Having never received a single confirmation of billing, nor a response to a request to cancel our account in both September 2022 and September 2023, barefootstudent.com billed our American Express account $75 per month for 13 months. Confirmation of these billings was never sent by email, and when we requested that the charges be refunded, we received a boilerplate response stating that they could provide a $75 refund a "courtesy."

American Express, agreeing with our dispute, processed a chargeback for three more months worth of these illegal charges, but barefootstudent.com still owes our business $600.

We just hired someone who found our ad on Barefoot Student. Worked great for us.

This is a total ripoff and they continued to charge my card monthly. They are grifters.

They have wonderful candidates responding to the ad, snd excellent customer service. Highly recommended!

Charges with no receipts month after month feels predatory. No phone number or customer service readily available, un manageably bad web interface.

Spammers, they find your ads from other sites and send you an email to try there service. Every time I post a new want ad I get an email from them.

Barefoot Student is a great way to find the best candidates without wasting a lot of time having to go through a lot of resumes and cover letters that are not relevant!

Barefoot Student Inc just emailed everyone in our company our job ad, including the employee we're trying to replace. This is a spam company. Do not do business with this company.

They have been spamming my company for years. Every time I request them to remove us from their database I get emails from a new person. This is not the proper way to do business.

Barefoot Student is used across all departments of our business. It is one of the best hiring tools we have, and since we are a small business it is hard for us to post on our own site for candidates. Having a one-stop job posting site is the best HR solution that a business like us needs!

I wish I could give a zero star review. We decided to give Barefoot Student a try for a month. We paid the $75 and never received an activation email. When I attempted to contact their customer service team to ask about the activation email, I learned that they have no phone number and you can only email them through the message portal on their site. Despite many attempts at communication, no one from Barefoot Student has ever responded. This is either a scam or an extremely poorly exectued business model. Don't give them your money.

Would give 0 stars if possible. I have tried to reach out to this business multiple times through their 'contact request' section on their website (since it is the only form of contact they make available to you). They still have yet to respond to my requests, but continue to make transactions from my company's subscription. I was originally going to switch the employee account that this subscription is attached to, but with such unprofessional negligence, now I want to cancel the subscription overall. There's still no way to do that since they NEVER RESPOND!

I firmly believe that Barefoot Student surpasses other competing job boards by bringing a higher quality candidate to the table. I am a true believer in looking at metrics and I can say without any hesitancy that for almost every single position I work on (or seek candidates for a client company I am working with), the best matched candidates are being provided by Barefoot Student - in addition to a greater number of candidates for me to review, screen, etc. Quality over quality is a good mantra to live by and I see this with Barefoot Student's results for my needs.

ComplaintsBoard.com - you should have some way to verify the 5 star reviews listed here because I am fairly sure they are not clients, but from Barefoot Student itself. I agree with the other 1 star reviews. This is a spam company. I signed up with them originally in October. They require you to give them a credit card which they use to charge you monthly but say that you can cancel at any time. And, when you try and cancel, they are extremely hard to get a hold of. I left numerous messages. It took me over 6 months to finally get the charges to stop. AND I did not get one applicant for the one job that posted. For that same job I received over 60 applications in 2 days from Indeed.com another hiring service. Now whenever I post a job on indeed I get an email saying "try Barefoot Student to post your job." Ugh - such an unscrupulous company trying to poach from another company. DO NOT us e this company.

Posted an ad and have been trying to reach them to cancel the subscription but their website in totally unresponsive.

I reached out to Barefoot to cancel my subscription as I've never seen my ad posted for the past couple of months. I've never heard from them.

I have been charged the same amount of $75 for the past 4 months each. This was not stated in the sign-up and it still not stated on their website.

I was charged $75 for this service on June 14th after signing up on June 9th.I have no way to access the platform, or what I paid for. The product is not usable.I've asked for a refund and have not heard back.

I made an account and the name it was under was *** now I cannot get into my account I dont know if its because the email was wrong or something else. If the email was wrong it might have been *** and if that's the case I want it changed to

I've requested multiple times within their portal to have my membership canceled with confirmation my account was canceled on 2/12. On 2/14 I was charged $75 again, and every month thereafter. I've contacted my credit card company to dispute the charges, credit issued by Barefootstudent for March & April, then they continue charging me in May. Within my account login menu there's a confirmation I've included as a screenshot confirming the cancellation and date. They owe me for February and now May. Shady.

Early Feb 2021 I created an account for job postings, Once I submitted my payment the website redirects me to the home page. The account wasn't fully created so I created another account and charged twice and also never received any receipt and documentation that the account had been created and paid for. I have tried to contact the company my times through the website and have received no response. I have stated to them that I need the first charge for the account creation refunded and my company requires a receipt for the other charge for the account creation and have received no response. I have been trying to reach out to their contact center for almost two months now with no responses or any action taken.

I filed complaint Case #: ***. This case was closed when the business responded asking me to send them a digital invoice to business[at]barefootstudent.com for them to refund the rest of the money. I have sent them 4 invoices and they are yet to refund the rest of the amount. I get no responses to this email address Below is their last scam response saying that they will refund.. This message is regarding Complaint ID # ***- Barefootstudent.com Hi Bernard Mallala! I understand that you are concerned about the auto renewal of your Employer Membership. All subscriptions automatically renew until canceled, and this feature was clearly listed on the enrollment page when you joined BarefootStudent.com. Many members find this feature useful as they like the assurance of having a community of students available whenever they need help. We typically do not offer refunds outside of 60 days. We have however made an exception and refunded the last 6 months worth of charges. We would also be willing to offer a refund on the remaining amount, but you will have to send a digital invoice to [protected]@barefootstudent.com. Our payment system, and most credit card companies as well, simply cannot refund payments outside of 190 days. Thanks! Barefoot Student
