I ordered a nubrilliance microdermabrasion (Home use) unit from their online site recently. It describes the unit as: it deminishes fine lines, discolorations, give skin a young healthy glow and smoother skin. Came with two diamond heads to use (Fine diamond head for face & neck) and regular diamond head for arms, legs etc. .)
I ordered this unit on a trial offer for 30 days. I received the unit this past week, read the instructions (Followed them carefully) the first use, my skin was red (Longer than the "minutes" it spoke of and a bit tender, there was some flaking of the skin, but i applied the two creams sent with the unit and it helped with the flaking and figured that was part of it. I waited (As recommended in the instructions) a few days and used the unit for the second time. This is when my skin became very red and irritated. Again after this i applied the creams and realized my skin was raw in many places and the creams only made it worse instead of relieving the discomfort. My face felt as though it were on fire, with pins sticking me all night. I tried to rinse off the cream for relief with just plain water and this burned even further. Upon getting up the next morning (After a painful night) my face looked as though it went through a briar patch. I am horrified! I am attaching the photos of the next morning after the second use the night before.
There are only positive testimonials on their site, nothing on their site or in the papers they sent prepared me for this outcome. I will not go outside of my home nor answer my door until my face heals (If it will) and the pain still exist but today i can put ointment on (With discomfort) but i am worried about infection (If i do not) and of course, permanent scarring. This product is not for everyone and unfortunately they do not include that others have had very bad outcomes from the use. I feel very disfigured for someone who only wanted the deminished lines and smooth youthful skin the product claims to give you. I feel like a monster and can only hide out in my home until my face heals (And i pray that is the case) can you help? I have since found online many complaints that are like mine, with damage to face from use of this product. I wish i had thought of that before trying this product, but trusted the website which claimed dr. Approved and safe.
Sincerely,
Deonna hampton
Upon contacting customer service at NuBrilliance, I told the woman on the phone of my horrible experience and she stated, " I am sorry you were not happy with the product"... I told her I absolutely was not, and then she stated..."well, it doesn't work for everyone"... REALLY? I asked her WHY is that not stated on the website? She did not reply. She really just rushed to get off the phone.
That was the first I heard that the product did not work for everyone, the website is full of "positive" testimonials, all positive statements about the product with NO negative. All about what wonderful results this unit gives. NO disclaimer, no statements from those who returned the product or why. Just the ole "bait and hook"
This absolutely does not work for everyone (it did not work for me) and there are others... Don't take the chance on this! Look at my face, the pictures are very real and this was done by the NuBrilliance microdermabrasion unit. I have photos of myself before use of the unit and the photos posted are after.
I am currently seeing a doctor and awaiting appointment with dermatologist and pray that my face can be repaired. This unit did nothing of what it states on the website or in the paper work sent with it.
Very deceptive practices in order to sell their units with disregard to the damages that the product can do to others. Because this product may work for some, it should not be at the expense of the others that it does harm to. They simply don't want to hear about it, don't care.
People matter, I matter. I am currently using prescribed creams and cannot go outside in the sun (not that I want to be seen) I cannot participate in activities involving family, friends, school. I am a shut in, hiding in the shame of how I now look. Mortified while sitting in the waiting room of a doctors office (with my head down, and hair hanging over my face) so that no one could see my damaged face.
Please, do not use this product, do not take the chance that it may work for you, as it may not (as with me) and is that a chance you are willing to take? I am telling you what they will not, it DOES NOT work for everyone. It has been painful (physically & emotionally). I would not wish this on my worst enemy.
The photo below is BEFORE use of the NuBrilliance microdermabrasion unit. Compare the photo with the ones previously submitted and ask yourself if you want to take the chance.

Thank you, for the kind words. I have reported them, in hopes that they would pull the product, and have told my story in hopes that it doesn't happen to anyone else. I am healing (except for a few scars that will be left) from where I started, and for that I am grateful to the doctors for all they have done.
I will never buy another product online that is not offered in reputable stores, as you stated, at least you can take the product back to the store and speak to someone in person. Thank you for prayers, that is the one thing that has gotten me through this...all the prayers.
God Bless
The results are in fact from the use of the NuBrilliance at home use product, and it was the second use with the correct tip (fine) and used exactly as recommended by the instructions, dvd and a step further by calling customer service after the first use and face was red longer than stated in the instructions and dvd... they said it was "normal" and wait a few days and use again, it was part of the process. Not so. The second time, was the last time and the photos reflect the outcome. I am not the only person who had injury (no, before you ask, I have not hired an attorney) I documented every step and had photos taken as well, I posted and reported to keep anyone else from having injury. While this product may work for some it does NOT work for everyone. That is what should be stated in the paperwork and website NuBrilliance has. It is great that it worked for you, but it is very tragic that it caused damage to others.
Because it worked for you and you had a positive outcome, you have no right to insinuate that I am not being truthful, I am 100% telling the truth, my dermatologist looked at the unit, the tips (which I still have) as well as my family doctor (you know, the professionals) and both stated, this could and did cause harm to individuals, the tips are not the same as used in the dermatologist office (this from my dermatologist) and the fine tip was the only tip used (twice) the other tip has NO use at all (no dna at all on it) so as far as the wrong tip... sorry but no. Over use, not at all.
The ONLY thing I am trying to do, is to change the way NuBrilliance advertises the product, to include the negative outcomes of those who did not benefit from use of this product, and to include the statement, "this product can cause damage to skin, to some individuals".
For information purposes check out the Wellquest International (NuBrilliance) they have many products on the market, they have been in legal trouble for making false, misleading statements about products, including the clinically tested, doctor approved... that is fact, but then NuBrilliance doesn't state all the facts...so if you are trying to dig up dirt, start there, the dirt is with the company (Wellquest International and their products) I did far more than NuBrilliance "Wellquest International", I told the whole truth about the product.
You are welcome, it was a very bad experience and to add insult to injury, the company never even acknowledged my complaint, no letter of apology, no phone call, the customer service was very rude.
I sent before and after photos to the company along with doctor statements of my injuries but they did not nor have not changed their reviews of the product to include "may cause injury" and "not everyone has positive results" they only appear to acknowledge those positive reviews, and disgard the negative reviews (that does not line their pockets) instead of trying to use those to correct any problems with the product... or to include those statements (mine is not the only negative outcome) and I did not hire an attorney to file suit, I paid for all of my medical and it is an experience I will never forget. But shame on NuBrilliance (aka Wellquest International) for not being professional enough to acknowledge those of us with negative outcomes from use of their product. And I am so very glad that you chose NOT to make the purchase on the "possibility" that you could have been injured. I will never again take a chance on something like this.
God Bless,
Deonna
Thanks for the tips on creams. My dermatologist did prescribe the hydroquinone (the triluma had a manufacture recall at the time and the pharmacy would not fill it, so my doctor prescribed the hydroquinone.
I did as directed on the nubrillance, and even called customer service after the first use and skin stayed red for longer than stated. They told me to wait a few days and then use again (fine tip) that some people are different. I did and stopped very soon and put the creams on (that is when it became horrible) my skin just came off in areas with application of the cream and burned like fire. The combination of the unit and the creams seemed to have been the problem (according to my dermatologist) and seemed to have been a defect in the fine tip (which I kept both to take to the doctor). I am better now, I still have some light scarring (discolorations) but they are fading with the use of the bleaching cream prescribed.
The unit works for some, I have read that. But not for everyone (I am an example of some) I have learned that anything to do with my body at all, I will always go to a qualified doctor. I am doing well and moving on. I really appreciate the tips on the creams and your kind words, I hope the unit works well for you and am glad you had not had issues with it. Thank you for being kind and considerate of my experience.
God Bless,
Thank you for your comment. I am doing well though I do still have some scarring but not as bad as it had been so it has gotten somewhat better. For a while it was just awful. Make up covers the scars that are still left I am using a cream the dermatologist has prescribed which lightens the scarring.
I am glad that you have decided not to use the creams with the device. I firmly believe that the creams that came with the device made matters far worse for me. My skin literally felt like it was on fire upon using the cream after the machine use.
And you are correct in your statement of my not using any harsh products on my skin, just facial cloths and my hands. I did use the fine tip, but between the device and the creams... my outcome was not a good one. I do hope that you have much better luck than I did. Just always check your skin for any sensitivity after any use.
I have stayed away from any products like this. I will only go to a professional from now on. I learned a hard lesson and I am bouncing back. I thank you so much for asking. Good luck and I wish you all the best with the product.
Thank you too. I learned a hard lesson and glad it is behind me. I will stay far away from anything else like this or even close... like you, those that have had good results, I am glad but not for me... lesson learned.
Thanks for the kind words!
You are welcome and I am glad that you have done some research before trying. I have since found that dermatologist are reasonable for this procedure... there are some who over charge but I have been treated for the damage caused by this by a very reasonable dermatologist. Haven't had it done as I am a bit gun shy and want to completely heal (just some scarring left which I am using a prescribed lightener.
I am glad that you did some checking and made your own decision, I would never want this to happen to anyone else.
God Bless,
Deonna
Glad that I can help in some way. Perhaps that is why I had the experience (everything happens for a reason) I am grateful to be much better now. It could have been far far worse and I am thankful that I am healing very well as of this date.
There is no miracle cure out there for anything. A good dermatologist and they are out there and there are some very affordable ones I have found and am quite happy that my doctor has helped me to heal from this experience. I am so glad that you decided not to buy the unit. I do not have sensitive skin and you can see what happened, that is what I did not understand... but it is over and I am much better. Thank the Lord. Good luck to you Rae, I hope you will check into some dermatologist and that you have only wonderful success.
God Bless, Deonna
You are welcome. And it is best to pay a little extra to have this done professionally and safely. Trust me, it has cost me more than if I had just went straight to a professional first. Best of luck and I am happy you decided to leave this to the professionals.
God Bless,
Deonna
I hope that you can get your money back, but I am glad you have chosen not to use the product. Please see a dermatologist about the dark brown or red areas because there are a couple of creams they can prescribe that will give you results in weeks. The longer you use the creams the more results you will notice. As you can see from the photos after I used the Nubrilliance product... I had damage, and once the dermatologist was able to help me with the healing process, he prescribed the creams for the scarring left behind and I am quite happy with the results. I hope you will check with a local dermatologist to find out about the bleaching cream and other creams they can prescribe.
Good luck and God bless.

Sorry for the troubles you have had with the multiple phone calls from other vendor Gaotgirl, that is one of the other draw backs with these companies. Just doesn't pay to order things on television or online these days.. I hope that your do not call list works (some ignore this) good luck to you and I know what a headache that can be.
To vampiregirl: glad that you did not make the purchase. Better safe than sorry. I regret my purchase, and my experience... but if I can keep one person from having the same bad experience and suffering any pain or damage, it is the good part of my awful experience. Everything happens for a reason. I am grateful to be healing up and getting along quite well now. It is a shame that the company refused to acknowledge the problems with the product and not one word of apology (I am not a sue happy person) I just wanted to have them to talk to me... did not happen but that speaks volumes as to what type of company they are. You are correct when you say it is all about the bottom line, money... not a good way to run a business.
God Bless,
Deonna
Thank you and I am glad that you searched the internet before your purchase and did not just look at the reviews on NuBrilliance web site (as it only has the positive remarks) Wish I had done that... But you have made the right choice in my opinion and it was your choice to make and at least you got ALL the information both good and bad before making that decision, even though you had to find the information for yourself.
God Bless,
Deonna
Don't give up and contact your credit card company and they will stop the re occurring charges. It is a shame that people do business this way and without regard to anyone else. I hope that you get your money back and I am glad you changed your mind. I would never want anything like this to happen to anyone else. I am hoping you come out well with the refund. Good luck and God bless.
Deonna
Maria, I am the woman in the photo. I did watch the video and did use the correct tip. I did in fact have damage from the use of the unit as well as the creams I used after the use which intensified the injuries and pain.
I am glad you had good results but I can assure you I did not. It does not work for everyone and while most choose to believe the only comments and testimonials that NuBrilliance advertise on their site... they do not post ALL comments especially the negative ones. You should not jump to the conclusion that my post is inaccurate, it is my personal experience and the truth, the complete truth. I posted on this site because when I contacted NuBrilliance directly they would not take my statement by phone or in letters. Which tells me they do not want to tell the public that this product does NOT work for everyone. And no, I am not the only one with a bad experience with injury from the use of the unit. I can read and I did use the product as directed and took the unit and the tips to my dermatologist for his "expert" opinion... Guess what... he agreed this was NOT like the unit they use in their office nor would he advise anyone to use it. And the tips were flawed (in my unit) according to my doctor who treated me after the use.
My post is accurate and true and I assure you I used as directed as well as contacted Nubrilliance for advisement...they only wanted to push their product, regardless of damage or injury. As a matter of fact, they told me, "it does not work for everyone" and to try it again! Funny, that their website nor brochures do not mention that...
Thank you silly me, I am doing better now and I am glad that you did research online to check for complaints on the unit (something I wish I had done prior to using the unit)
God Bless,
Deonna
Thanks Shellide3669, I am glad that I have been able to share my story and prevent anyone else from the same experience. I know not everyone has such a bad experience but there are those who have including me.
I am happy to say that I am much better with only a few light scars now, but it was bad in the beginning. Thank God, I have gotten better! I tell everyone talk to a dermatologist first before buying anything online or by mail... learn the hard way, I did.
God bless ya!
Deonna
You are welcome MB... Going well for me and I am thankful to have come so far. God Bless
Thanks Fuming! I am doing much better, and if there was one thing I was going to do after this horrid experience... that was, be sure that I let others know BEFORE they made the same mistake. It was truly horrible and painful for a while, but I thank God every single day, for the improvement, I have a wonderful dermatologist and he is very reasonable and put me on creams and antibiotics immediately. Now, I have a few scars left behind that I continue with a cream to lighten and deminish them. But I am grateful I have just that left from the condition it first left my skin in.
Sad that companies are only about that quick buck and not the consumer. They care only about lining thier pockets and not the people. What a world we live in...
Thank you Tecla. I did contact the customer service after the first use, and they advised me that this is "common" and to wait a few days and use again, because you are exfoliating the skin and there would be reddness and irritation at first... well, after that second time, it was horrid. My doctor said the fine tip seem to be "not so fine" I kept both tips so as to show them to my doctor and let him tell me what happened. I am healing and very few scars remain and with makeup, not noticeable so I am much better than when this happened. I am thankful for that. I will never buy another product unless I can see and touch it in person and research the heck out of it from now on.
Thank you so much for your kind words and I am much better now.
Deonna
Master Estetician... No, I am not a liar. Everything that I said was pure truth as to what my experience was with NuBrilliance. My doctor and dermatologist even wrote a letter to the company so that they would do more research and check packaging so as not to put wrong pads in boxes. Quality control. And NO I am not out to make money on this experience. NEVER filed a lawsuit (and that is very easy to check) it would be a matter of record (look online). I paid for my own medical bills and all expenses incurred because of the damage done by this product. I am not a suing type person. You do not know me at all. I use very good hygene and I know how to care for my skin, the worst thing I could have done is to use the lotions that were included in the kit... HUGE mistake and if NuBrilliance did not put in the paper work and on the dvd included in the packaging the customer service number, I would not have even had a much worse experience... the woman told me to continue in a couple of days... I even sent them photos... so before you slam me, understand I am not a stupid woman. I am college educated and very honest. But no worries... I know and God knows the truth. I am much better now and will have some discoloration for the rest of my life, but as I said, my doctors were wonderful and they saved me from what could have been so much worse. I am blessed for that. And for those who have asked. I am attaching a photo of myself with my husband. No serious damage left (discolorations from scars but they are not so obvious with a little makeup) again, I am grateful to have gotten past a bad experience. Thank you to those who supported me and I am glad if my story helped someone. That is ALL this was about. No financial gain (because I had none, nor did I seek to gain any)
K.B. Thank you for your very kind words. Yes, everything has a risk and this did not work for me. In fact, it had a very adverse effect on me. And I have heard from a couple that they had success with this product and I am happy for them and grateful that they did not have the experience that I had. I am very thankful for where I am today and for my wonderful doctors who helped me to get here. To sue this company would have gone against everything that I am... my only goal was to share my story so that I could make others aware of the negative possibilities of using this product. Everything happens for a reason and if I helped one person, then that was the reason. I cannot argue with the path that God wants me to take. I am blessed and that is it, I cannot control what others say, do or believe. I can only control my reaction to them, I choose to take the high road, to be an example. Thank you for making me smile today...God Bless
Deonna
Deonna... call the news.. you can have them investigated...and get your money back from the product and the money you spent tryhing to fix the problem that their machined caused...it's a disgrace what that machine has done to you... I feel for you deeply and will pray for a quick recovery... whenever I buy a product I saw on TV.. I buy it from Walgreens, Target any other convenient store.. now anything you see on TV is being sold in many places.. if I have a problem with the product... I take it back.. get my money... write to better business bureau and report them... I always check the consumer reports on all products... Warmest regards and appreciation for your comments and photo's...
Ain't no way you could get those results unless you were over using this machine.. I"ve been using it for weeks, and my skin is clear and beautiful.. you did more than your telling sweetie, you went over board or used the wrong tips.
Deonna,
Thank you so much for posting your results. Before I buy anything online I check to see what people have experienced using the product. I saw the Nubrilliance ad this evening on TV and I was considering making the purchase. As always, I checked for people's comments on the benefit or negative of using the machine and yours is the first one I came across. I agree with your statement that it is not worth the risk to damage my face just in an attempt to remove some wrinkles, etc. I have sensitive skin and my guess is that I would probably have a reaction similar to yours. You've saved me some grief and pain. Thanks!
Nubrillance is the worst company I have ever dealt with over the phone. Thier customer service reps are truly horrible. I was able to speak to maybe two ladies that showed to be sincere to my complaints. The product is so not worth the near $300 cost because you are only able to get about 3 to 4 good uses before the suction begins to give way. I strongly advise anyone considering this product to think twice before wasting their hard earned money. The company has no compassion and the product is very, very faulty. Spend you money where people cares about your well being.
Deonna, I'm sorry to hear that nubrilliance didn't work out for you. I just bought nubrilliance a week ago and came across this site. I just finished my first session and the vacuum is quite strong but effective. I've had many microdermabrasions done in different medical offices and the vacuum is almost just as strong. The diamond fine tip is quite abrasive if you keep going over the same area especially on the face. I think that's why they tell you to start with level one then you work your way up. I noticed that level 1 is very tolerable and you can probably go over the same area a couple times and it wouldn't hurt, although they do tell you to not go over the same area on the face more than 3 times. I'm just surprised why you didn't stop using the machine soon after it started bleeding or peeling like that on one side of your face. It must've hurt a lot. Now, I have mixed feelings after reading this site.
I saw a comment earlier about the suction the machine, and I'm glad i bought a 3 yr warranty for my nubrilliance. Nubrilliance does offer warranties when you buy it directly from their website so at least i know i'll be getting at least 3 years of good use out of this. . I'm in no way affiliated with nubrilliance in case your wondering. By the way, Deonna, try using elizabeth grant night cream and serums. It will help a lot with the healing process. It will also prevent you from scarring. If the pain is unbearable, try using kalaya topical creams. It works wonders. I asked Kalaya once before if it's safe to use on my face after doing a vein laser treament cause my face was swelling from the treatment. It works right away within 3 minutes of applying it and lasts 12 hrs. I hope this helps and I also hope you recover soon. Talk to your physician or dermatologist in giving you a prescription called triluma or hydroquinone to make the scars go away. I hope that helps.
Wow. I ordered the product few weeks ago and got it yesterday. I tried it and so far no damage. I will admit though, that my skin is used to "rough" treatment. I frequently use a loofah or clay scrubs to exfoliate my face, neck and decolletage. As a matter of fact, I found the product to be VERY mild (I was expecting it to be stronger). I did stay on the first 2 settings for my face though and used the fine tip. I do believe that the Deonna could have gotten this type of reaction - particularly if she had only used her hands or a soft cloth on her skin previously. I did NOT use the skin products because the ingredients are WAY too harsh for MY skin to use before and after exfoliation. They are going on the trash or I will donate them.
I have not decided if I am going to keep the product or not. I will have to wait and see if I see any true impact. I plan to try it on my son though because he has some acne scars. I will be SURE to stick with the fine tip on a 1 setting for him though.
Deonna, I am so sorry this happened to you. How is your skin doing now? You posted this some time ago.
I'm glad you are doing better. Blessings
I was considering purchasing this product but I have learned the hard way to always check online for good or bad comments before buying anything online, especially if the company involved is only spouting the pros. I tend to have issues with some face creams myself and I can see how they could have contributed to your experience. You may have even been allergic to them. And I understand your desire to have the company state that it doesn't work for everyone. Although, I think most people these days realize that NO product works for everyone that try's it whether they tell you that or not. I'm thrilled for the people that it works for but I don't think I'm going to try it myself. Sometimes I think we all need to accept the signs of aging and be grateful to be alive long enough to see them... naaaa maybe not. lol Anyway, I'm so glad you are doing better now. Take care and thanks for the heads up!
I was going to try this product, but not before checking to see if there were any complaints concerning this product. I am glad I checked. I have very sensitive skin and after seeing those pictures I will not be purchasing this product.
Thank you for the review.
I have medical issues which has resulted in skin scarring, acne and premature wrinkling. I saw this on tv while not being able to sleep and thought it looked like a potential option. I am very sensitive (skin) and can't use many products with chemicals, phalates, parabens, ethyl-anything, etc. This seemed like a viable option without using the dangerous creams they give you with it. I am glad I found your site-but not glad for you! I can't imagine what you have had to go through. You are a kind, brave soul. Thank you so much for sharing and being so caring and kind. I have been ripped off by a few "late night" infomercial ordering stints before, but thought this one looked like a viable option. I mean, some of my fav soap starts endorse it...LOL how silly does that sound! I am so sorry for what happened to you, and thank you for sharing! Very brave. God bless! -Rae
Thanks for posting this. I was looking at microdermabrasion, but the offices charge about $100 per treatment, then I googled microdermabrasion at home and NuBrilliance showed up. The ad had a fantastic deal, to try it at home for $14. All reviews for NuBrilliance seemed great, then I decided to google NuBrilliance scam, and your posts showed up. I think that any business that advertises something they cannot deliver are scams, and if NuBrilliance did this to your face, they are a scam as well. I can't believe there is such little regulation on internet based business. If NuBrilliance has had so many complains and is considered a scam, by many, that they are still operating and selling those at home microdermabrasion machines. I think I better pay the extra money and get the job done with a professional. Thanks again for posting and I hope you feel better.
I bought this product from Shop NBC many months ago and have not used it as yet.
Now I am afraid to use it, my skin scars easily and getting rid of the darkened areas of scarring is next to impossible. Even a zit leaves behind a dark brown or red area (because of Diabetes).I will call Shop NBC and see if I can return this unopened package. My guess is that they will give me grief.
Thankyou for posting your pictures and letting everyone know about this product.
I sent my back. Although it didnt ruin my skin it didnt make an improvement. I have seen better results using a microdermabrasion cream and some good face creams. What really annoyed me was the fact they sold my phone number and email address and I have vendors calling me to tell me they had sent me some things in the mail to look at and I told them I wasnt interested and they just said to look over them and then call and cancel if I didnt want the offer. My husband then noticed 3 $1 charges on the credit card that these companies had charged. As soon as I got their info which was just pathetic store discount coupons which you get in the regular mail anyway, I called and cancel by which time one had already made a $29.95 charge to my card, even though it hasnt been the 30 days since I received the package. Im also getting hit with a ton of spam where they sold my email address. You cant order this product without giving your number. Also had some company call me 10 times yesterday and when I finally picked up they were talking about a shipment I should receive in couple of days and I told them I had not ordered anything, after letting a ton of cuss words he hung up on me. Now I have listed my phone in the do-not-call-registry and blocked that number. It's so not worth all the harrassment from these other companies not to mention charges on my credit card that are nothing to do with the nubrilliance company.
I saw the infomercial and was going to buy it. After reading your story, Deonna I changed my mind. I am very sorry for what happended to your face and thank you for sharing your story. Sad story, but very powerful. Shame on NuBrillance for not addressing your concerns. Like so many companies, all they are think about is the bottonline.
I, also, bought this product. Funny that I was on the phone but changed my mind so didn't go through with it. They called me several days later with a major price break (as long as I paid in one payment). After receiving the machine I was so afraid to use it. I did and got much of the same result as you!. The 1 setting for suction and even the fine tip were giving me the same areas as you describe. I still have broken blood vessels on the side of my nose! Guess those won't go away without a physician I did find a product that is helping even with my sagging neck. Nubrilliance creams I do like but not the machine.
So sorry you had such bad results! Its great that you found a great doctor that wasn't overcharging women who just want to look better!
Wish I had found this site before I bought the machine even though they gave me $100 off. It was still too expensive to just sit under my sink! Susan
Glad I seen this post. I was about to buy it.. I was calling them and decided to look up any complaints and came across yours... WOW that's all I could say.. So sorry glad I seen your post. Not purchasing it now.. not worth it.. I will deal with my acne scars...
I am sorry Deonna... these people are criminals. I ordered Nubrilliance but then realized it would probably hurt my acne scars. I cancelled within the time allotted and still have 3 months of charges totalling about 160.00 from "P.E.I. Coach." they say they are a personal coach that I signed up for by default! Just by setting up in the beginning with them even though I cancelled there was a "contract". What thieves. I am in the process of trying to get my $ back.

I just tried my new unit... I WATCHED the video and took notes about which end tip to use on what part of the body...I DO have sensitive skin...I followed directions and used setting one (1) on the face and chest and use the fine tip...even did the Precision tip on setting one (1)...then i used the COURSE one on my legs and arms...that woman with all the sores on her face must NOT HAVE watched the video, nor did she take notes to know which tip is used on what part of the body...I did my first treatment TODAY...and I am just fine...my skin was smooth...can't wait to see what happens after 3 weeks...
Glad I seen this post! I was about to buy it! but then decided to look up any complaints and came across yours... WOW that's all I could say! I am very sorry for what happended to your face and thank you for sharing your story. Hope you're feeling better now!
WOW..i was going too purchase this new product NuBrilliance, and after reading such horrible results, i've totally changed my mind and i sure as heck dont need people calling me and trying to sell me stuff..sorry for such a bad experience Deona, but because of you speaking out, a lot of us have realized it is not the risk..thanks again..
Deonna, Thank you so much for your review, I was thinking about purchashing this unit but after reading your review I will not. I pray for your full recovery. Thanks Again an God Bless You MB
I just saw the infomercial the other night wrote down the information and looked for comments from people who purchased this product. Thank you for taking the time to let the rest of us know about this awful product. I thought that it may be questionnable when it said the initial payment was $14.95. Get your cc and keep charging you until you have spent many, many hours trying to get the cc company to stop payment. Sorry you had such a terrible experience. As long as there are dishonest retailers, there will be lawsuits. Call a lawyer. The day of taking pride in your product or work is long gone...now it's all about just taking your money and not standing behind their word. Good Luck in healing your face!
I have been using NuBrilliance since February of this year. I inadvertently started with the course tip, and even using the highest setting, did not have any problems with my skin. After several months of regular use with both the fine and course tips, my skin is much smoother on my cheeks. I still have a couple of age spots that the machine has been ineffective on, but overall it has worked pretty well for me. I ordered the precision tip and find it useless. I called the company for a refund for the precision tip and was sent two new tips instead, still not satisfied with that particular tip. I received the NuBrilliance as a gift, would I purchase it myself after 6 months of use, probably, overall I am satisfied with the results.
I was about to order this machine after watching their infomercial, then I came across this site. I am sorry about what happened to your face. Could it be that the unit that they have sent to you was defective, as in there may be some fine sharp metals sticking out? I wish that you have discontinued after using it once . They can say in their manual that the pain and redness is normal, but then it seemed not to make sense to continue when it was getting uncomfortable. Thanks for sharing your experience. It would certainly make people think twice before wasting money on that useless product. I hope that your scars will soon fade. Take care and thank you again.

Sue them, you could have permanent scarring, and what happened was compleatly unexpected, they didnt have any wornings of this. I have been reaserching online with intintions of hopefully buying this product, i have only found one reveiw the was "good" and several that were like this. I believe this product should be taken off the market to prevent further damage. I am so sorry this happened to you, but hopefully it will send a message to others of what could happen to them.
Deonna, I had the SAME results from a REAL microdermabrasion from a reputable dermatologist many years back. I had two done, but my third was a nightmare! I think she went too deep. I had a few active pimples and everywhere she ran over that had acne, well, those ended up looking similar to your scaring. It has been over 5 years and I have some light pigmentation discolorations that I have been told can't be reversed, even with the DEEP chemical peel I had which OMG you never want to have that done, trust me! I had it done because I had a small spot of early signs of skin cancer and I thought I was going to come off the table my face was on fire. They just give you a fan to hold while they apply the chemical and lordy that doesn't help AT all, it just fans the fire LOL! I still have a few spots that scarred from the microdermabrasion so I'll never have it done again but I was thinking about trying this on a small spot to see if it works before doing it all over my whole face. I thought this might be a weaker version but obviously not. You seem to have fair skin like I do, and perhaps this machine isn't really meant for us super fair skinned gals? I dunno, but I do know that I wanted to try it but now I'll just wait for Sephora to get a unit in their stores so I can hopefully test out a small spot first. I'm sure they will eventually have them and they have a Nordstrom like return polic. Now you can only order them at their online site... they are sold out BTW... so I'll be patient. As for relieving and soothing, try Amino Genesis's Cocoon. (The regular lotion). It's not cheap, ($45 or so a bottle but I get it on eBay cheaper LOL) but SO worth it. You can use it on your face and it's SUPER light and very healing. I love the stuff. I've used it now for over 5 years (my local beauty supply store carries it) and now my alligator elbows are as soft as butter. If I stop using it, they get rough, I'm an Amino Genesis addict now LOL! Before trying it I had tried EVERYTHING, and I mean EVERYTHING including prescription lotions from the dermatologist. The doctor even gave me get this, cortisone shots in my poor bowbows and that didn't work... yet it HURT like hell! Cocoon rocks! http://www.aminogenesis.com/Cocoon-For-All-Over-Body-Use_p_22.html I keep a small bottle of it in my purse and hooked my doctors office nurses on the stuff. They love it because they have to wear gloves all day long and it does a number on their hands. When I go to LV my hands dry out SO fast unless I keep the Cocoon on a couple of times a day. Anyway, good luck and I hope you heal fast. :)

Deonna, I only used the product a few times and I felt that it made my skin Worse. I only used it 3 or 4 times. I have an appointment with a dermatolagist (sp) but can't get in until November. I am a 50 year old woman and I am tired of all the hype. Cetaphile that's what I'm on now. There is a company DHC that makes wonderful skin care product. I hope you are healing. That stuff that came with the unit wasn't worth putting on at all. Love to you
Deonna, I saw the infomercial for this product was sold then thought i should research a bit before buying/trying. I came across your complaint and whether or not I would have the same results as you experienced I am so grateful you brought the possibility to light. I thank you for telling your story. I am so glad to read you have experienced some improvement to your skin. As for a couple comments posted, I was so disheartened by "Sexibeach " ( her grammar was so ignorant) to you, implying you were lying and being condescending because you had a back experience with a TV product (like that is so impossible to believe). I also felt that someone within the Nubrillance company posted under the comment for "Shopaholic123" I have a career in PR/Marketing and the comment seemed more like well versed damage control. Anyway, i wanted to post my reply to your complaint to make certain people really understand the ulterior motives that some of these comments contain. You have been through a lot and I am certain MANY anonymous people online are re-thinking the gamble with their face to try this product. Even if you saved only one person from having the same horrific outcome as you, you saved one person.
I am very glad I checked out this product before spending the money...based on what I have read I do not intend to purchase this now. Thank you ladies for taking the time to let everyone know the issues...if it wasnt for this page, they would have made another sale. I guess if it sounds to good to be true, then it probably is!
Deonna, Thank you for all of your post and taking time to update everyone on your healing process. Iam grateful that you took time out of your schedule to let other consumers know about the dark side of this product. I was going to order it myself until I read your post and looked at your pictures. I am so happy that because of you I don't have to go thru any of NuBrilliance's BS. I have a degree in Business Management and I am a High School Business teacher. I think something needs to be done to the businesses in this country that don't stand behind their products. It is also refreshing that you didn't sue them even though you had a right to. Most people in your shoes probably would have sued or at least thought long and hard about it. What you did was educate the public about your experience. That is worth more and will go farther to save someone else from pain and suffering. Thank you again for doing the right thing and handling the situation like a responsible consumer. God Bless and I pray all is well with you.

Thank you so much for posting those photos. I ordered one the other day and think I'll be testing it out on my arm first to see if I have any type of a reaction. I think a read light therapy device would be more suitable for you.
First off-- NO product works for everybody! That should be common sense 101. Second, I agree with the person who said, ain't no way you were using the product correctly. I'm sorry for what happened to you, but that was not MY results--they have been great. I have been using the product tor 3 weeks, and will continue to use it-- correctly. The unit IS very expensive, but worth every penny for me!
My skin reddened and it appeared that I had some sort of psoriasis rash. It was around my nose my upper lip and my chin. It also itched like crazy. It was worse after using the cream. I stopped the cream and the scrub that came with the unit. My skin is almost healed now. I use the machine on all other areas of my face and neck without a problem. I will try to use it on the areas around my nose once they've healed. I firmly believe it was the scrub and the creams. I'll keep you posted.
I am an expert in skin exfoliation and as I read this, it looks like Deonna is out to make some money. Professional strength microdermabrasion treatment would not even effect the skin that way unless they were used improperly. If in fact, nubrilliance treatments did cause her skin to look this way, it would be because Deonna was using Acutane or another drug that can cause sensitivity to the skin; or more likely, she used it on an existing cystic acne breakout. Microdermabrasion is great for mild acne...not for cystic acne. By the pattern of the lesions or scars (common areas for cystic ance breakouts), it looks like she use the machine to take off the top layer, opening up the lesions causing scarring and spreading the bacteria. I am sure this company does not recommend using their machine on cystic acne or when using drugs (prescription or street) that effective skin sensitivity. If Deonna is trying to get money out of this company, I hope she loses. She is not being honest.
Deonna:
I am interested in seeing current pictures of your face asof now, 12/31/11. Can you please post some, just curious as to how you are doing now.
Deonna:
I am curious to see the progress made after your experience with NuBrilliance as of today (12/31/11) Please post current pictures, if you will. Thanks.
I think Deonna is very brave for coming forward, although she spread the infection because of poor hygiene knowledge. Infections do not just pop up out of no were if you cleans the tips and your face, but if you have an existing infection or do not clean them your inviting the bacteria onto your face. For people who don't know this, NuBrillance should put some sort of info packet. Reusing anything you put on your face with out washing it with antibacterial soap can spread existing infections. Kind of the same premise of how you do not share eyeliner. This is obviously more serious with NuBrillance because it is abrasive on the skin's surface where bacteria love to congregate. It is not up to NuBrillance to inform you of this but they should let people know, just as a back up.
I wash those tips with Dial antibacterial soap, scrub them, then let them air dry-after every use, then I put rubbing alcohol on a Q-Tip and swab the tips before I use them. I do this with my make-up brushes as well. Bacteria love to reproduce and human are the perfect bed.
I love my NuBrilliance! Never had an issue with it, looks like I had my dermabrasion done professionally.
I never believe anything I see on a late-night informercial, no matter how favorable the product sounds. All those people are interested in is in getting your credit card number. The NuBrilliance informercial looks and sounds like the scam that it is. What it promises cannot possibly be accomplished with its cheap-looking product. Instead, a person with facial discoloration or wrinkes needs expensive treatment to get noticable results. I noticed that a number of models on the informercial are too young to even be showing signs of aging around their eyes, yet, they are seen using the product to "get rid" of crow's feet. Yeah, riiiight. That reminds me of women's girdle ads that are modeled by women who don't need a girdle.
I am deeply sorry for anyone who was taken in by NuBrilliance's deceptive infomercial. In the future, if you MUST buy something from a TV ad, DON'T expect to hear negative testimonials about the product because you'll never get it. Instead, do some online research on that product while your credit card is still in your wallet. You may find that others were suckered into buying merchandise that did not work as advertised. That might save you a lot of physical pain as well as emotional anguish from trying to return the product and getting your money back, which a lot of those TV advertisers are unwilling to do.
Take care, all of you.
Carl B.
Just so you'll know, pal, a number of infomercials like the one I commented on are targeted at both men AND women. Next time, think first before you post.
