I gotta say, I'm not too thrilled about having to write this review, but I think it's important for folks considering Bridgewater for their next
I gotta say, I'm not too thrilled about having to write this review, but I think it's important for folks considering Bridgewater for their next home to hear about our experience. The homes they build are top-notch, no complaints there. But when it comes to customer service, they really dropped the ball with us. We signed the contract to build our home in late April with a completion date of November 17th. We knew that date might get pushed back a bit due to supply chain issues and labor shortages, but we didn't end up closing until April 29th, 2022. During that time, we were misled, ignored, or straight-up lied to by our sales rep, Cynthia M. I'd steer clear of her if I were you. After a few months of that nonsense, we started working with Holly B, who was fantastic and actually treated us with respect. My beef extends all the way up to the owner of Bridgewater. When I tried to hold them accountable for an option we were told was included but wasn't, she told me we were lucky they were even honoring their contract with us! I don't care what the situation is, you don't talk to clients like that. We closed over a month ago and we still don't have our front yard landscaping installed (which is supposed to be provided by Bridgewater). There are two other homes on our street that have their landscaping done, but ours is still missing. During the punch-list walk a week before closing, there was a laundry list of touch-ups that needed to be done, and nothing's been completed or even scheduled. The lot was never cleaned and there are nails and construction trash all over the front and back yards. We won't be building with them again and I suggest you don't either.
I live in a Bridgewater home and I gotta say, we love our house
I live in a Bridgewater home and I gotta say, we love our house. It's pretty good quality overall, but lemme tell ya, their customer service is a joke. They straight up ignore you and are super rude. You can only contact them by email and it takes forever to get a response, if you even get one at all. And once you close on your house, they tell you to stay out of the sales office. Plus, we had to pick up so many nails and trash from the construction in our yard, it was gross. They never came back to do any touch ups on the paint or anything, so we just gave up trying to contact them. They twist your words around and are just plain disrespectful. Our concrete driveway and walkway are a mess too. We've only been in our house since March (even though we were supposed to move in last December), and we're already gonna have to pay to have it redone. And it's not just us, four other houses on our street have the same problem. We're gonna tell everyone we know that Bridgewater's customer service is terrible. They act like it's no big deal, but their sign says it's a luxury home. Hopefully people will remember how we were treated and go with a different contractor. It's such a shame that something as simple as fixing our driveway could have avoided all this drama.
I had to deal with Cynthia ####M the sales person and she is unprofessional and completely dishonest
I had to deal with Cynthia M the sales person and she is unprofessional and completely dishonest. Run from this builder. Here is my situation. I looked at the floor plans, and from what I could read from the renderings, what they are trying to build is totally physically impossible to do. They had stairs going in two different directions, if you can believe that, based on what they told me. The stairs were going into the basement. She and her colleague tried to convince me that the stairs leading into the basement were in one location, and I tried to tell them it is impossible, otherwise you have the same set of stairs both going up and down at the same time. Glory be, will miracles never cease. So, I am thinking to myself, I guess this is a department store where you have escalators with one set of escalators going one way, and the other set another way. Seeing as how that is impossible, I tell them as respectfully as I can that either the blue print is wrong, or somebody is reading the blue print wrong, They make me out as some kind of idiot, and treat me like I don't know what I am doing. I do have a master's degree, but I guess I look and sound stupid, at least that is how they treated me. So we go to another exact model of the house my wife and I wanted, and turns out I am right. They are really messed up and make it my problem. They actually stood there and admitted that I was right, the blue print was wrong. So how do I buy a home from the ground with the blue prints wrong? Nobody would do that. In actuality, the blue print was right, they read it wrong, and tried to convince me it was my problem, when they were so rude to me when I even brought up the issue. This would have involved a very major change to the basement finish which we were looking to do. This issue would have cost us tens of thousands of dollars more to correct in finishing the basement if I had believed what they were telling me about where the stairs were located in the basement. Then they blame it on me that I even brought this up in the first place, like it was my fault. Who buys a home if either the sales people do not know how to even read a blue print, and you catch them on it, and make it out as your problem, like I am demanding too much. So they tell me I am demanding too much that they understand the product they are selling, and I am the one spending around over 500k for the house and the blue prints match how the home would be built. Sorry, but that is just plain bad and wrong. These are dishonest people and do not know what they are dong and do not care. Trust nothing with these people. They do not know their product, and they do not understand even how to read a blue print, and yet you are signing thousands of dollars of deposits in a contract. You would never get your money back, trust me. Also, if you ever want to have them partially finish the basement, watch out. Up comes another 5k deposit in earnest money in addition to the 5K earnest money for the house. Ooops, surprise. Really, do not deal with these people. They are dishonest. It is all about getting money...yours! The home appears beautiful. The home appears to be quality built, but the business and sales side of this is in shambles. Oh, and watch the fine print about doing a basement finish by them. Watch out because the fine print states that the basement bathroom is an option. Who ever would finish or partially finish a basement, and not have the bathroom finished, and be extra for the bathroom? My wife and I could not get to the bottom of this, and it never ended. You never reach the bottom. It just goes on and on and on. You get strung along. I was floored when I saw the optional basement bathroom. It is on the list, but it is in the fine print. If you deal with these people, take not only your realtor but your lawyer as well. Don't be fooled. My recommendation, run don't walk away from this builder. We feel relieved we walked away and saved our money.

We bought a house from Bridgewater Homes on 10/19
We bought a house from Bridgewater Homes on 10/19. We saw during our walk on 10/12 that the upstairs guest bathroom window wasn't sealed. They said they'd fix it before we moved in on 10/19. But when we moved in, we saw that the window wasn't just unsealed, it was installed wrong. There's a big gap between the bathroom tile and the window frame. We think this happened because they installed the window too late in the construction. We emailed Bridgewater, including Leslie Moen, one of the owners, in August because the window wasn't installed yet. When we moved in, we saw the window wasn't sealed and had a gap. We told Bridgewater right away. Two days later, another employee contacted me about something else, and I told them about the window problem. I emailed Leslie Moen on 10/25, but she hasn't responded. Bridgewater hasn't tried to schedule a repair or meet to talk about the problem.
