller has REFUSED to offer any workable solution. I need my phone as I use it for work everyday. I have tried to ask for the price of the phone battery back so that I could replace it, which is listed as 69$ by Apple, but they have refused to provide that. I want my 450$ back in its entirety, or a partial refund of 69$ so that I can get my battery replaced.

I placed an order for two items during the Massachusetts tax holiday, but I was charged sales tax. Upon contacting the company to ask about a refund of the sales tax, I was informed that their system does not accommodate tax holidays. I explained that tax holidays are mandatory, but when they refused to issue a refund, I canceled my order.

The day after canceling, the company shipped one of the items anyway. They advised me to reject the delivery and ensure the courier marked it as such upon arrival, which I complied with. The company has since confirmed that the item was rejected and remained in their possession.

Despite this, my refund was not processed as promised. They initially cited a delay in processing the return. When I reminded them that they should not have shipped the item in the first place and that it was still with their courier, they responded that their policy was to wait until the item was back in their hands before issuing a refund.

Today, I was informed that the item has been lost. The company is now requesting that I complete a form and submit a copy of my driver's license to receive a refund. At this point, I am not willing to provide my driver's license to the company and have communicated my discomfort with their request.

Back Market Back Market (BM) is not adhering to their Limited Warranty Agreement (***)

Back Market (BM) is not adhering to their Limited Warranty Agreement (***). I had a simple problem with my computer, checked the warranty exclusions and terms, and can document that I followed their return procedure and that none of the exclusions apply. *** Refurbished (Seller) contacted me at first saying the *** did not apply because of signs of physical damage as the case of the key is off" and also, strangely, that This unit is currently outside of warranty. The defect was the key falling off and it is definitely within the warranty period. I thought BM would support me as promised in their FAQs: their agent agreed there is no damage and the warranty applies. The *** makes no mention of physical damage and I have documented that there is no damage from abuse or neglect. As specified in the ***, It is Sellers burden to demonstrate that any damage is either not covered by this ***, which they have not done. BM now claims that Seller can determine whether the product is excluded from warranty repairs (there is no mention of this in the ***, or in any of the FAQs FWIW), and vaguely suggesting that maybe Seller could make the repair at my expense. But now Seller is refusing to repair the laptop even at my expense because this unit was received without authorization, even though I carefully followed all of BMs return procedures. This is clearly runaround, with Seller hoping this process is too much of a hassle for me to pursue, and BM providing none of the support they are bound to in their *** or that they promise in their FAQs. In addition, we are now 3 days into the promised 5-day turnaround (or 3-day, as shown in the chat). I returned the unit in time for the *** repairs to be made and the computer returned to me by September 12, but this *** dispute makes it unlikely that I will have the computer back by then. At this point, Seller and BMs actions constitute a breach of the *** contract.

Back Market sold me a phone that went out under warranty. They tried to refund the purchase, but the credit card I purchased it on has since been closed. I made them away of this before the refund, and now on 4 additional occasions. They cant figure out how to send money to another account, so theyre in the process of stealing $800 from me.

I purchased an unlocked Galaxy S20 from Back Market vendor GM Deals in December, which was advertised as compatible with multiple carriers. By March 2022, I realized the phone was blacklisted as stolen when I encountered issues with WIFI calling and sought technical support. GM Deals accepted the return of the phone but replaced it with another that was incompatible with my carrier's network. Upon returning the second phone, they offered me a carrier-locked S20 instead of a refund, which was the policy of Back Market for situations without a suitable replacement.

I requested a phone similar to my original purchase, but GM Deals and Back Market returned the same non-functional phone, claiming it had no issues. My repeated complaints to Back Market via email were unproductive until I spoke with a customer service representative who offered me a choice between a refund and a carrier-locked phone. Feeling worn out, I opted for the carrier-locked phone, which was of lesser value, hoping to salvage some worth from my $460 investment.

After shipping the phone back, GM Deals informed me that the phone now had a crack on the back, which they claimed voided the warranty. I had not damaged the phone. They sent back the same defective and now damaged phone to me again. The right course of action would have been to replace the defective phone with a comparable one or provide a refund on the first return. Despite my clear explanation, they may argue that the phone was damaged, but the full context shows that GM Deals and Back Market avoided fulfilling their obligation to refund my money or provide a functional phone.

Back Market When the representative called me from the iCloud department and she saw how badly the phone glitched she was going to go send it to the tech

When the representative called me from the iCloud department and she saw how badly the phone glitched she was going to go send it to the tech department to see if it could be repaired or if it would just be replaced or refunded. It was then in there that I told the rep please do not refund me the money for the phone. The bank account was my mothers bank account that has been closed down due to her death. I told her that I need the money place does a store credit and I will just order a new iPhone 11 right away.Well I received an email a couple days ago that said congratulations weve sent your refund to your bank. I sent an email response and I figured I didnt get a response from that because maybe I didnt go to actual person. So I called and I spoke to someone at the iCloud department and they told me they would request a phone call back for me.That was a couple days ago and I have not received a phone call back. I did get a phone call from my moms bank asking for her and I let her know that my mom had passed away but by chance was this a regards to a refund issued by back market. She did let me know yes and I asked what I could do to be able to access my refund. She told me that she could not because it was sent via my mom from her bank account. However my mom has passed away so theres not much I can do now. I asked her if she would automatically send back the money. However *** let me know that that is against prosperities policy. She said that if the refund wasnt to be sent in the company back market would handle it on their side and hung up on me. So guess what I bet I wont hear anything from back market. When I just need to be able to have a phone and quit going down to my neighbors to borrow the phone. This is very embarrassing. I have used back market for many years and have bragged about that pacifically with his neighbor. This neighbor knows that Im going through this with back market. Call *** order no.

Back Market I bought an IPhone XS phone for $364.44

I bought an IPhone XS phone for $364.44. It arrived on 12/1 and functioned well until late February when I noticed charging issues. I tried a new charger, but the problem persisted, sometimes charging less than 50%. Soon, I had trouble with call audio and the ringtone, so I switched to vibrate mode. On 3/21, I reached out to the reseller to return it. After backing up my data, I returned the phone on 3/28 using the provided return label. I packed it in a bubble-wrapped envelope inside an Amazon box with the necessary documents. I wrapped the box, attached the label, and dropped it off, getting a receipt. On 4/1, I was told they received spices, not a phone. I filed an affidavit on 4/5. Despite their 'investigation,' I'm without a phone. On 4/15, Back Market said I'd get a refund confirmation, but by 4/27, nothing. Calls to customer service on 4/25 and 4/26 were fruitless. They offered a code to buy another phone on 4/26, but I've lost trust in their service and just want my credit card refunded.

Back Market I purchased a refurbished 2019 13" Macbook Pro in "good" condition for just shy of $800

I purchased a refurbished 2019 13" Macbook Pro in "good" condition for just shy of $800. Within three days of receipt, it became clear to me that there was a virus on the system. In addition, then RAM and SSD began failing. *** advertises that when confronted with a problem that is recorded immediately after it is seen, you will receive a response within 24 hours. It took me 48 hours and three emails to get a substantive response, each one laden with threats against me, i.e., "... Once the item arrives at our warehouse and if our warehouse deems the operating system has been changed. That will fall under tampering and will void the warranty that is provided." (Sic.) That is the second sentence from the second email the seller sent. Each subsequent email interaction came with some other form of unveiled threat. Indeed, it took two more emails for "***," the seller, to admit that the issues were caused by the fact that the rebuild did not use OEM (original equipment manufacturer) parts. In that email, they said if I dared to take it to an Apple Store, that is, where Apple-trained professionals deal with Apple equipment, to see what kind of *** parts they used in building this masterpiece, it would void the warranty. Specifically, "If you were to take the item to Apple for them to confirm them to confirm if the parts are OEM, they will have to open the MacBook up. That will fall under tampering and void your warranty."What seller of refurbished equipment, OEM or not, is afraid of the buyer knowing the types of non-OEM parts used in the refurb? Not a reputable one, for sure. Steer clear of ***, unless your seller is willing to give you a breakdown of the non-OEM parts, where they were sourced, etc. STEER VERY CLEAR of "***," a common seller on ***.***'s warranty, quality assurance documents, etc., are not worth the bits it takes to load them. You're getting a Tandy 100 in a MacBook shell casing.
