My car loan came due, without notification. I have paid over $40k on a used 2008 nissan pathfinder, and now they have demanding a $6k balloon payment - due in a matter of days. They will not even speak to me regarding refinancing or making payment arrangements on this "unfair" balloon payment until 90 days have passed - and pushed to the charge off department (destroying my credit).
Desired outcome: I WOULD LIKE THEM TO REMOVE MY LATE PAYMENTS FROM MY CREDIT BUREAU AND SPEAK TO ME TO WORK OUT A PAYMENT PLAN.
They told you about this when you bought the car. They said in the Federal Truth In Lending form that is required by every dealership, that covers if you miss one day, that interest is added to the loan, but the loan remains due at the same time. Same thing with extensions. This is from your own defaults, not them. It is fair and you do owe it.
