Thought I booked Hampton Inn in Quincy IL, but the site looked like a Hampton Inn website, it wasn't in reality. I booked me for Quincy FL Hampton. I tried to cancel it because I just made it, and my confirmation said free cancellation, but in reality since it is a fraudulant 3rd party booking, pretending to be Hampton Inn, the would not give me a refund, after telling me to first book the correct city reservation for Quincy IL, then call them back after doing so to cancel the wrong one. After calling them back they said it was nonrefundable, even though it says free cancellation. They are frauds both BookOnline and hotelvalues.com and should be avoided.

Desired outcome: Refund requested, I will dispute it as a fraud.

Be ware of this site. Based upon the above comment and that I agreed the reservation was non-refundable, I have not bothered to try to appeal to BookOnLine what I describe below. I thought I was booking directly with the hotel for a room advertized online for $134. It wasn't until after I had confirmed my reservation by clicking the confirm button that I saw the total being billed to my credit card was $207.52. Then I learned there was an item identified as "Tax Recovery and Fees" for $73.52. When I asked at the hotel what the extra fee was they told me I had apparently booked through a third party agent. It was not till then did I notice that I had actually booked through BookOnLine. I realize that I should have read more closely, but I had booked through other on-line sites and never had this kind of fee attached. Even if the tax on the room was 10% it would only have been about $13, which means I paid approximately $60 for something I did not need. I have learned my lesson. They can have the $60 as I should have been more cautious, but I will never use them or recommend them.
