I have been looking for this product everywhere. Finally, I gave in and ordered directly from the manufacturer. First, the ordering process is very confusing and automatically adds on the Hollywood Bumpit even when you say "no." Second, the S&H is almost as much as the product! It is shipped via USPS in a 3.5" x 6" x 1" box, and takes 6 weeks to get from CT to CA -- which would cost MAYBE $2.00 to ship. This company should be ashamed of itself for such BLATANT FRAUD. I'm disgusted by them. OH BY THE WAY...my favorite beauty supply store just started selling them, so I could have avoided the whole scam. I hope this saves others from doing what I did.

I tried to cancel 12 hours after ordering because the ordering process is I believe purposefully misleading and charged me for 2 Hollywood bumpits and did not add the free bumpit they advertised. The $30 shipping charge is outrageous, but the ordering process does not give you an opportunity to review your order and cancel or edit if its not correct.

Shady company.

I am sitting here in amazement that there are not more posts on here. I just ordered Bumpits as well and am shocked at what has happened. Firstly it asked me if I wanted the Hollywood Bumpit for free just paying the $6.95 shipping I unfortuately said what the hey, and left the already clicked box the way it was and continued. Then the next screen came up and asked me if I wanted a Hollywood Bumpit. I was like sure, didn't I just click that already but ok yes, and the I unfortunately decided to grab an extra one for my friend so I clicked two. Then it asked me if I wanted the deluxe versions with extra grip for $5, so once again, I unfortuately clicked yes, thinking $5 meant $5. It then asked me if I wanted a tutorial DVD, thank god, I said no. And as I clicked no immediately another screen came up... Thank you for you order. I was like ummm.. how much is my total?!? I scroll down to see that It has ordered me 3 sets or everything, and that the shipping alone is $45.. making for a grand total of $115.00! I was like nope, dont want this anymore.. but do you think I could find any contact information to cancel, not a single e-mail address or phone number! This company should be ashamed with the way they do bussiness. A purchase that should have cost me $19.99 plus shipping is now costing me over a hundred and even if I sent everyting back I would still be out the $45 which is completely ludicris!

I hope this helps anyone would would otherwise be dupped by such a bad company!

I HAD THE SAME ISSUE WITH THE ABOVE COMMENTS. THIS COMPANY IS A TOTAL SCAM & THEIR ORDERING PROCESS IS SET UP SO THAT YOU CAN'T VIEW YOUR ORDER AND IT ADDS EXTRA THINGS TO YOUR ORDER. I CALLED THE COMPNAY... TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE. I DON'T RECOMMEND ORDERING FROM THEM... TOTAL SCAM!

So I just ordered Bumpits from their website. When I got to the end it said I ordered 2. I meant to only order 1 (I cant be 100% sure that I didnt accidently click another), but my complaint comes from the website not having any type of itemized review before they process the order. So to everyone out there, be careful to pay attention to how many or what you choose because there is NO going back to review...every last minute attempt for them to get you to add something to your oder will not be priced up at the end to review before you submit it. They just ask if you want something, if you add it they wont give you an idea of how much the total will be...THEN...if you want to try and contact the company to adjust your order, Good Luck finding a phone number on the site. I'm a little nervous about ordering this one.

I am not surprised to have found so many complaints about the ordering procesess. I ended up with an order of almost $90.00, when I tried to cancel I was given more red tape than the Franchise Board.

I ordered online and ran into the SAME ###. I'm totally computer savvy as I've been using the internet etc for 20+ years. I ordered ONE set plus the Hollywood bumpit, and it charged me for TWO orders as well. It's not accidental, this is all clearly on purpose. By the time you realize your order is F'd you can't change it. Then you have to wait 24 hours to even think about calling to fix it "because the order won't show up for up to 24 hours" (###!) Then it says it won't ship for 2-3 weeks but it ships in under a week so that by the time it's "in their system" (###!) the item has already shipped so you are SCREWED out of the shipping and handling which for me is $30. I think everyone should contact the Better Business Bureau about this.

Here's the link, DO it, it'll only take a few minutes and it'll help stop companies that SCREW people.

They screwed me too. I ordered last night, and promptly cancelled this morning. You have no option to review your order and they rack as many charges as possible on there. $30 for shipping is absolutely ridiculous. I want to see what I'm ordering, I want to be able to change it, add to it, change the color, whatever. SUCH A SCAM!

This has got to be a scam.

* There is no way to review your order at the end. They just keep adding things on, adding things on, THEN THEY CHARGE YOU. You have no idea what the final cost is.

* There is no way to contact their 'customer service'. You plug in your order number and it says not found.

* They don't even offer email support. They send you a confirmation email, and that's it.

This is the worst Internet ordering experience I have ever been though.

DO NOT ORDER THIS PRODUCT. THEY ARE SHADY AND DISHONEST!

I had the same issue. I accidentally added the ugly Amy-Winehouse-"Hollywood"- bumpit and once I realized it, there wasn't an opportunity to retract my order. I had no luck finding a Customer Service link and spent time googling to see if it was somewhere listed other than on the website. No luck. Buy the stupid things at Sally's or Rite Aid. They are worth the $10 bucks or so that they charge.

Just curious, but if everyone on here is saying the same thing then surely you must've thought that somewhere along the line while trying to navigate a piss-poor website that something was wrong, but you continued anyway. I don't know how it's setup on the site, don't care. But, if you thought something was wrong, why did you allow yourself to complete the process, no matter how screwed up it was? If their website sucked so hard, one would think the support behind it would be about the same, if not worse.

I'm not slamming you, but maybe lesson learned? All of these TV commercials are setup late at night, or during the day for a reason. Impulse. I just saw the commercial again, and this time actually paid attention rather than changing the channel, hitting mute or just laughing. It said right there that shipping and handling was $16.50. That much for basically two pcs. of plastic? That alone sends off bells. One thing you do have on your side is this. Contact your card provider and tell them to start a fraud investigation due to lack of response and stalling. They will jump on it because, for right now it is their money until you receive the bill which has yet to be cycled. If you claim fraud after the fact, it becomes harder for the credit cards to recoup money, rather than hand it out in the first place. If you've been wronged, contact them. Otherwise, aside from the crappy service, if you get the product you really can't have a legit complaint posted about them with BBB or anything like that because you do receive a product for your money, even if you've paid realistically for about the cost of a box of them.

Good luck!

I just finished reading all the posts and was stunned to say the least! Bumpits recently had a giveaway on their facebook page.It said they were giving them out to the first 500 people who put their info in and allowed them access to your facebook page.So I figured, yeah, ok its free, so why not.Three days later I see an advertisement on my facebook page for them(they used a pic of a little girl, maybe 3 or 4 holding the bumpits box).First, although it was cute, I think it was shameful advertising. Then I noticed a few posts under it about the free giveaway, and so I went to the site on facebook. What I found was complete fraud! They suddenly retracted their statement about the "giving" away part, and said that what it should of said was that they were giving away 100 sets(5 in each set), and that it was a contest, not a free giveaway as originally posted. When I put my info in to receive it, I had to allow them access to my facebook page, and info, in order to get a set.Assuming from what I read, I went ahead and allowed them access and signed up.It stated after I submitted my info that my free bumpits will arrive in 2-4 weeks. Now theyre retracting their statement saying that they never intended to lie, or mislead, that the wording was a mistake and that it was a contest.I immediately blocked them from my facebook page/account, and unfanned myself, along with reporting them to the BBB(many others did also).Apparently, the lesson for all of us is that Bumpits is a company that should NEVER EVER be trusted. Not for giveaways, ordering from their site, or anything else.I believe they should honor everyone who entered-or at least the first 500.Im so sorry to hear everyone else's story of what happened to them, Bumpits is more ### than hair products.
