SCAM! SCAM! Beware
I placed a bid for an LA county tax lien auction sale, For a piece of land in LA that the bid4asset website showed a parcel map having street access. I went by that map, thinking why would the County of LA misadvertise a property. WELL it did, both on the County of LA and on Bid4assets, I lost my initial deposit of 5,035. even after I reached out to them the same day I placed the bid, I reached out to both the seller county of LA and the bid4assets. Both responding with the due diligence clause, they posted a blind advertisement for a lot that showed on there own website that it had access... it turned out to be a piece of land located in someones back yard mountain with NO access whatsoever! They have not and declined to refund my deposit! this is a scam! They hold no seller nor themselves liable for blind advertisements~ SCAM SCAM SCAM that took 5,035. in a blink of an eye!
Desired outcome: I want me full refund...there was no land for sale that was accessible as described in your website...

They are dishonest
They don't follow the rules they set down themselves. Very strange.
There rep Patti Wiles hung up on me when I made valid points and would not address my issues.
There appear to be spiteful and not above board for a auction company representing county auctions.
Desired outcome: Reinstate me as a bidder
Shady company. Beware.
I won a bid on a piece of jewelry. The jewelry was refundable, buyer pays return shipping. I messaged the seller and told him to just refund the money and don't ship it because I was going to return it. He complained to bid4assets customer service and they cancelled my account. It turns out the jeweler is their only jewelry seller so they took his side. The customer service people are rude and disrespectful. Years later I cannot use the account and I want to participate in country tax auction. They will not reinstate my account. It's illegal for a country to prohibit a member of the public from participating in the tax auction. I will file a federal lawsuit for $2.5 million.

Website
These broads in customer service are NOT customer service. Rude, they run their mouths, won't shut up long enough to hear what's going on. Might be an issue to research who governs them to intercept the complaints. I would NOT give my personal information OR MONEY/DEPOSIT to anyone in this [censored]hole.
If they can't handle a simple call -- what makes you think they would be able to handle something more of advanced in nature? I guess when you can't find a job requiring an education, this is what you get.
Completely unprofessional which also dictates their character and how they were raised.
Low employee paid for nonperformance.
I won a bid and they would not honor it
The customer service team is crappy and unprofessional. I would not trust these people with my personal information. They have access to peoples identification, ss, phone numbers and addresses. My experience was so terrible and the way that management handle it was sue worthy. These people have policies they do not enforce. You are assessed fees when you do not pay up on land but when sells do not pay up, they are not penalized.
I won a bid and they permitted the seller to cancel. Then the customer service was so poor I called a rep a [censored] and they banned me. She was a [censored]. But they banned me to cover up the fact that they permitted a seller to cancel the deal that he listed in correct, instead of making him sell me the property under the correct information. He got to resell the property that I won the auction for, because he sells there frequently. This is illegal and a bias.
These people are not to be trusted. I think they have hillbillies of all races sitting behind the customer service line taking your personal information... who knows what they do with it. There are other bidding sites. Check them out because these guys are crap.
Internet auction service
discriminating.. unfair business practice. I have been with Bid4assets for more than 15 years. I always perform and never missed any settlement.
But Last year Los Angel county auction, which was right around christmas time. My settlement cashier check mail arrived at Bid4assets office 2 days after deadline. I have been explained to all possible personnels in Bid4assets due to mail service error. But Bid4assets still suspend my account and exclude me from any further purchase. Even Bid4assets told me that suspension was requested by Los Angels county, but when I checked with Los Angle county tax collector and was told they had no clue on this. So, Bid4assets is dishonest company. I am american citizen with Chinese name. That is why Bid4assets has been looking for opportunity to ban me from further participating from any Government auctions.
Bid4assets is a dishonest company.
I am a seller. I buy and sell about 20 properties per year. I wanted to sell on Bid4assets but they were rude to me and made up lies about why I can't sell on their site. I would encourage everyone not to do business with this site. Things they did include
1) Accused me of not owning a house I was selling
2) Char Milan, Director of Client Services, tried to deny I was speaking to her and stated that she was not available when I was actually speaking to her.
3) Refused to let me speak to anyone else and voice messages to the CEO, Jesse Loomis, went unanswered.
4) Pulled an auction that I had bids on and would not give me the contact information for the bidders.
5) Claimed that they were doing this to prevent fraud but, they let another seller sell a house that I had already purchased at a tax auction on their site.
6) When I told them about another seller selling a house with no deed recorded in his name, they said he can do that.
7) Would constantly tell me one thing and then make up something later after I did everything they asked.
8) Accused me of taking weeks to give them information when the longest I took was 48 hours.
.
They are a dishonest company, I won a bid and the seller wanted to charge me $25 shipping and claimed I had to pay a minimum of $25 for an item I won for a $1 bid. They did nothing to help me and when I refused to pay they charged me $100 even though I closed my account.
I won a bid on a piece of jewelry. The jewelry was refundable buyer pays return shipping. I messaged the seller and told him to just refund the money and don’t ship it because I was going to return it. He complained to bid4assets customer service and they cancelled my account. I was the winning bidder of a silver coin. My winning bid was $1. I got a bill from the seller, Jewelry Auctions Inc., for $51, $25 for shipping and $25 for a sellers premium. I refused to pay and then was billed $100 by Bid For Assets. I refused to pay and explained why. Bid For Assets billed my credit card $100 even though I removed my card from their site. I believe this site and the seller are not honest.

We registered and purchased about 13 transactions on Bid4assets.com
This company should not be allowed to continue conducting their business. They are completely bias and only support and protect the SELLERS side obviously because the profits they are procuring from listings. They will charged your card without permission or proof of default. They will suspended your account during closing of a transaction if you file a complaint against the seller. DO NOT buy anything on this site and give them your banking info. We end up with 150k damages from buying properties on their website. An investigation from department of Real Estate & Business commissioner is highly recommended.
Shifty and seedy dealings
I had purchased a house and the real estate agent did not get back to me after I asked questions. In the mean time bid4assets took liberty to steal 250 usd from my bank account.. saying I signed an agreement. My contention is is that Ben Harris Real Estate
may be in cahoots with the company or else something else is involved how this company is so eagar to take 250 usd from your account. beware to this site there may be false advertising to this that involves tricking or swindling your money. I am 61 yers old and have health problems. I made it my number 1 priority to notify the public and the better business bureau of shifty, seedy, organized type mafia crime that are swindling people. I also am going to contact the police and the FBI as this organization needs to be caught red handed.
Thankyou for listening and bewre criminals lurking on the net to swindle you.
Ignoring their own policies
I had an account with this online community 2 years ago, where I tried to sell a few properties in Detroit, which is not a very easy area to do business in. A few sales went well, and after a couple of months, Bid4Assets told me that they would not be able to sell my properties anymore. It was 100% their choice and I put that on the back burner, and effectively retired. My sons got into Tax Deed/Lien investing, where they are buying properties from Counties in various areas for back taxes. My sons got their account with this business, successfully bought 46 properties, and what happened afterwards was simply unbelievable. My sons tried to put 1 property for sale, for which they had to submit the documents for their partnership and corporation. They found that my Younger Son's last name was the same as mine, did not look at any documents that they submitted, and completely banned them from their site. This put them into situation of being superior to the Government, as they could decide who would participate in Tax Deed Sales without any of the Counties' input, and leaves my sons without the possibility to do their business, because Bid4Assets said so. When I called them about this, their Vice-President explained to me that they have a limit of 1 account per household. Well my kids and me are far from same household. I'm sure they could check the computers if they wanted to, even those are different. They did not take the time for verification of anything. They feel just so powerful that they can play with peoples lives however they want, because they are selling the Government's property. I am taking it upon myself to bring this to all of the online community. The business cannot grow bigger over other businesses' dead bodies. Even now, they have one of my properties in their "success stories" link at the bottom of the page. So, it's just fine for them to use me as an example of success, but I'm not allowed back. My sons are also telling me that when they purchased an asset from their site, which was some $700 coupon kit with one of their partner sellers, they were effectively given an account block as well as insults from the seller and customer service before even being given a chance to pay for the item (literally within a couple of hours, when they weren't even at the computer). They were proud to announce that they were doing business with that individual for 8 years. Maybe this online business should be called ".Communism Online INC"
The complaint has been investigated and resolved to the customer’s satisfaction.
A similar situation happened to me. Isn't it illegal to prohibit a member of the general public from participating in a county tax auction? It seems like that is some shady dealing where they take your property from a person and then auction it off but pick and choose who can bid on the property? Can we have some legal help in this situation? Can you file a federal lawsuit?
Untrustable place
I was a participant for Alameda County Tax Defaulted Property Auction which was held on Mar. 20 and 21, 2008. The auction was hosted by Bid4assets.com. I own the Auction for a parcel of land in Livermore, CA for over $800, 000. As instructed by Bid4assets.com, I immediately wired the full payment for the auction property to Bid4assets.com’s bank account...
