I was shopping lastnight, like we always do at your store on Sundays, at the location in Kamloops, BC. There was a guy in front of us, who had some food, basic essentials, and the cashier named Jessica who was the front end clerk, said she could not take his change that was in rolls, because they didn’t fit in her till, she was directed by her supervisor and manager that she was not allowed to take it. The guy who was trying to purchase his food, looked very sad, and I said don’t worry about it, and I paid it for him. He offered to give me the change rolled up, and I said it was ok, and that the store should take his money. It was August 27th, 2023 @9:40pm. I stopped and talked the the supervisor and let her know, there is many evacuees from all around us, who only left with their clothes on their back, and that could have been all that guy had, and they were just going to turn him away. I was in disbelief, and told them I was going to follow up in email, asking, if that policy can be changed, to accommodate people who don’t have bills or debit cards. Money is money, and that guys heart looked crushed
Desired outcome: Policy changing to be inclusive, allowing people to purchase their basic need of survival (food..etc) with change of that is all they have.
Real Canadian Superstore - Price match
Hi. I went to Real Canadian Superstore in Kamloops on Feb. 10. I went to price match 2 boxes of Janes boneless bites (price match to Walmart for $6.97) and about 10 Campbell soups (price match to Walmart for .97). I was informed that Superstore is no longer price matching to other flyers unless I physically bring in a copy of the competitors flyer. They told me they can’t match to an online flyer. I was just price matching an online offer. I was price matching the actually flyer but in digital format. The staff were not to friendly when I tried to explain it was not an online offer. It was quite embarrassing and I lost out over $25 in savings.
Real Canadian Superstore - The gift for the day of June 22nd 2022
I am disappointed to find out what was giving as the gift to cover the fact of the original gift being sold out. The gift was a Homedics portable massager and they were all out so we received the next thing in line which was a 18 person party pack PC planet first. How does this even compare to that at all... I always shop at super store as this is the best place to get everything my family of 8 needs food and essential wise. I'm very disappointed in this and am hoping there is another idea as to what people can choose like maybe pts rather then a compostable party pack set.
Desired outcome: I'm unsure as to what really I'm just disappointed.
Real Canadian Superstore - Self check out dirty
This superstore in Kamloops was very disgustingly dirty at the self checkout.
With all the covid that is around you would think the store would be extra careful of the cleanliness. I wish I would of taken a picture. It is so hard to explain how dirty it was. I didn't want to touch anything on it.
There was a fellow standing close by handing out bags if needed but had no concern about the effect the dirt has on customers.
Desired outcome: store manager to help employees keep on top of cleaning
