Hello, My name is Dale Couvillier, My wife, Maegan Couvillier bought a car from dealership that was picked up and financed by a financial institution called BHFC Financial Services INC. We have had the car since March 22, 2019. We made all payments on time with the exception when it came to covid 19, when I was laid off at work as well as my wife, she called the loan company and asked to have a 2 payment a month plan implemented in which they agreed was ok, so I guess in those terms no payments where late, all payments where made in the scope of the agreed upon payment structure. On September 8, 2021 the car was towed by a repossession company, we where very confused as to why this happened as our payments where current and our next payment was not and still is not due until September 15, 2021. So we contacted the tow company who informed us that the lien holder asked for the car to be picked up. We called the lien holder who began to tell us we were behind on payment, after discussing our payment history with them they had stated that we where not in fact not behind on payment however that our insurance was not active and that is why it was picked up. This as well was not correct as our insurance was active and enforce on that car since we bought it with no lapses. We sent the lien company all of our records showing the insurance was absolutely active. Moments later my wife received a call from the lien holder and they stated that after careful consideration that they had decided to default my wife's auto loan and would not be returning the car. The company now refuses to take her calls and has blocked all access for her to log into her account. Also we are unable to get the vehicles location so that we may go and get our personal property out of the inside of the car. We were given no information on why they decided to default the loan, we received no 10 notice of intent to repossess the vehicle. The company as I stated refuses to speak with my wife and have actually started to belittle her when she tries to call to get more info, she is cussed out, and called names that no one should ever be called, she is called very racist names due to her being of Hispanic decent. I'm not sure what to do with this as I cannot file a report that the car is stolen because it the bank that took it even though we where in fact current and up to date on payment and our insurance was active. We have attempted to call the lien holder and request an itemized account history record to show that we where in the right, all they do is tell to and I quote "stop [censored]ing calling" and get hung up on. We have also made several attempts to contact them in regards to locating the car to retrieve personal belongings and get the same response. After a little research it has become apparent to us that we are not the only ones this is happening to, there are many many people that BHFC is doing this too. We found at least 100 people that have had the exact same set of circumstances happen to them.

If there is anyway you can assist us that would be great. We worked so hard to do the right things in life, we made our payments on time, but it didn't matter to them they still took the car.

I had my wife record as many of the phone calls between her and BHFC as she could.

Desired outcome: The return of my wife car, or I want this company to pay for the damages they have caused
