On Nov 9 2019 I purchased a Bosch 300 series dishwasher for a great price. At the persons prompting I used my husbands Bay card rather than a MC or visa which I could easily have. HBC's 'system' went down while we were placing the order so the service agent apologized but said she would have to process the order manually and we would get a receipt in a few days, then we would pick up at the distribution centre in Richmond. A few days later my husband received a message that there was a problem with his card and our order was cancelled. He called back and resubmitted the order and was assured that everything went through. We have received no messages by phone or email since then. Today he took the day off work and drove (an hour each way) to the distribution centre in Richmond BC, where he was told the order was cancelled (again!) . After 2 hours on the phone and an incredible amount of frustration, my husband was told that the card was suspended because they didn't have his company name, which makes no sense as it is a personal card. He was also told that because the sale is now over they won't honor the price. so after 3 hours of driving then arguing on the phone with the HBC customer service, he drove home with no dishwasher and absolutely NO help at all from anyone he spoke with. I would like to point out that both these occasions that we were lead to believe that the purchase went through, there was no fault on our end. If your system wasn't down on Nov 9, the purchase would have been confirmed that day, rather than cancelled 2x. If his card had an unresolvable problem that day we would have just paid with an alternative method. I do not accept that we should not be able to purchase that dishwasher at the sale price and although I am terribly disappointed, I just want my complaint escalated and a solution.
