Total rip-off unsafe and horrible experience!
Fact: F Rating on BBB of Tennesse
Fact: No Google reviews because they do not stand by their product.
Fact: They removed any customer reviews on their website because they
don't want you to know how many complaints they get.
Fact: If you Google reviews "Bens Carts" you will see how many people have gotten ripped off by them.
I paid almost $12,000 for a Cater Pro and the cart has not been operational for 1 day since I purchased it over 4 months ago. Dealing with Bens's Carts was a HUGE mistake. Do not mistake all their internet marketing and down-home southern schtick as anything but an attempt to separate you from your money. Cheap, cheap construction. Panels falling off on the drive home! 1 or 2 screws in the sheet metal where there should be 4. On day one there was an explosion and the cart caught on fire because the griddle connection was counter-threaded. They Consistently lie about "pre-inspection" only to admit they were negligent after sending them proof that the cart was poorly constructed. I had two certified mechanics testify the cart was inherently unsafe, poorly designed, and dangerously constructed. Once Ben sells you the cart he is non-existent. He will not return calls or emails. The wheel was not designed for the weight of the cart and kept going flat so I had to rock the cart to get it rolling on a square wheel. The water heater has never functioned and the battery died after using it for a couple of minutes. Their one-year warranty consists of them giving you instructions on how to disassemble the cart and put in new parts to replace the brand-new parts that are defective, They canceled my membership in the Facebook group Vendors United because I tried to warn new people not to purchase their carts from Bens Carts. If anyone else has gotten ripped off like me please let me know-I would like to participate in a lawsuit so that this rip-off does not happen to them. They refer to themselves as "The Hot Dog Mafia" I should have known better, and run away from this company. I am in the process of seeking damages through the Attorney General's office in Tennessee. The single worst experience I have ever had with a product, company, or process.
Disappointing Experience with BensCarts: Delayed Delivery and Missing Parts
I gotta say, I was pretty disappointed with my experience with BensCarts. I was really excited to get my hands on some of their products, but man, did they take forever to get to me. I mean, I get that things can get delayed sometimes, but they didn't even bother to let me know what was going on. And to make matters worse, when I finally did get my equipment, there were some parts missing! What a bummer.
And don't even get me started on their leasing program. Sure, it sounds like a good deal at first, but you end up paying for it even if you don't have the equipment yet. And with the way things were going, who knows when I would have actually gotten it. I definitely wouldn't recommend dealing with this company. I mean, I'd give them a big fat zero if I could.
Game-Changing Cater Pro Cart from BensCarts: A Review
Got myself a Cater Pro catering cart from BensCarts and let me tell you, it's not just any old hot dog cart. This thing is a game changer. It's super easy to use and can handle a ton of different foods, making it stand out from the rest. With this cart, one person can handle a huge amount of business. I've even gone up against full-size catering trucks and left them in the dust. Honestly, I wish I had gotten this cart ages ago!
Disappointing Experience with BensCarts: Delayed Delivery and Poor Customer Service
I recently bought a cart from BensCarts and used their finance company to help me out. I ended up paying $19,000 for an $11,000 cart, but that's just how it goes sometimes. They told me it would take 4 to 6 weeks to build and ship it to me, but it ended up taking 9 weeks. I was pretty frustrated by that, but I was excited to finally get my hands on the cart.
Unfortunately, when I got the cart, I noticed that the water heater was busted up. I tried to get in touch with someone to help me out, but it was a struggle. The lady in the office was really nice and tried to help me, but the other department was really slow to get back to me. It was a real pain in the neck.
Overall, I'm not super thrilled with my experience with BensCarts. The cart itself seems fine, but the whole process was a bit of a headache. I wish they had been more upfront about how long it would take to get the cart to me, and I wish they had been more responsive when I had an issue with it. But hey, that's just how it goes sometimes.
Ben's Carts: The Ultimate Solution for Starting Your Own Hot Dog Stand!
Benscarts.com is a really cool website! I was in a tough spot and didn't know what to do. But then my buddy told me about them and all the stuff they got on there. I hit them up and they helped me out with everything I needed to get my own hot dog stand going! I even bought my own hot dog cart from them and it was a really good deal. They shipped it to me and everything went smooth as butter! Thanks to Ben and his crew, I'm back in business and making some cash again!
Disappointing Experience with BensCarts: Poor Customer Service and Product Quality
I recently purchased one of BensCarts hot dog carts from a private owner and I must say, I am not impressed with the experience so far. I have been trying to get this cart approved with AHS, but unfortunately, I have to do a $1000 upgrade and it still hasn't been approved. On top of that, I needed a propane part that I had to pay extra for 3-5 day delivery, but it's been 11 days and I still haven't received it. I have tried to call the company many times, but they never answer the phone. It seems like this company only cares about taking your money and then they are done with you.
I would not recommend buying this cart from BensCarts. However, I have found another company that will ship the part right away. I will be doing other postings on where you can get parts for this cart.
Overall, my experience with BensCarts has been frustrating and disappointing. It's a shame because I was really excited to start my hot dog cart business, but now I am left with a cart that I can't even use. I hope that the company can improve their customer service and quality of their products in the future.
BensCarts Review: False Advertising and Poor Customer Service
I recently made a purchase from BensCarts (benscarts.com) in September 2022 for a hot water heater that was advertised on hotdogstore.com. The cost was $197, which I thought was a fair price. However, when I received the product, it was completely different from what was shown in the online video made by Keith. I was disappointed and frustrated because the heater I received was made of cheap silver metal, and I am having trouble finding fittings and parts for it.
I tried to contact Keith, who made the video, but he was not helpful at all. He seemed to be a smart person, but he was not willing to listen to my concerns. I also emailed Ben, the owner of BensCarts, but I did not receive a response from him. I was very disappointed with the lack of customer service from this company, and I feel like I was scammed.
I also watched a video made by Duggs Dogg's, who reviewed the same hot water heater that I purchased. I thought I was safe from a scam because of this review, but I was wrong. The product I received was a silver metal piece of crap, and it was nothing like what was advertised on the website. This is false advertising, and I do not recommend this company to anyone.
It seems like several other customers have had similar experiences with BensCarts, and I am not surprised. This company is a con artist, and I would not trust them with my money again. I am very disappointed with my purchase, and I wish I had read more reviews before making a purchase from this company. Fuvm!
Disappointing Experience with Benscarts.com's Cash Cow Cart: A Review
Me and my hubby, we bought the cash cow from Benscarts.com. The dude we talked to wasn't all that into us as customers and kinda snappy. The cash cow is pretty basic and doesn't have much room for storing stuff and it gets hot like a sauna in there. The top is so hot you can't even put anything on it without it melting or burning. The quality of the cart was also not that great. The shelves inside were all greasy and the sink dividers weren't even glued down. The front wheel was so small it got all torn up in just 3 weeks and bent so we had to replace it. And because they didn't grease it enough, we had to replace the left wheel kit too. It's just not right that we gave our money to a company that doesn't care enough to give us a good product. No thank you, we won't be buying from them again.
Disappointing Experience with BensCarts: Crooked, Shaky, and Poorly Made Cart with No Customer Service
I recently purchased a Big Dog Cart from BensCarts and I have to say, I am not impressed. The cart is built crooked and it shakes back and forth when I pull it. I tried to take it on the highway, but when I reached 45 mph, the bread box doors fell into the bread box. I tried to put them back, but they wouldn't slide. To make matters worse, the wiring is spliced together with black electrical tape and the compartment door to the gas bottle was so difficult to open that I had to use a butter knife. Unfortunately, when I finally got it open, the door hit me in the eye and I ended up with a black eye and a cut.
I have tried to contact BensCarts multiple times to resolve these issues, but they have not returned my calls or emails. It's frustrating because I spent $5500 on this cart, which was all the money I had saved to start a new beginning. I feel like I have been ripped off and taken advantage of.
I am planning on taking a 16-hour round trip drive back to Tennessee to confront Ben and take him to court. It's not fair that he can sell such a poorly made product and then ignore his customers when they have issues. I would not recommend BensCarts to anyone looking for a quality cart.
Disappointed with BensCarts' Stainless Steel Dog Cart - Made in China and Rusts Easily
I recently purchased a big dog cart from BensCarts and I have to say, I'm a bit disappointed. The cart is supposed to be made of stainless steel, but when I looked inside, there was a sticker that said "Made in China." Now, I don't have anything against products made in China, but if I'm paying for a stainless steel cart, I expect it to be made of stainless steel.
The splash guard that BensCarts charged me over a hundred dollars for is also supposed to be stainless steel, but it's Chinese stainless steel, which means it rusts. And let me tell you, that's not good for business. The sinks are also supposed to be stainless steel, but they rust too. It's all Chinese junk. And don't even get me started on the cooking pans. They're all made in China and they rust as soon as you use them. That's not good for anyone's health.
Chinese steel doesn't pass health inspection, so if you get caught using it, you're in trouble. I wouldn't recommend buying any of BensCarts' carts because they're all made of junk Chinese steel. The stuff on my cart started rusting inside my garage before I even used it. And the cart itself is put together cheaply. The cooler that comes with it looks like it came from the dollar store and they ripped the lid off and glued it in. It's definitely not stainless steel.
To be honest, I don't think this cart is worth over $1,000. I feel like I got ripped off. If you're looking for a cart that's actually made of stainless steel and won't rust, I suggest you look elsewhere. Don't waste your money on BensCarts.
