I came in tonight (10/15) and tried buying 2 different packs of socks. One was marked down to 5.94 and the other 1.94. The cashier tried to charge me 4.something for the 1.94 pack and I pointed out that the sticker said 1.94. She called upon one of the most childish I'm assuming shift managers ever. They were joking around, unhelpful, and just essentially told me I had to see customer service to actually get it at the discounted price. Since when are cashiers not allowed to price change?
This store has always been so badly managed and just overall horrible to visit.

I have been shopping at the Gateway location in Winnipeg for more than 12 years now and unfortunately find myself driving to Sobeys to shop more and more. I have found with Superstore more often than not the store is dirty (the produce mirrors are filthy), you can't find helpful staff ( told to go to customer service), and the shelves are bare (how can you be out of milk or creamer?).
Customers had to endure the dirt and the dust with the long lasting store renovations only to find the cosmetic area is basically no longer. Now the ladies that were so helpful in that department are reduced to merchandisers, not only is that a shame but a waste of talent.
I am not naive and know that to the corperate bigwigs it is all about the dollar signs but as a consumer you need to know that we consumers will go somewhere else and pay a bit more eventually if we are not satisfied with the service we recieve. Fork out the extra wages and staff the store, stock your shelves and clean up. We consumers made your store what it is, remember that.
The main reason for writting this is that once again I was shopping at your store as it was enroute to where I was heading and after filling my cart (4 items not on shelves)with mostly canned goods I proceed to the registars only to find 2 (I repeat 2) full service registars open. This was at 2:30 on a Saturday afternoon. I waited for 27 minutes in line to be checked out by a cashier that was so stressed, not a pleasent experience, I felt bad for her. On my way out I stopped by customer service only to be told that the head office was once again cutting back to hours, no apology or anything.
The customers are fed up, the staff is fed up, you need to wake up.
So once again I believe I will be visiting Sobeys for their clean, stocked store and to cashiers with a smile who bag my purchase. I'll pay the extra for that!

Bought a 710 ml of mayo-style spread, plant-based. Made a huge batch of cold pasta like i always do tasted horrible like the mayo was expired but was not. I just wasted approximately 30 dollars on ingredients, everything else was fresh not to mention spending an hour & a half cutting & preparation .not impressive. I spend 300. To 350. Every 2 weeks. What are you going to do for me?
Yesterday afternoon October 23/17 I was at superstore the one on Regent with my granddaughter inside my vehicle, I was about to park in the parking spot with the pink sign for mother's with babies and small children. All of a sudden I saw this person directing this big white jeep to take the spot for mother's and children.
Yes this big white jeep to the spot and this big guy came out from his big jeep with no children.
