I ordered a free trial of veloura but till today I still have not got the items but was charged $199.90 on my credit card. I only agree to pay for the shipping charges not for the products. This was a total scam. I informed the bank on the dispute charges and they’re investigating.
I received the free trial and am now told I have to have it sent every month and will be charged but have not been told how much it would cost so I want to return it back . I have looked on the Internet and it appears to be a scam . I phone the phone number and it connects and says goodbye
I ordered a free sample today of Veloura and & was told to pay for p&p £4.99. About page 2 or 3 in the process there was a box containing " terms & conditions" which stated that £79.99 would be taken from my account for the free sample & they would send me more Veloura every month @ £89.99 unless I declined /cancelled this with them.
The link to do this didn't work & the phone number seemed to be somewhere abroad. I was too wary to ring this.
I then received a call from them ( pseudo-american accent) & I asked if I could cancel ...they said ring the number on the confirmation e mail to do this...again a number ? abroad which I thought best not to ring & the link again was not working.
I then rang my card company and they said it was a scam & they cancelled my card so no payments could be taken. I have to ring them in 2 days when a dispute regarding the payment will be opened...basically they cannot take any money from my account.
Is this linked to "Dragons Den" publicity re this product ? or scamming opportunists.
My advice if you experience this is to ring your bank/ card company asap.
