Worst bag I ever bought
I have owned the Buxton bag not even a year and I am very disappointed with it. The velcro to hold the cell phone in the pouch does not hold and I have found my cell in the grocery cart or even worse it fell onto the ground.
The magnetic catch has pulled the attached piece from the cloth so I had to use masking tape to hold it in place. Last week it broke out and then the flap would just fold over so always worried that something would fall out.
I did not find it held as many items as it professed too either.
The zipper pull came off a few times as well.
I recently bought another purse to replace this one and will not be buying one from Buxton ever again. I have other Buxton products in the past that have lasted so I thought this purchase would be a good one. But I am very disappointed.

poor workmanship/false advertising
The Buxton Bag company's scam is that they offer you two bags for the price of one, the first bag (in the box) is black and is crap (vinyl and the black comes off right in your hand), the second bag is better quality and is actually leather. I have tried to get my money back by returning the bag, but no one will take ownership of the bag, claiming they are only a "warehouse". good scam!

Very poor quality
I bought this bag because I thought it would be perfect. I don't like carrying bags to start off with but this one seem to fit my needs small enough to carry but still enough space to carry what i needed, I purchased the first bag had it for over a week and the lining ripped and the leather started to separate ..I returned it and exchanged it for another..after a few months the stitching came apart, started to fray and the magnet wouldn't hold and the purse kept flying open.. then the zipper in the back broke..I have always trusted the name Buxton before but after the experience with this bag I don't know if i will buy from them again.
This is so bogus they adverise leather handbags but they send plastic unless you pay an extra 20.00 per bag which is never spelled out until you see the charge on your bank statement.

Very poor quality products
Another company/product to be aware of, this product is nothing like what they advertise and the quality is very poor. It's like other products on these cheap commercials and when you order it online, by the time they add shipping and handling, you are paying 5 times what you have to pay at a local shop!
I'm posting a video bellow, they claim it works as advertised but again it's poor quality.

Gave out information
I received a very flimsy mailing with a check for $8.75 that appeared to be a credit card/travel club/discount club solicitation. The three companies listed at different places on the mailing were db design by Buxton, Great Fun and Trilegiant Corporation. The wording stated that if I cashed the check that my credit card that is on file with Buxton Bags would be charged $149.99 a year.
I did purchase a Buxton Bag as a gift last year from a TV ad. I called Buxton Bags and I was told that they do not have my info and gave me number to call to a company, As Seen on TV, that would have my info but that number was incorrect. That agent in turn gave me another incorrect number. I called Great Fun's number on the mailing and they told me Buxton has my info.
What concerns me is that my credit card information is out there to be easily accessed by someone that cashes that check. I find this to be a very shoddy way to do business.

Overcharged
Last night, April 7, 2009, I telephoned the number on a television advertisement for a Buxton Hand Bag. I ordered one bag, and NOTHING ELSE. The advertised price was $19.95 for the bag plus $7.95 shipping and handling. That equals a total of $27.90. This morning a pending charge for $43.75 from GPM Merchandise Direct has appeared on my account. That is an overcharge of $15.85.
If this is how this company is going to be before I have even had time to receive the Hand Bag, I would prefer to CANCEL my order and have the entire amount of $43.75 credited to my credit card IMMEDIATELY!
Also, once the credit has been processed and received, I want GPM Merchandise Direct to fully REMOVE my information, especially my credit card number, from their database!
Thank You,
Lois M. Ingram

10/11/11 - Today I tried to call customer service, yet again, and get new bags. I have replaced these bags several times and usually they break, zipper pulls, zippers, threads, etc. within the first day to one week. The "extra" I paid for the 'Stronger Real Leather' was worthless and a waste. I figured that I got what I paid for and I would just live with it and keep getting them to replace the bags throughout the 2 year guarantee period. HOWEVER, today, the customer service number I had, [protected], is no longer servicing the Buxton Bag. So I called the number for ordering and got the message that this number was not available and to check with the network person. I also went to their www.customerstatus.com site and tried to leave my name and order number... to no avail. Hmmmm... thinking that NO ONE should actually try to order on line. If you look at the bottom of webpage you will see it was last updated in 2010. Wish there was a way to contact them and give them a piece of my mind...oh wait... lol... a piece of THEIR BAG...
My daughter purchased for me one of the buxton bag s, when I recieved it it was a damaged product, we returned it and paid shipping and got another bag, low and behold a few weeks later the threading started to unravel and I had another bad bag from buxton. I am disabled an have trouble carrying a bag, bad choice to buy a buxton Thought it would be my solution. very dissapointed, April Ramon 310 Brook Dr #2 78009
I ordered a buxton bag on November 1st and did not recieve any updates via email (aka shipping details, back ordered details) so by November 22 I called and canelled my order and now as of 1/13/2011 I still have not recieved the refund.. Don't order from them! I have called several time and the numbers tend to send you in a goose chase !
Odered and received Buxton Bag over internet and paid extra for the 'higher' quality leather. Zipper failed first week. Telephoned Buxton Bag and they sent another bag but it was the regular quality leather. The zipper on that one failed so I sent it in along with $10 for S&H. Received a letter with S&H check and correspondence that said I was out of luck.
I purched a Buxton bag on thr internet From the Worldwide Department store I placed the order 07/06/2008 on my master card I recieved a order id# 260784 The money was removed 07/25/2008 the order said it wood ship within 7 days it is now 08/11/2008 and no word I have sent 2 emails to them
Worst purse I have ever owned
This is the worst bag to ever purchase. I have had nothing but trouble. The shipping and handling cost almost as much as the bag did.
The magnet catch was starting to dislodge almost a few months after I bought it. Last week it totally came out of the leather and no longer would hold. So worried that my things would fall out of the purse.
The zipper pull broke off. The cell phone holder velcro does not hold. Have found my cell in the grocery cart or worse it fell out and onto the floor when I bent over to tie my shoe.
Save your money and do not buy this bag.

I bought the Buxton bag that's advertised on TV, and the side zippers won't stay zipped. In the first two weeks, the compartment for my cell phone tore. The leather is very thin and the whole purse is just flimsy, and it's easy for things to fall out of the purse. Now the thin material around the magnet is tearing loose, so I won't be able to keep the flap closed tightly. It's a good concept, but very cheaply made. I'm not hard on purses, but this one wasn't made to last anytime at all. Don't waste your money on it!
Unauthorized billing
Always looking for the perfect purse, I ordered the Butxon bag from their website. What a mistake! Every step lured me into a bait - and - switch. Sure, I decided to get the better bag for a few dollars more. Sure, I wanted expedited shipping. Only I didn't know where I was in the order process or how much I had spent or what I was getting.
What I got was screwed. I called the company when I found out I was charged $75 for a $20 bag. My only recourse was to return the bags when I got them. Yes, BAGS. Because I didn't upgrade to a better bag (which is what I thought I did), I got the upgraded bag and the regular bag!
I refused the bags, sent them back and eventually they refunded my money. Well, some of it. Their expedited shipping costs were astronomical. Never was any indication given as to how much the shipping costs were during the order process.
In short -- if you want this bag, get it off Ebay.
The complaint has been investigated and resolved to the customer’s satisfaction.
WARNING: DECEPTIVE COMPANY! When you order on the website, they will offer you a supposedly upgraded leather model for an extra $10. DON'T DO IT! I did and instead of upgrading me, they charged me for 2 bags: 1 regular and 1 upgraded one. I immediately phoned the toll free number and was told to phone back on a non-toll free line the next business day. i did to try to correct the error but they said the bag had already shipped. That is a lie. They said once i received the two bags, to send one back and i would be credited, although not for the return shipping. when the bags arrived, they were identical (i.e., no upgraded leather). I sent one back with a leather demanding a refund of the upgraded bag but they only credited the cheaper bag and refused to credit any shipping costs even though it was their deceptive ordering instructions that caused the error. DO NOT PATRONIZE SHADY BUSINESSES LIKE THIS!
I ordered the bag same deal ended up ordering two bags and after I've read about this I'm really worried if I'll ever get mine!
Been waiting 4 weeks so far.

I totally agree with you. The moment I got the bag, I took it out of the packaging and there were tears in it. Then when I started to use it, it started falling apart... It's BS ! All that money and it's a piece of [censor] !
