Purchased a fiberglasss pool from this highly recommended company about 1 year ago. It leaks several hundred gallons per day. I have called everyone and every phone number I come across and no one will answer or return my call.
Looks like the 15 year warranty is a joke and so is the representative J.J.Judy. Hope this catches up with you.
I have to spend thousands now to dig it up and find leaks before it trashes the foundation of my home.
The complaint has been investigated and resolved to the customer’s satisfaction.
I bought a poop last August from Barrier Reef Pools in Perris California. I like the pool. The owners Mark Wolfe and his wife are the absolute worst to deal with. He switched inferior products on us. He was late with everything. His installers were a joke. What was supposed to be a 4 week instal ended up being 3 months and went from $30K to 70K. The cement around the pool is now cracking. They put in a rail that is rusting in the pool. They don't answer the phone. Don't return calls. There emails are returned. Buyers be ware! Do your homework before buying. I unfortunately got bit by his golden tongue and never checked. When I did I found that he was written up by the contractors board for abandonment, exceeded contract amount, contract without a license, departure from plans, violation of building codes, aiding and abetted non-licensee, wilful or fraudulent act, cotracted out of classification, employed non reg.salesperson and violated ALL of the hone improvement contract subsections and his construction company filed for bankruptcy. This is Barrier Reef Pools representative.
Barrier Reef Pools is a materials supplier, like Home Depot. NOT A CONTRACTOR.
You built your pool as an owner builder. You took 3 months to build it. We always answer our phones and answer emails.
Your expenses went up due to extra digging to move your project away from your septic tank, nice handrails, the city requiring a huge retaining wall, electric to your existing spa, a golf mound in the flood plane, lots of concrete decking (not cement).
Like Mr. Silberbergs posting states, "I like the pool". That's what we sell, great pools.
If products were changed, it was to upgrade you. Why did you not send it back?
We do our best to keep our customers very happy. We have many many many happy customers. Call us sometime. We will answer the phone and do our best to get you a great pool and a competitive price
I am so sorry for Mr. Silberberg. Dealing with Mr. and Mrs. Wolfe was a total nightmare. Fortunately for us his crew was a no show and we were able to salvage the pool they delivered. We had to find an excavator, crane and pool crew on a moments notice. They would not accept a bank transfer of money or a credit card for the delivery. They have yet to send us our final receipt. The only pool warranty is in the brochure from Barrier Reef. The money we paid them to order our automatic pool cover was not given to the manufacturer for several weeks and caused additional delays, expenses and worry. After checking into his past we found numerous construction complaints, his license had been revoked and all the issues that Mr. Silberberg makes mention of. I was bitten by the silver tongue as well. We will be happy to document this to anyone wishing to check into or testify against these two.
STAY AWAY!
I just had a barrier reef pool installed, and it is not level, it actually sags down on one side in the middle over an inch. My concern is stress cracks in the future ... Also as a result of the unlevel pool the concrete deck has been poured where it drains back toward the pool. WHICH of these two issues should i be more concerned about ?
This is the worse company to deal with they sell a counterfeit pool. I contacted Barrier Reef Pools Australia and was told they have nothing to do with Marc (Mark) Wolff (Wolfe). They do have retailers in the US however Marc it not one. What you see in the Brochure is not what you will get. Your new pool will start to crack and peel from the minute you receive it.
Mr. Vargas I feel for your problem and getting taken by these people. Looking at the photo you send showing pool finish it's obviously NOT a Barrier Reef pool 'shell'. Would love to hear that you and others investigate legal redress, might even be a criminal fraud case but you'd know far more than I about that.
